Everything was great. Beautiful location, very welcoming staff. We spent 3 nights in a junior suite, which is on the Black Parrot side of the resort. It’s an adults only side, with a quiet pool and plenty of Sun loungers and seating in a covered area with fans. The room was just beautiful, we were in room 502 which had a beautiful balcony, perfectly situated to watch the sunset in private every evening. The wooden fittings / doors etc are slightly dated, but it didn’t take from the luxury of the place at all.

Nothing really - except we love to snorkel and found out that the best side of the island to snorkel on changes every 6 months - at the moment, this side has rougher seas and sea grass, visibility was effectively zero, we couldn’t even see our hands in front of our faces! but Anse Lazio on the other side of the island was fantastic for snorkelling, and although it was booked out before we got there, the resort does offer a free shuttle bus there 3 times a week.

Our stay was amazing, staff unbelievably helpful and they really contributed to make us feel happy and looked after. The room was big and we did not feel it was small for the two of us. Our room was facing the beach and was located in the upper garden.The facilities were great including the swimming pool, the standup paddle (free) and bike rental (for a fee) and the pontoon that was a highlight during sunset. They do regular trips to Anse Lazio (free) and offer hikes (also free). Food at the breakfast buffet or on the evening buffet was amazing too, great selection and quality. The wildlife was also great as we could see black parrots, all sort of birds and lizards in the garden.

Sometimes a bit quiet in the evening and a bit remote but we wanted quiet so it was fine for us.

We visited on our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and we felt like they really went out of their way to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. We also loved the food at the hotel, particularly the breakfasts, and also the complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits offered every afternoon which we thought was a lovely touch. The sunsets from the pontoon are also fantastic! At the time we visited (in early September) this part of the island was very windy and unfortunately it was not possible to use the hotel's beach or swim in the ocean, however I imagine this would be lovely at other times of year. I would also recommend hiring a car if possible, because there is not much within walking distance of the hotel - however many places are just an easy drive away. Special mention to Joe at the bar (excellent cocktails and great conversation), Phillip at check-in, and Tharindu and Harry in the restaurant. • Large, accessible pool with plenty of sun loungers both poolside and on the beach. • Stunning saltwater infinity pool on the pavilion, perfect for watching the sunset. • Excellent snorkelling right off the pavilion, plus three platforms to swim out to for a fun challenge. • Staff consistently go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable and well looked after. • Honeymoon perks, including 10% off a full-body welcome massage and a romantic beachfront gazebo dinner (the food was incredible!). • Spacious, spotless rooms with a bright and comfortable feel. • High-quality, fresh food across all meals. • Free two-hour guided nature walk through the hotel’s private trail with an expert guide (we didn’t join but heard great feedback).

• Not suitable for guests with mobility issues—no lifts or stair lifts, and many rooms require climbing lots of steps (unless staying at pool level). • Limited vegetarian options for evening meals, with menus heavily curry-based most nights (great if you love curry, less so if you don’t). • The location is very remote—without a rental car, getting around is difficult

The location is excellent, but what truly sets this place apart is the STAFF! Ahmed, Harry, Ajay and the rest of the team went above and beyond to make us feel at home- their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were genuinely 5-star. It’s rare to find this kind of hospitality, and it made our stay truly special and memorable. Thank you for making our experience so unique and charming!

If we had to mention a couple of downsides: the WiFi connection was a bit weak at times, and our room had an interconnecting door to the neighbors’, which slightly affected the sense of privacy.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Coco De Mer Hotel and Black Parrot Suites! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Special thanks to Vinod, Chef Raj, and Ahmed, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort—they were always attentive, kind, and ready to lend a hand. The facilities were top-notch and impeccably maintained, creating a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere throughout the stay. One of our favorite touches was the complimentary tea hour—a perfect, calming segue into the evening. Limited food options for vegetarians for lunch and dinner. The hotel did its best to accommodate my needs and also offered an option to choose veg options from the a la carte menu that will be covered to a certain cost. We also took advantage of the organized trip to Anse Lazio, which was honestly one of the best experiences of our trip. A definite highlight and very well arranged! Each morning, we looked forward to the delightful breakfast spread, which was fresh, varied, and a great way to start the day. Our room was spacious, extremely comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and the evening turndown service added an extra layer of comfort and care. Overall, this was an exceptional stay. I would highly recommend Coco De Mer and Black Parrot Suites to anyone looking for a serene and memorable getaway in the Seychelles.

