Oblu Select Sangeli was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and an unmatched level of hospitality that set the tone for our stay. The beach villa we stayed in was a dream come true—spacious, impeccably clean, and equipped with luxurious amenities. The foliage surrounding the villa gave us true privacy and it was only a few steps to a very quiet turquoise water beach with stunning snorkelling. The dining options were phenomenal! Every meal was a culinary masterpiece, offering a delightful mix of local Maldivian flavours and international cuisine. The seafood was especially fresh and delicious. The staff went above and beyond to cater to our dietary preference, eating mainly vegan food and ensured we always had our choice of meals. Special mention to Chefs Rahul and Vijay and server Mohamed who were always there to make sure we were happy. Also worth mentioning was the array of activities included in the plan; from snorkelling with vibrant marine life – we saw dolphins, turtles and sharks along with schools of tropic fish. Also included were massages at the resort’s spa which was the ultimate relaxation haven, with treatments that left us rejuvenated and stress-free. The pool party was great fun and the evening entertainment was really enjoyable. The attention to detail and personalized service were unmatched and we are already planning our return trip. Highly recommended!

Yoga classes were usually 7am. I was not getting up that early on my holiday, but would have loved to join yoga classes a bit later. We did the pilates one in the afternoon, but would appreciate more on offer please!

Wonderful staff, couldn't be more helpful. Our transfer to the island had a bit of a hiccup and we were offered a free upgrade. Very good value for money. Including the free transfers, included boat trips for snorkelling, included meals at the speciality restaurants as I am not a fan of buffet. Great dive team. Felt very safe with them and great dive site with corals and fish. Home reef was great too - saw sharks, turtles, rays as well as beautiful fish and coral.

My one complaint was the very loud dance music in the mornings at the main pool. Yes you could go to the other island but it was the best pace for snorkelling. I only noticed it Saturday so maybe it's a Saturday thing but really ruined the peaceful island ambience. I wonder if a vote of the clients would be a good idea to see if the majority want that.

Our stay in the Maldives was an extraordinary experience that we will cherish forever. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfectly orchestrated to ensure a memorable and luxurious holiday. The complimentary speedboat transfer was timely and smooth, setting the tone for our stay. One of the highlights was the exceptional dining experience. As vegetarians, we were thrilled with the variety of options available. Breakfast was a delight, featuring an array of Indian dishes, including fresh masala dosas and other vegetarian delicacies. Lunch and dinner were equally impressive, with delicious soups, a live tandoori roti counter, and an authentic Chinese noodle station that served up freshly made dishes bursting with flavor. The drink selection was just as impressive. We enjoyed refreshing mocktails like the Ocean Paradise, and the cocktails and whiskey offerings were expertly crafted and of the highest quality. The staff truly made our stay special with their warmth and hospitality. We celebrated my wife’s birthday during our visit, and the staff went above and beyond, decorating our room beautifully and surprising us with a delicious cake, which made the day even more memorable. The resort offered a range of complimentary activities that added to the magic of our stay. We took advantage of the free snorkeling equipment and explored the vibrant underwater world right next to our water villa. The complimentary 45-minute spa session was a blissful experience, and the sunset fishing tour and deep-sea snorkeling were unforgettable adventures. We also enjoyed kayaking and paddle boating, all of which were provided free of charge. For an additional cost ($244) , we tried parasailing, which was an exhilarating experience worth every penny. The cleanliness of the resort and our room was impeccable, adding to the overall sense of luxury and comfort. This Maldivian paradise is a destination we highly recommend and can’t wait to return to.

Great dive centre and good excursions . Nice local reef. Outstanding cleanliness and staff were excellent . Good variety of food. Location 1 hr boat trip from airport and resort easy to walk and access. Bar and pool really well laid out with lots of seating both in the sun and the shade .

On the day we left we had a late flight however had to take a midday boat from the island - so half a day wasted at airport. You also have to pay additional for lunch on the day of departure . I would think they should include this as other resorts do . Late checkouts also only by payment and not by availability. Food at a la carte restaurants very good but quality of buffet not excellent .

