This hotel is definitely a high value for your money. We are a couple with a 4 year old boy. They added an extra bed to the main room for our son. You need to reserve one or else they may run out. The breakfast was good enough with different alternatives for everyone. The rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice. The reception was very friendly and helpful. We bought bus tickets from the hotel (no price difference) to travel to city center. It's a 15-20 minute walk or 7-8 min bus ride. All in all we were very pleased with our stay.

The staff gave clear instructions as to the location of of the parking garage so it was good to be able to drive straight up to the on site parking. The location was good for an easy walk into town along the canal and also an easy walk to the train station as we took a day trip to Bruges. The apartment was clean and spacious and breakfast was nicely managed.

We had checked that our vehicle would fit but it was a little unnerving that there was no sign on the down ramp confirming height. There are higher parking spaces available so request one if your vehicle is over 1 meter 90cms

The location is very good, close to the city center and the most important monuments. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel. The room was very large, the bedroom was separated from the living room so I could work without disturbing my roommate. The was a tableware, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle and a set of teas in the room. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was good, although the selection of cheeses, hams and vegetables could be a bit bigger. A plus is the fresh, delicious bread. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.

The water pressure in the bathtub was a bit low. As I already mentioned - the selection of cheeses, hams and vegetables could be bigger.

Apartment hotel, it was great and we'd definitely go back. Rooms were very good with a small self catering hob in them (we never used it). Parking on site, and our 2.05m van fitted. great location, great manager on reception. Wonderful city - superb beers!!! Utterly beautiful city and do not miss the Alterpiece in the Cathedral made more famous by the film Monuments men. We need to come back for longer than one night.

I don't recall the bar being open or breakfast on offer, we walked out for both. Its no bad thing, its a great city. If you struggle walking it might be too far from the city centre but we happily enjoyed the 1/2 mile walk.

The hotel was, quiet, clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The reception staff were particularly helpful with ensuring we were aware of the Gent ULEZ regulations before our stay. They were also very helpful with information about public transport and visiting the city centre during our stay. The self-catering facilities in the room were very good. The secure on-site car park the hotel offer was good and meant we could safely leave our car there during our stay.

Location was okay but a bit further out from the centre of Gent than we had expected.

An excellent hotel in a very quiet neighborhood, just a 15 min walk to the Cathedral in the old town of Ghent. Offers a parking space at the premises (extra charge) Clean, spacious one bedroom apartment, modernly decorated, very cozy, overlooking a yard, with city view. Could accommodate a third person in the couch. Big wardrobe and many closets, very convenient really. Nice bathroom Offers a kitchen (fridge, electric kitchen hob, microwave) well equipped to cook a meal (although we did not). Very good breakfast; good quality nice variety. The hotel has a restaurant as well (we did not try it). Special thanks to the reception staff who helped us with to get permission for our car to enter the low emission zone. We enjoyed our four-night stay, and we definitely recommend it.

Minor problems in organaization of services, that didn't really bothered us.

I spent six days at Castelnou Aparthotel, and it was a great stay! I arrived a couple of hours before check-in, but the very welcoming manager quickly found another room for me. The room looked exactly like the photos! Breakfast was included, with a selection of eggs, ham, cheese, bread, and croissants. They also offer packed breakfasts if you're traveling to other places. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming—they even gave me a guidebook to Ghent! I would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was huge, with a separate living room and bedroom. In addition, there was a pretty good kitchen, missing only the oven. We stayed two nights, and breakfasts each morning were very good. We had one dinner which was excellent (we had the local stew recipe), and there was live music as well. Finally, the staff was extremely courteous and professional.

Location is just so-so. It's about a 15 - 20 minute walk to the center of the historical district. Distance to the train station is probably a couple of miles, so forget about walking there. On a positive note, we got around just fine using Uber, so I have no regrets about staying there.

The aparthotel met my expectations, for a short say alone. I had a double room, so it was more than enough space for just myself. The bed was comfortable. the bathroom clean and with the necessary amenities. Housekeeping was done everyday. I did not use the kitchen appliances, but they looked fine for cooking a small meal or breakfast. The staff was very friendly and provided info in advance regarding parking and the low emission zone. The breakfast was very good and I also dined at the Dali restaurant one evening, which was delicious and also affordable, due to a special dinner menu. Walking to the center of Gand is feasible as well as getting around by bus.

The bathtub design made it not exactly comfortable to just stand and take a shower. There was not much space in the closet, given it was a double room, and strangely the TV system would turn on by itself, when you insert the room keycard into the reader. Nothing too much of a big deal, though. The entrance to the parking is a bit narrow, better be careful. Finally the buffet breakfast is perhaps a bit pricy, but I guess that is the standard almost everywhere.

Great location. 15 min walk into the town centre. Bus stop outside straight to the station. Quiet, didn’t hear anything from neighbours. The little kitchenette was handy so I could do a shop and not have to eat out each night. The apartment was spacious and English channels on tv which is always a plus. Sandra on reception was lovely. Friendly, helpful and always smiling.

Bed and pillow was too soft for my liking like sleeping on a big marshmallow. Also safe was on the bottom shelf of cupboard despite there being 3 shelves above. Could have done with it on a higher shelf instead of having to get down on all fours each time.
