Buffet breakfasts excellent with great variety. Big Pool, comfortable lounge chairs, new towels Free yoga and water aerobics every day. Generous with Free drinking water and coffee in room. Good quality amenities. Choice of feather or synthetic pillows. Spacious bedrooms. Screens on windows and doors. Excellent view from the pool area and rooms. Gorgeous well kept gardens. Beautiful marina. Very good service almost everywhere.

Pool cafe closes too early. Not enough entertainment in hotel. More posting of special events and buffets on certain evenings. Always many little things to fix in the room. Things that maintenance could do before our arrival . Hotel needs some attention.

Applaud the mindful approach to reduce environmental impact, and the friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delectable, showcasing the abundant produce of the region. Off the menu, wonderful selections too; great value. Enjoyed the pool, kayak, snorkel boat tour, yoga and pool aerobics, spa, strolling thru the marina.

Although room was clean and comfortable, the marble tops could use a deeper clean to remove the water glass rings.

Food is amazing! The hotel had a list of activities to do every day like yoga classes, aqua aerobics, ping-pong tournaments, among others. Amenities are great with a SPA, gym, tennis courts, a variety of pools, etc . You can even play croquet. It is indeed a very peaceful, wonderful place, ideal to take a break from the city.

There are many things in the hotel that need maintenance, for example, an outlet was out of place in my room and a door was almost falling. However, when we reported this to the reception, it was immediately fixed. The other thing that will significantly improve the stay is to have actual hot water in the jacuzzi area.

The grounds, including the beautiful palms and landscaping, hardscape walkways, stone walls and stairways, swim up bar covered by huge palapa. The view of the lagoon and marina, not to mention the glorious sunrise on the balcony with our coffee. The rooms are all generous sized suites with nice furnishings including a comfortable king mattress!! Antonio's fine restaurant is understanted elegance, wait staff amazing, the chef is top notch. The lobby staff so accomidating and fluent in English is a nice bonus. We will return!!

Nothing negative

This is the best place to stay at Barra, worth the money. Breakfasts are incredible. The setting, amenities are great. Clean, comfortable beds. We drove there and used the panga to get to town and back. Love the short convenient panga ride.

This was my 4th stay at the hotel, but the first time we did not have a view from our room. They were full and could not switch us until the 2nd day, so we stayed where we were for the 2nd night. Really missed the amazing view. The rooms have no WIFI.

Our tenth floor room with all its amenities, especially a bathtub. The entertainer in the El Faro Lobby Bar. The concierge service. Highly recommend this hotel. Would love to return.

One night when the elevator was not working and we had to wait until it was fixed.

included breakfasts were outstanding and the breakfast deck has a spectacular view. Could have used more shade umbrellas. Pools are great. Hotel was largely empty until the weekend when there were a number of national guests attending a couple of weddings on site which were noisy in the evenings. Prospective guests should know that you need to take an inexpensive water taxi service from Barra de Navidad to get to the hotel. The road access is apparently pretty bad with deep sand in spots.

Last time we got upgraded to a spectacular 9th floor suite, this time stayed on 3rd floor, room was nice but as it was near the pool slide it was a bit noisy during day. I would spring for the upgrade next time.

Everything was perfect. The attention of the staff is excellent I loved breakfasts. The waiters at the place were very friendly. The place is incredible and very comfortable.

They only have to maintain the bathrooms, since the shower has fungus in the gaskets and the water from the shower is thrown away. Some hallways lack maintenance. The boat to go to town should be included

breakfast was amazing! the food was very good, and there was a lot of variety. the pool was great, and yoga on the beach every morning was nice. the gym was a plus as I do like to work out every day. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was absolutely the best food I’ve had in Mexico

Some of the facilities were a little rundown, and in need of upgrading. A lot of the equipment in the gym was broken, and needs attention

Grand Bay is a stunning resort, with gorgeous views, impressive buildings and grounds, and a great pool. The breakfast is fantastic and the waiters in the Grand Bay cafe and La Plazuela cafe are so friendly and very attentive. The reception desk were also very helpful.

The housekeeping and cleanliness in the room were not as good as during previous stays. The room was missing some of the amenities and were not restocked, we had to keep asking to have the room cleaned and ask for water, since you can't drink the tap water. All in all, it was fine, we enjoy this resort very much.
