Beautiful auberge on the fringe of a delightful village. We arrived after a long drive and were able to relax with a drink by the swimming pool. Our room with a private terrace was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The outside dining area had lovely views across the valley; restaurant service was good and the food delicious, although the choice was limited. Great breakfast. After booking, be sure to look out for an email from the owners a couple of days before arrival which gives directions to the auberge - follow these, not co-ordinates, and access is easy. Comfortable atmosphere and very friendly owners. We would happily stay here again.

Fantastic breakfast very fresh and so much choice . Beautiful evening meals created by a very talented Owner Chef Fab wines. Everywhere spotless. Beautiful spacious rooms. The hotel is situated in a Lovely little village so pretty it not far from Carcassone.. Fabulous views form the Hotel and the terrace where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner.

Fabulous location, really peaceful, wonderful hosts and great food! We needed a breather on our road trip and this was perfect. Easy access to Carcassone, about 15- 20 minute drive. Great to have the use of the pool for a real break from it all. The staff were outstanding, helpful and friendly and the beds really comfortable.

Small things. We had lights outside our room (7) which were not turned off until 12.30pm and the curtains were very thin. If they had been blackout lined that would fix it. Also in our particular room, no obvious place to be able to sit outside leisurely, as the restaurant guests are also eating in that area. The new owners have only been there a couple of months and are doing a great job, just wondered if they reduced their prices they would have more interest daily. Not a criticism, just a thought?

Our entire stay was fantastic. The hosts are very welcoming, including their lovley children. Our room was very comfortable with a great view across the valley, breakfast was ecxellent as were the evinging meals with a good selection of wines. The current owners have only been in residence for about 6 months and they are doing a fantastic job. A great place to relax and unwind but close enough to Carcassonne for a bit of city life.

La Bergerie enjoys a stunning location, and dining on the rooftop terrace, surrounded by rolling hills and sweeping countryside views, is simply magical. The rooms open onto private terraces with scenic views, and the poolside area is especially beautiful. Beach towels are provided. A very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Everything! The owners were lovely and looked after us wonderfully. The location is great in the sleepy little village of Aragon. The swimming pool was so nice to come back to after a long hot day and our room was lovely- large, very clean and comfortable. The food was amazing - all cooked and beautifully served by Julien. It’s close to Carcassone and the local vineyards, but a peaceful retreat at the end of the day

Truly nothing

The hotel's new owners couldn't have been more helpful or friendly: nothing was too much trouble for our large group. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms very clean. Dinner was one of the nicest meals we'd had for a long time and provision was made happily and without fuss for our preferences (eg: having fish instead of meat, food allergies, etc). Breakfast was very well thought out and there was a great choice of cold meats and cheese, smoked salmon, freshly-made fruit salad and pastries & croissants made by the owner. Omelletes were available also - made on request. Great coffee too.

Nothing. It was truly one of those places where everything was right.

Such a beautiful, and peaceful place! We love it! Everyone who works here is beyond lovely, the food fantastic, the accommodation spotless and so comfortable. We hope we have the opportunity to stay again and will recommend it to family and friends!

Absolutely nothing!

Very pleased! The small hotel is newly owned by a young family who have worked in the hotel industry for years. Aragon is a quaint little village. We enjoyed exploring the village and the surrounding area. The meals in their restaurant were all excellent. Our room was lovely and had a great view of the valley. The internet was good. The owners were very welcoming and spoke English.
