We had an incredible stay at the beach house in Alegria, Cebu. Our family enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The snorkeling was a highlight, with an abundance of colorful fish just a short swim away. The facilities were impeccably clean and well-maintained throughout our stay. Astra and Rosemarie, the caretakers, were exceptionally kind and helpful. We became friends with them, making our stay even more enjoyable. We also loved spending time with the friendly dogs and Princess, Astra's delightful daughter, who kept us company and entertained us during our morning swims. This beach house is a perfect getaway, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation in Alegria.

Great and friendly staff. It is great to have a swimming pool and the rooms are really good.

There were a lot of dogs during the night. It was okay for us but some people can be scared.

Very clean and the fact it is beach front it’s amazing. Staff were very kind. Just really far from everything so be prepared for buy groceries before heading to there to cook your food, because they have a full kitchen to use.

We broke 2 glasses and they changed us that, which I don’t think is nice. When you rent a place you should know these things could happen and charge extra for broken glasses is not right

The best choice of accommodation in the Alegria/ Moalboal area. The rooms were modern and clean and the location is perfect if you are doing Kawasan Falls. Astra was very helpful and arranged a hire scooter for us among other things. We enjoyed spending time in the infinite pool, snorkeling in front of the resort and at times we had the pkace to ourselves. There is a clean kitchen where you can cook your own meals and large fridge to store drinks and food.. I also like the filtered water refilling station.

The pool is great, and probably the main attraction of this accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We made the mistake of not reading reviews before booking and realised late that there wasn’t food available at the property, although there is a kitchen you can cook things in. Getting to and from other food outlets was tricky with a group of six but we still managed to make it work without going hungry.

Rooms were a good size, direct access to the beach and nice pool. Calm place. Near Kawasan falls. Great communication via text messages with hotel. They helped organise our pickups and activities.

I had to look for power sockets (tip you got to look under the side tables 😁). Remote area, plan ahead for food as unless you have transportation it will be difficult to go anywhere. No staff after 5PM except for a guard .

The management and staff were superb. They helped us coordinate transportation to and from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, as well as several excursions around the island. They have new motor scooters for rent on premises for an extremely fair price (600 Philippine Pesos or 11 USD/24-hrs). The room was very cozy with new mattresses and pillows that were extremely comfortable (medium-firm). Air conditioning was quiet and kept the room comfortable. Linens, bedding, and towels were simple, clean, and comfy. WiFi was free, solid, and strong. The kitchen remains open to store food or drinks in the new, full size fridge, and the appliances and cookware is all available to guests. The TV was new with limited satellite stations, which didn't matter since the view from the beautiful and warm pool or the personal deck area outside the room. They had lounge chairs on the rock beach to enjoy the gorgeous sea view and breeze, as well as the fishermen passing by with the island of Negros in the background. Astra, our host, was extremely helpful with tips on places to see, things to do, and restaurants to dine. Without her, our adventure would not have been nearly the success that it was. Needless to say, this will be our family spot during future visits, and we'll proudly recommend Alegria Water Front Beach Resort to our friends and extended family members.

Leaving

The rooms were spotless and stylish, and the overall aesthetic of this hotel is great. The pool is clean, the location feels private and serene, and they have lounge chairs for sunbathing right on the private beach. Also the connection to Cebu is great as a cheap and comfy bus stops right on the main road (100 m away from the hotel).

You can't get anywhere (not even a restaurant) without a scooter but it's also problematic to rent them as only one was available. They also don't offer breakfast. A bonus is they have a shared kitchen but it wasn't clean.

Due to exclusivity, the resort offer peaceful atmosphere whether you are with family, friends or a couple. Had it’s own kitchen where one can cook. free use of utensils and gas range with gas. They have comfortable beds. Very great dipping pool. Ate and her daughter were very accommodating.

The beach was so rocky, we were not able to take a dip by the beach. The kitchen was a bit untidy. Fridge (chest freezer) not working properly. The place is a bit far from the center. No convenience store or sari sari store outside.

The peaceful location and nice scenery. The owner very very responsive to questions and helpful in arranging excursions.

It can be hard to get a ride anywhere and there are no restaurants in walking distance. If they put a small restaurant or cafe on-site, it could really help business.
