Zostel Ooty is in beautiful building but a heads up that there is zero insulation between rooms so you can hear every bit of noise. Rather creepy since it feels like others are in the room with you. Room was cute and "rustic" style. Comfortable bed. A plus for the bedside lamp. Staff ok but no one around at night which felt odd. A plus for the seating areas upstairs since there is a view and it felt peaceful. Food at café was decent. Prices are a tad high. I enjoyed ordering via the app. Limited food options nearby and walking back up the hill is a hassle. I ate dinner in town. Near bus station but that’s about it.

Zero insulation in walls so you hear noises from other rooms. No staff at night. Not much is near the hostel and it's up a big hill. Cafe is on the expensive side.

Great old colonial house with lots of character, our room was in the loft and it was a great place to stay. Nice clean bed and bathroom.

Breakfast took quite some time to be made despite ordering through the app as advised. After about 25mins waiting for our coffee we asked where our breakfast was they said one food item we ordered was unavailable, it would have been better if they had told us when we had originally ordered it, instead of just ignoring the order as the kitchen staff were just on their phones in the kitchen. Other staff were friendly and helpful.

Everything was superb not a single complaint. They even checked everytime if we did enjoy it or not. Beds were super cosy, food was affordable and super tasty, bonfire was the cherry on top, the view from the room. ❣️❣️❣️❣️

Everything was perfect but you know somewhat one thing that I found was that we chose for buker beds and there was one person who was not of our group so i recommend that you should add curtains to individual bunker bed as it's not expensive and also helps in maintaining one's privacy. It's not a complaint at all just a suggestion as we have curtain in sleeper buses same can be added to individual bunk beds.

At about 1km away from the city bus stand , the location is great with a hill top view. The staff is kind , friendly and very helpful. You will find contacts for auto or cab drivers from the reception desk. The property is beautiful and well maintained.Female 6 share dorm has an attached bathroom. Trunks are provided in tbw rooms for storage , you can leave the laptops in them or with reception.They have a kitchen on property and the food is great. Bonfire in the evenings is a great vibe and perfect for chilly Ooty evenings!

The property is great option for stay in Ooty!

It is a small size dormitory style hotel located in a lovely serene location about 1 km from the ooty bus stand and Toy train station. The service is six star, and the food was delicious. Lovely North Indian food ... Usually in Ooty the food (both North Indian and South Indian) is pathetic. But Zostel's neat kitchen is the exception to this. The bathroom is exceptionally well maintained with hot water which is a necessity for the Ooty climate. The rooms are pretty clean, despite being popular only with solo travellers. The ambiance is six star. The views from the hotel are pleasing to the eyes. Not to mention the excellent company of the co travellers who came solo or in teams, by bus, bikes and cars. I also made a couple of friends, whom I hope will be friends for life.

It's a good place to stay for visiting Ooty. It's a bit outside the city and mostly quiet. The rooms are spacious with good storage room. The food is good. The walking distance to the bus station is 10min. The staff is friendly and the bonfire in the evening is great to get to know some other people.

I missed some Insider advices from the staff and also some help organising to get around (When I asked for a tuktuk driver it took 30min until he came). Or a bus timetable or so would be helpful. The rest was good.

Food was amazing and so was the service. Location is the best being the city center. It is a one time experience that you should have. Recommended to visit with friends.

They can allow a bigger group to stay, especially in shared spaces. Because the shared washrooms are not comfortable to use with unknown people. Not complaining about the hygiene but it would be better they assign 10 or 6 bunk bed space to one group or atleast only female.

Location was good, staffs were all helpful , rooms were near and clean with comfortable bed and most importantly clean bathroom. Would really revisit in future.

Though space was available still not allowed for small party, solo travelers come mostly for this though i respect hostel decision to not allow but it's allowed in another hostel at same location could be

My time at the zostel was really great! The zostel is so much cleaner than every other Hotel or Hostel i stayed in! The bedsheets where white and clean. No dust or dirt on the floor! Is is not only clean but very cosy! The location is also perfect if you want to be close to the bus stand and nature at the same time. It has a nice view over the town. There is also a restaurant that has many options you can choose from. Really delicious! If you need something or have any problems, then contact the staff! They are really friendly and try to make your stay as memorable as possible!

Some people in the room were quite noisy in the morning. It is still a hostel and no hotel so that I just needed to accept.

Hostel is located inside the city which is close to bus stop and railway station, located in top of a small cliff, amazing view of misty hills from hostel.. It's an old bungalow more than hundred years which is made as a hostel..travellers around the world stay here, from uk Russia and so on.

Only North Indian breakfast is available ,and bread sandwiches were there, but not bread jam. It's better if tea is provided in ceramic cups instead of steel glass.