Staff were brilliant, attentive, friendly and informative. The food at just Grill was exceptional. Rooms were comfortable and generally well equipped. The whole resort was well kept, clean, easy to get golf buggies etc. The staff really made the place and made us feel so welcome.

Some very minor requests based on our preferences: 1) mirror over the desk in the bedroom would have been beneficial as it’s too hot to do hair and make up in the bathroom. 2) sunbeds on the beach were not the best quality for a 5 star resort. Would have been nice to have had wooden beds with cushions. The above would not stop us coming back to the resort, any other minor issues we had were resolved quickly through a phone call to reception.

We decided to come to the Maldives for the first time with our daughter on our 9th trip. After doing some research, we looked for an all-inclusive first-class resort in Male Atoll. Oblu Sangeli was just right for us. We liked the hotel very much, the serenity plan was great, it had a wonderful nature and facilities. We snorkeled a lot during our trip and ate great food. The house reef was very beautiful but swimming was quite difficult. The snorkeling tours were very nice, dolphins passed by us many times. We also had a free massage. There are very few things to criticize about the hotel. My reservation request was for a villa close to the reef, but it was very difficult to enter the sea from the villa and the stairs were very difficult, next time I should book somewhere closer to the main island. Waiting for the buggy takes a long time and accessing the room is difficult during rainy weather. The bar and beach area were very nice, there is less current here and I could look under the water very easily with my armbands, and it is very thoughtful to have safety ropes in the sea. The staff is very friendly and the cleaning is very good. I would like to thank Laura, who took care of us, for her hospitality. I hope she comes to our country and we enjoy hosting her and I always want to stay in touch with her. It was a holiday that all members of the family were satisfied with. It was also a more economical holiday compared to our other accommodations. I wish the boat transfer times and waiting were shorter.

The quality and variety of the food was excellent and exceeded my expectations without a doubt. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and overall amazing, especially our butler Niheart. The Honeymoon villa was beyond stunning. The activities and entertainment for the holidays were a great addition.

The range of activities could be a little more expansive. The sunset fishing trip seemed a little lackluster - I understand that you don't always catch fish but the staff could have made it seem a little more exciting. It would have been nice to include one more excursion for the Serenity (all-inclusive) plan for those who didn't feel comfortable swimming/snorkeling. It would have been nice to have more regular buggy service between the 2 islands. We wanted to spend more time at the adults only pool, so adding some activities there would have been great.

Variety of food options, pools and experiences

Given this is our second visit in consecutive years, I hope you take this an opportunity to improve the guest experience: 1. Kids club - the Oblu app / or Oblu send WhatsApp notification about kids events. Maybe include different experiences for differing age groups - I.e environmental activities or learn about the ocean etc. these didn’t seem to be this active. 2. Kids - with restaurant opening times starting at 7pm, the small kids are falling asleep in restaurants, I’d suggest you offer kids snacks in the Sangs bar (pizza etc) at 5:30-7pm to feed the kids and help out parents. 3. Oblu app - look at the functionality to add the ability to * events that you would be interested in to add your itinerary. 4. Family villas - in second bathroom add more hooks to dry towels

Beautiful island. Very good all inclusive package. Lovely snorkeling, saw lots of different fish, sharks, turtles and eagle rays in the lagoons. Nice with a kidsclub to have some change of stuff to do for our kid. Lovely staff. Cool waterslide straight into the ocean. Excellent room. Large and really nice. Cool outside bathroom. Stayed in beach villa. Ate once at just wok and just grill as well, which was really good. Saw lots of nurse sharks on our sunset fishing trip. Fun for kids and grownups alike.

We had 5days - 4nights trip at Oblu. All staffs are very helpful and friendly. Beach is very clean.They had all inclusive plus activities and transportation.. We love them all.Under our villa is the best spot for snorkeling. Assorted fishes and corals.No rains at all. At spa is just relaxing time. Assistants are easy to access. Kids club is for a family with young children. During sunset and after dinner they also have a DJ.In room mini bars and drinking water refill every day. They encourage guests and staffs to concern with the environments.Such a memorable experiences!We will choose Oblu for our next Maldives vacation.

Speed boats for tansportation need maintenances. They had technical problems both departure and arrival. We had to changed boats and it took a little longer time.
