Restaurant Hotel Baldi was in an excellent location for travelling north through Switzerland. We were on Motorcycles and the parking is directly adjacent to hotel. The evening meal was excellent and good value. Rooms were excellent for cost! I would definitely recommend it for a stop over as close to Gotthard tunnel and other famous passes.

Breakfast offering was adequate but quality was a little poor. A shame as this was the only criticism I could make for this excellent Hotel

The owners of the guesthouse were very nice and helpful. They allowed us to park our motorbikes inside a lockable private garage for free and even dried our clothes until the morning as it had been raining heavily for several days. Dinner and breakfast were traditional Italian and very good.

The room equipment was somewhat older. The room itself felt uncomfortable. On the contrary, the bathroom was renovated, well equipped and nice.

The room was quiet and well equipped. The bathroom very small, but provided with everything needed. Although the structure was closed on the arrival day, the owner provided us with the booked room, since Booking allowed us to book it. In the end we probably did not get exactly the online booked room, but that was not a problem for us.

It should be considered that tourists coming from abroad rarely have the possibility to make phone calls in Switzerland at a reasonable price. Moreover my provider for technical reasons was making my calls abroad appear as from an “unknown/hidden number” and the structure was not accepting such calls. I had to phone the owner once arrived (since the structure was closed), but could not and in the end I had to stop people on the road to ask for help. Not the ideal situation. Not really a complaint, but just sharing to improve on this side.

Very clean hotel, the room did smell of fresh lemon :-) basic amenities, all the needed ones. Beds were very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is very close to the highway and only 15 km from the tunnel

Nothing to report on the hotel. I did find the dinner I little bit expensive, though the food was excellent.

Breakfast was very nice and scrambled eggs were also provided on request. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The hotel was less than five minutes walk from the train station. Food in the restaurant downstairs offered food of quality at reasonable prices (based on the swiss standards)

We had some issues when checking in but the staff helped to sort out in 10 minutes.

Great location for an overnight stop. The bed and pillow were really comfortable to me. Good space for a family of 4. The room was very clean. They were flexible with late check in time.

No way to block the sun when it rises in the early morning. A fan would be nice.

We've stayed at the Hotel Baldi on many occasions over the past 12 years or so. It's a great little place, which as been run by the same family for years. It has everything you need for a short stay -the rooms are clean and comfortable, there's parking on site and the food is good. It's excellent value as well. We'll be visiting again soon.

There's nothing to not like.

Freindly staff and nice restaurant on ground floor with great home cooked meals. Really enjoyed our stay here as preperation for a week of ski touring. Owner really tried to make a super breakfast.

Very friendly host. Reasonable price. Clean room and comfortable bed. Perfect coffee in the middle. Nice atmosphere in the morning when a lot of locals turn up for a coffee. Really special.

No lift. Had to carry suitcases upstairs. Small bathroom, although was very clean.

Easy to find with exceptionally friendly and considerate staff who went above and beyond to help us. We ate at their restaurant and had nice food and a decent breakfast. The shower in the bathroom was fabulous, hot and powerful. Parking was easy and free.

Some people may not like the location between a main road and railway line, but it did not bother us.
