It was hard to find, and on a steep entrance - but once arrived - the hosts were absolutely amazing and lovely. The views were sensational, and the walk into town took 10mins along train track breakfast was hugh, and delicious. We wish we stayed for two nights, Ella is so gorgeous.n. We arrived late in the day and were really hungry, the host made us especially tea and toast to keep our stomachs full.

Thank you for the most beautiful stay at Nil Diya Mankada Safari Lodge! We truly wish we could have stayed longer than 1 night! From the time of arrival, we felt so welcomed. The facilities, including the pool, garden, and reception area, were well maintained and were warm and inviting. The restaurant offered beautiful food for both breakfast and dinner. And not to mention the wonderful safari we went of in the afternoon where we saw numerous elephants, peacocks, various birds, deer, monitor, and crocodiles. Would highly recommend booking here, don't even hesitate!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nil Diya Mankada. The rooms were clean, modern, and filled with natural materials. The staff was attentive and helpful, and the hotel grounds were stunning. We also enjoyed a great safari tour organized by the hotel at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this hotel for its beautiful design, friendly staff, and convenient amenities.

We had an amazing time at Nil Diya Mankada. The pool was incredibly clean and well-maintained, making it a joy to relax in. The food at the open restaurant was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to satisfy everyone in the family. The entire property was spotless and very well-kept. We’ll definitely be back!

We only stayed for one night and the hotel room was so cosy and the manager and staff were really great and helpful. The food waa really tasty too and the manager made us complimentary juices that were delicious! Everyone made our stay super comfortable and the manager organised a Safari tour for the next day. Our guide was great and we seen lots of elephants and wildlife!

Only downfall was there was no English channels on the TV!

Nil Diya Mankada impressed us with its spotless pool and grounds. The food was fantastic—flavorful and freshly prepared every time. It’s rare to find such a clean and well-maintained hotel with such warm hospitality. We can’t wait to visit again!

AN AMAZING HOTEL TO UNWIND AND GO SAFARI. SUPERB MODERN ROOMS ARE PROVIDED.THE STAFF WAS ADVOCATE. Our expectations were exceeded by the large swimming pool, beautifully maintained garden, and delicious food.

I had the most amazing experience ever. The owner was so welcoming. The lodge was super authentic and cute and had the safari theme. I couldn’t recommend this enough.

I can’t name a single fault.

Great location to take a sunrise safari at Udawalawe. They helped organise a private tour for two with a knowledgeable guide. The property is in a great location, we easily walked into town and visited the elephant orphanage one afternoon. The locals were all very friendly - it felt like a lovely community surrounding the property. They had bikes to use. The staff are all very friendly, a clean, comfortable hotel. The food was good. A highlight was being able to play pool after dinner in their open air games area. The swimming pool was nice and they had a variety of trees, named throughout the grounds - it was nice to explore.

Only that it was so quiet, it’s a lovely place which should be enjoyed by more couples, families and groups wanting to explore the Udawalawe area!
