Absolutely amazing hotel with wonderful staff. They let us check in significantly early as we reached Thanjavur just after sunrise. I went there with my daughter and in-laws. One young chap working there was really nice, friendly and professional. Unfortunately he wasn't there for our departure, which made us feel really bad as I wanted to thank him and give him a big tip. If you're reading this, thank you for being so nice. The location is excellent. The hotel is very close to the beautiful temple. Breakfast was very good. Really beautiful Heritage hotel. Huge beds and room size. I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful staff, very hospitable. Arvind, Lokesh and Selvan made us feel welcome and provided all support with a smile. We had a very pleasant experience and did not have to remind them for anything. All our requests were met without any hassle and promptly. Breakfast also was excellent and filling!

Toilet seat could be fixed of the same size as the bowl. Otherwise, the facilities were very clean. Also, toiletries could be provided so that we do not need to carry it from home

Very comfortable place to stay with family. Here are the PROs and CONs: PROs: 1. Spacious room 2. Clean 3. Staff available to serve on call 4. Centrally located in Tanjore city 5. Big Temple is walkable (1.5 km) CONs: 1. No closed or covered car parking. Had to park the car on the road. But very less vehicular movement in the area. So, manageable. 2. Only one chair in a room. So, we always have to sit on the bed only.

Right from booking till check out, it was smooth and effortless. The hotel accommodates all of your reasonable requests. Excellent location. All the tourist spots are hardly 10-15 mins drive from the hotel. Simple, yummy, stomach friendly breakfast. There is one Mr.Arvind who is in charge of the services, goes out of his way to provide the best possible service. We took his help to hire a guide and book a cab. Guide - Definitely a thumbs up; Cab - Neutral as I'm not sure of the cost that I paid is high or okay. No regrets though because we had a hassle free travel to Kumbaknoam, Dharasuram and Thiruvaiyaru. Definitely a memorable experience.

Wonderful location tucked in calm bylnes of Tanjaore.. its the best location to put up for exploring Tanjaore. Very near to the Brihadeeswara temple ,palace ,muesums Saraswati Mahal library muesum. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful the rooms are very well appointed and have a heritage theme the bed is super comfortable , property is very clean spic N span! Highly recommended

Not that i can think of the stay was very comfortahle

The property is a house furnished with antique pieces exuding an oldworld charm. The rooms are spacious and clean, the locale calm and convenient and the staff helpful. There is a restaurant two doors away serving manpanai food(millets etc.. traditional food). The complimentary breakfast was tasty and well served. Would definitely stay here again/ recommend to friends.

Warm welcome from very friendly, helpful staff. The room was a little basic but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay and not at all expensive. The hotel is located on a quiet street but is very central. There is an excellent restaurant a few metres away with a very helpful owner who speaks perfect English.

The shower did not actually work.

We had a wonderful stay at the Tanjore Inn. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. There was outdoor seating in the garden which was a bonus. The breakfast was great. The staff were incredibly helpful and obliging. The whole building was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. The location was quiet but near the temple. I would thoroughly recommend the Tanjore Inn.

Location / Neighbourhood is residential , so no shops/restaurants near by area can be dark in the night with less people, so solo travellers might be scared but staff are there to help

The breakfast was a combination of idly, vada, and upma. These were excellent in taste. The staff helped us get around the city by promptly calling an auto for us when we needed it. The restaurant suggestions they gave were also very good. The place by itself is very clean, and well maintained. The plants, trees, and general indoor decor too, are a delight.
