Clean and functional accommodation. Ideal location for tours of local passes (Gotthard, Lukamanier, Nufenen , etc). South side of Gotthard, so makes an ideal over night stop between Northern Europe and Italy. Breakfast I passed on as from previous visits I found it better to get a coffee and croissant from elsewhere. Dinner served is very good however.

Easy to locate, parked motorcycle 🏍 outside property. Hotel is old so modern touches are missing, a / c etc. Shared toilet and shower 🚿 down corridor but sink in room. Slept well in my 2 nights stay. Breakfast was fine but they had another room number on table. Waitress soon sorted it, easy chk out.

Staff are helpful Pizzeria provides delicious food. Just perfect for us to stay overnight in the mid-way of our trip.

The bath/shower is quite hard to operate. For a family, we would prefer to have twins beds instead of bunk beds if available. Room size is not spacious but as we just stay 1 night, it is OK.

A great place with a great location, especially if you are traveling by train. The room is sweet and cozy and the old furniture does not spoil this. It even adds a special charm to the room. Everything is very clean and comfortable.

The couple of moments that could be better is the language ability of the staff ) when your Italian is poor that can be a problem. One more thing is that you can hear your neighbours better that you would like sometimes)

Our room was simple but spacious with two twin beds and a bunk bed. The bathroom had a tub bath. Breakfast at the hotel was ample and good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Be sure to ask for the Ticino Ticket when you check in, which allows free trips on trains and buses in the region as well as discounts on tourist attractions. The location, across the street from the train station, made transportation very easy and accessible.

The hotel is dated and was not much changed from the way it was when I stayed there over 40 years ago. However, everything worked and there were no problems.

We were able to park for free at the train station across the street. The hotel is right in the heart of the “downtown”/train station area. Great staff and an excellent breakfast.

A small thing, but the shower mount in the shared bathroom was broken, so we had to hand-hold the shower sprayer.

Immaculately clean and this is the most important. Excellent Pizzeria serving good food. Friendly staff. Good location just by the exit of the south side of the tunnel.

First impression on arrival isn’t great but then you realise that although it’s a really old hotels it’s immaculately clean.

Very good location just opposite the railway and bus station, garage for bicycles, good Breakfast and they have a great restaurant with excellent pizzas

No private bathroom (which is ok), but the shower should be fixed

We had a room with a lot of light, fully meeting the expectations we had. Perfect for one night or a short stay. Good in-house restaurant.

Shared bathroom can be quite a walk along the corridor away, with only one WC per gender and one shower. Manageable though

Arrived quite late after experiencing long delays getting through tunnel. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant is excellent and great customer service

Shared bathroom was along the hallway and door kept slamming when in use by other occupants