The AC in the rooms could not keep up with the heat and humidity- might need servicing.

The location is amazing. The staff was 5 stars, professional, kind and always there to assist. Despite the size of the hotel, you get the feeling of a family hotel. Everyone greets you with a smile and is very attentive to the guests needs. To me that is the most important part. We were so pleased that we ended up staying longer than planned. The danger is that you won't want to leave! The facilities were also superb, from the room, to the pools, the beach, the watersports, the excursions. Everything was amazing.

An Unforgettable Birthday and Perfect Hospitality It’s rare to find a hotel where you truly feel like you’ve come home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; they responded immediately to every request and always welcomed us with a genuine smile. For my birthday, I was surprised with something truly special: the entire staff lined up and sang “Happy Birthday” to me. It was such a touching and memorable moment — I have never experienced such thoughtfulness anywhere else! The live music every evening created an amazing atmosphere, providing the perfect backdrop for dinners and late-night conversations. Our room was absolutely perfect as well: spacious, spotless, comfortable, and beautifully furnished with everything we needed. Overall, this hotel was an outstanding choice in every way. The kindness and heartfelt attention of the staff made our stay truly unforgettable. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone!

We unfortunately were only able to stay two nights at Coco de Mer, but still had a great experience. Coco de Mer is very modern and clean. The staff members are a dream, they're super friendly and helpful. On our arrival we were greeted by one of the directors Ash and manager Ahmed, and immediately felt welcomed and comfortable around them. We've mentioned in our booking that we were vegan and requested if they could take that into consideration and of course they catered to that. Right away at the beginning during our check-in Ahmed took notice of that and even called the chef for us. One evening the dinner was a la carte and the chef whipped up a vegan dinner menu for us and the other evening dinner was buffet night and even here he took us for a tour around the buffet and showed us what we could eat - and there were lots of choices! Breakfast is buffet style and also has a lot of choices, if by any chance there isn't the staff would definitely cater to that and cook something separately. On our departure day our ferry back to Mahe left a bit later than check-out and Ahmed tried his best to accommodate to that also and checked availability with the reception. Lucky for us we were able to check out a bit later! During breakfast and dinner the staff are always very attentive and taking their time to have chat with us sharing their stories and give out advices and recommendations on the island. Harry and Babar were super friendly and accomodating. We had a very special connection with Babar, he was so so caring! On a side note to my fellow germans: Ahmed, Harry und Babar können super deutsch! Special thanks to Ahmed and Barbar and the chef, whose name we unfortunately forgot, for making our experience at Coco de Mer so much better than we already would have.

We visited Praslin to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and our stay at Coco de Mer and Black Parrot Suites made it truly unforgettable. The staff went above and beyond to make our celebration special, surprising us with a beautifully crafted cake and a heartfelt, handmade card. It’s these personal touches that made our trip so memorable—thank you to the entire team! What truly sets this hotel apart is its outstanding staff. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ahmed, who greeted us with a refreshing welcome drink and thoroughly explained the many complimentary activities available during our stay. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. I highly recommend opting for the half-board option during your stay. First, the food is absolutely incredible—delicious, varied, and full of local flavors. Second, the hotel is somewhat secluded, and navigating Praslin in the evening can be a bit challenging due to the narrow, unlit roads. Having dinner at the hotel is not only convenient but also a culinary delight. One pleasant surprise was that the drink prices at the hotel were quite reasonable compared to other places in the Seychelles, and the variety of beverages was impressive. Special thanks to Ajay, who took care of us at every meal. His friendly conversations, helpful suggestions about the island, and thoughtful attention to our preferences made each dining experience a pleasure. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the dinner staff, who were equally welcoming, although I regret not remembering all their names. Anura and Nirakar at the Mango Bar also deserve a mention for their attentiveness during our visits. A unique highlight of our stay was feeding an eel in the hotel’s natural stream—a truly amazing experience made possible by Raien, one of the chefs, who kindly guided us through this.

The hotel itself is a bit dated, but it’s clear that they are working hard to maintain the property, and most importantly, everything is kept impeccably clean. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty, but honestly, this wasn’t an issue for us as we came here to relax and disconnect.
