The resort is beautiful, surrounded by trees and nature, and very cozy. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, with a balcony and comfortable beds. The beach is very nice (part of Cote d'Or) and the pool is also perfect. The food is excellent - we ate breakfast and dinner (buffet) there almost all the times. The food is good and varied, and it is also cost-effective in relation to other places in Seychelles. There was even a Management Cocktail evening with a local show. Very cool.

The location is a bit tricky - unless you have a car. Otherwise taxis everywhere since the bus is not that comfortable or reliable (schedule wise). Nevertheless, Cote d'Or is still the location I would choose to stay again.

Me and my new wife went from London to Mauritius then onto wedding day in the Seychelles. My wife’s birthday was on same day as wedding. Everyone at this resort made her birthday and our wedding day extremely special. The food prepared freshly and different themes by the chef and his team is amazing- you can eat all you like and they actually encourage you to try new dishes. The rooms are cosy and intimate, they have everything you will need and if you’re missing anything the super friendly staff will ensure it’s provided in a blink of an eye. Everything about this resort is perfect. Don’t take on board the negative energy from other guests- they obviously wish they were at Raffles but want to pay 5 times the amount for half the service, charm , friendly hospitality you will certainly receive at Acajou. Massive thank you to Bruno, Nuwan, Jay, both chefs in fact the entire team from the landscapers to house keeping - as a team working together-YOU ALL made our stay and our special day the most memorable experience ever !! Another huge thank you to Joanise the general manager who spent time chatting to us and laid on an amazing cocktail party for the entire resorts guest with traditional dancing , sublime nibbles and plenty of coconut rum cocktails. The location right on gorgeous quiet beach , the staff, the rooms, the cleanliness, the gardens…. everything about Acajou is WOW. 🤩

Nothing - Everything is Perfect

best part of volbert beach is in front of the hotel, really great sea. Nice to have the shades and chaise longues good pool but with such a nice sea, we never used it but it has a nice bar/restaurant on it very nice food, every day for 6 days with different menu breakfast was proper amazing garden, much better than the pictures balcony view was very refreshing and nice hotel is not isolated, it is near the village where you have amazing place much cheaper to eat overall staff were really nice and pleasant we visited the other side of the island and there was a lot of seaweed around grand anse/airport so we were very pleased to have stayed (last week of may) in anse volbert area. Also, fyi, petite anse was closed and anse lazio is better more worthy of a visit than anse boudin (which is still nice, if you have the time).

bed was not good. first night we could not sleep well and had back and neck pain due to the bad and old mattress we asked to change and as of the second night it was better but still not very good need new mattress urgently to provide a proper night of sleep one of the staff during the dinner was too flirty and exaggerated a bit on his ways of being 'helpful' while looking at my partner's front and making some comments or exclamations that were inappropriate besides these 2 points, all was very good and overall, with the package half board of 315eur per night was quite correct, considering the experience and other hotel prices. Note that if you dont have it, you would easily spend 80eur per day for breakfast and dinner...

Unfortunately the beach area is full of sandflies, which are not dangerous but they leave nasty bites that are super itchy. This info could be part of the introduction talk when guests arrive, if we had known this we would have used lots of repellent beforehand when laying by the beach, and we wouldn’t be now scratching ourselves with the bites we got everywhere :(

The beach in front of the Acajou Beach Resort was beautiful. We could walk about 20 minutes in either direction on pure white sand. The breakfast was generous and very good, but it took us a little while to realize we could ask for omelettes and special coffees such as cappuccinos.

The beds were very hard but otherwise the rooms were very comfortable and the AC worked well.

We booked the deluxe sea view room and the view was amazing! Very close to the most amazing beach on Praslin. There were sunbeds that made the staying even more relaxing. We had halfboard and the food was perfect! Breakfast the same everyday but dinner had different tematics every night. There were a lot of options at the buffet, including desserts and we couldn’t find something that was not tasty. So big like for the food. The staff was very nice, they cleaned the room daily and tried to help us with whatever we needed.

You have to pay extra for your drinks at dinner. That was an unpleasent surprise considering the fact that we paid more than 440€/night and we didn’t receive at least water at dinner and had to pay for it. Also, you had to pay extra for the transfer at/ from the airport/ferry. Again, for this money the transfer should be included. So the value for money is not great, the management can change just a little bit in some cases and everything would be a 10/10. Don’t forget to bring some anti-bug spray, considering yhe vegetation around, there are some ants in the room and some flyes in the garden/beach during the evening.

The beach at this property was exceptional. Crystal clear water, white sand, just beautiful. The beach amenities were okay (standard loungers without cushions). The food was fantastic. Compliments to the chef. The service in particular was FANTASTIC. Each employee in the breakfast and dinner area (le boucanniers) went out of their way to ensure guests were happy. we really enjoyed the service

the rooms were a bit outdated, especially the bathrooms. they could certainly benefit from an upgrade. the beach loungers could also benefit from an upgrade or cushions.

Hotel is in a great location set amongst the trees and right on a beautiful beach. Great size pool to cool down in. Great staff and great food. Definitely recommend the half board option.

It's pretty quiet so recommend hiring a car to get about, much better value for money than very expensive taxis or tours. TVs were quite dated and would expect a hotel like this to have smart tvs for netflix etc.

Room smelled a bit of humidity when we first arrived, probably some time closed without A/C. It went away while we stayed there. Breakfast was nice but a bit too much of the same every morning, Just changing a couple of things every day could give a sense of variety
