We were driving from Calais and would be arriving late around midnight. The stated check in time was up to 10pm but I sent an email and Katrijn replied quickly saying it was no problem to arrive late. When we arrived there was an envelope waiting or us with room key and welcome pack and we easily found our room. This was extremely helpful and accommodating and made what was a stressful journey much better! Thanks Katrijn!

We couldn't quite work the air conditioner, so it was a bit warm in the room, but could have been user error! I'm sure if we were earlier someone would have helped us. Next time,

We stayed here on our trip back to the ferry. It was a great spot to stay outside Bruges before visiting on the way home. The hotel itself is lovely, the location is very pretty and quiet. We stayed for one night and opted to have breakfast too. We're glad we did! The breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices (including a choice of alternative milks). The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the surroundings. We drove to the location in our van and there was plenty of parking. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful. We even got taken to our room and everything was explained. We often stop in Belgium on the way home from trips and will absolutely stay again. It was very good value for money too, especially with the lovely breakfast. Not a dislike, but it's worth a mention as the hotel is doing all it can to be eco-friendly. They might have something in place for this already, but just a point! We noticed a sign in the bathroom talking about the eco-washing products and their use of recycled water which is great! Removing the single-use plastic body wash and shampoos from the room (although a nice touch) would improve this further. Again, this isn't a dislike, I appreciate the costs involved and the work in bringing in these changes, but it would be nice to see. We will be back!

Lovely, small but high quality hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who make every effort to ensure a comfortable stay. The room was a good size, peaceful (all rooms face away from the nearby road) with a garden/countryside view. The selection at breakfast was astonishing for this size of hotel. For us, it was well located near motorway and Brugge and had plenty of parking, but you'd need a car to get there.

Not much. My only suggestion is the coffee machine in the room (nice touch) could do with instructions - took me a couple of attempts to figure it out! Also milk rather than creamer for tea drinkers.

The room was very spacious for a family and very clean. Beds were comfy, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a small selection of meals available for room service, which is perfect if you are tired after a long day sightseeing. The location is lovely. Away from all the hustle and bustle. We found it to be calm and relaxing. Breakfast was exceptional. So much choice, and all beautifully laid out. There is a car charger onsite, which is useful for ev owners like ourselves. We really enjoyed our stay here and have already booked again for next year.

The only minor issue would be that a towel rail would be useful in the bathroom as there is nowhere to hang wet bath towels.

The property was small and personal, with exceptional attention to detail. Staff were incredibly friendly and was attentive to our needs, we felt really welcomed. The European style breakfast complete with meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, pancakes and baked goods was exceptional with the best scrambled eggs we’ve ever tasted. They even catered on request for a gluten free member of our group.

The room we stayed in had a pretty awkwardly placed shower head that wasn’t conducive to a relaxing hot shower, but this wouldn’t stop us visiting again and in fact we already plan to return.

Very large room with a super comfy large bed. Good breakfast choices and replenished often so it remained fresh. Very friendly helpful staff

Would prefer a walk in shower. A couple of garden chairs would be nice to make the most of the extensive garden and the sunshine.

Beautiful location just outside of Bruges, perfect service and food about sums up the experience. The rooms were exceptional, the hotel is surrounded by farms, which is a fascinating sight in the morning. Breakfast was very good, everything you would want. There were a lot of parking spots. Cannot find a single thing that we did not like.

Lovely staff, excellent service, beautiful location, warm and cozy atmosphere, interesting backstory of the property, good lasagne (we ate at the hotel, not the restaurant), Ingeborg went above and beyond, was fun to talk with and gave us some nice suggestions regarding activities for our next stay. My husband and I definitely enjoyed our stay.

The room was a bit cold. After Ingeborg showed us how to turn on and operate the thermostat, I turned it all the way up but it didn’t do much. Everything else was perfect. Definitely worth another stay!

The close proximity to Bruges and Ghent, not to mention Damme and Lissewegge. We love the hotel… its quirky layout, the staff and the excellent breakfasts.. The parking is excellent and having what we regard as the finest restaurant we visit, on-site, makes it a wonderful place to stay.

We encountered a minor problem with the air conditioning, which was ‘resolved’ although we suspect it’s to do with a maintainence schedule.
