the hotel is perfect

Most of the staff were really good except for one of them who was at the reception on 13/4/2025 in the afternoon and behaved really disgracefully. I asked to rent a room for another 3 nights and he behaved in a way that made me move to another hotel. His behavior was characterized by disdain, with the answer that the room I requested was already taken and if I wanted another room I would have to move the next day. When I asked if I could move to the new room now before I unpacked my suitcases, he answered in the negative, claiming that I had already entered the room. The feeling was difficult and because of that I moved to another hotel.

On arrival stairs look daunting, but if you go into the underground garage there is a lift to reception. Someone was waiting for us at 05:00 am, grateful for that. Loved the room, except for the view of a metal hut. I could have paid for for riverview but that has 3 beds but of a waste. Not complaining just want everyone to be aware of the no view rooms. Breakfast was fresh & lush. Had to decide the night before, eggs/pho/spring rolls, then you get tropical fruit yogurt juice & coffee, all freshly made when you arrive 😋

A hidden gem and one of my best experiences so far in Vietnam. Quang, the receptionist, welcomed me like an old friend and was helpful in the same way. The staff is nice and charming, and the room was very comfy with a fantastic view over the river. Breakfast was top notch in a chilled athmosphere, not that hussle n bussle you usually have at the hotels over here. All in all a great value for the dongs you pay.

You hear a bit of the neighbours upstairs, but that is not a deal-breaker. Compared to other hotels it is acceptable.

Our stay at the Silk River was very pleasant, especially the staff who were highly qualified.. We would like to thank the manager Quang who helped us in so many ways, as much as for the booking of the room as for a last minute change of bedroom at our arrival, but also for booking us bus tickets in advance of our arrival through the phone. He was very kind, accommodating and overall very professional, he made our day ! We surely recommend for people to have a stay at this hotel whilst in Ha Giang.

I came away from the Hi Giang loop early because it was very cold. I was looking for some relaxation and comfort. I had a lovely big room with comfortable chairs overlooking the river . The bed was super comfy in the bathroom huge it was just what I needed!

Breakfast had a very Vietnamese focus but you could get eggs, toast, coffee, and fruit.

The breakfast was amazing and the two ladies in the morning was more than perfect, really they are the right person in the right place 100% please keep it up ladies and I don’t remember their name however I recommend it to everyone, it’s a good hotel

Location, comfortable

Had to move room due to an ant infestation, they were in the bed too, this was the same in multiple other rooms and floors we tried to move to, finally found another room that wasn’t infested

Good and comfortable rooms. We enjoyed our breakfast and had a good stay before starting the Ha Giang Loop.

It was a little smelly when we entered the room. I guess the room was empty for a little while. There was also a light we couldn’t turn off in the night. It was behind the curtain so it was okay.

Stayed here for just the one night after the Ha Giang loop and it had a great big comfy bed and fab bathroom. Perfect place to rest for the night after the loop

A clean, comfortable and well-appointed room with a Juliet balcony overlooking the river and mountains. Breakfast buffet is Vietnamese fare, with plenty of selections and—if you ask—eggs to order.
