Great breakfast, great ambience, great staff

We booked and paid for a room for 3 people but there were only 2 chairs, 2 glasses, 2 coffee mugs in the room. Sounds like a gripe but for this price, we shouldn't have to ask for basics like this.

The design of the entire hotel, Alpine Cosy interior design marred with an amazing location in the midst of a beautiful landscape. The staff is very friendly and professional. The breakfast offers many options, all of high quality. The hotel includes play area for kids. Free shuttle service to take you to and pick you up from your destination within Villars.

Very minor door & ventilation noises that might wake up others in the room at night.

There is a stunning view of the mountains from the balcony of this amazing place. During our time there, we stayed in the suite, which was very luxurious and had a nice amount of space. Great attention to detail and a lot of wood surrounds you, feeling like in an authentic mountain chalet. There is always someone on hand to assist you whenever you need it. I would like to give a special mention to all of the drivers who accommodated all of our requests, and all of the staff who were very kind and approachable in general. Dinner was served in the main dining room, and it was superb. Good vibes only. Strongly recommended.

Gorgeous communal areas - beautifully decorated for Christmas - great facilities for children/teens Amazingly helpful staff - Fabian the receptionist who helped us with bags as we were short of time and the concierge were busy, and the concierge staff who run the navette shuttle service out to other restaurants in the village Booked a double room and got upgraded to a fabulous suite. Will definitely return

The bed was too hard - back ache in the morning

We absolutely loved this classic chalet that had the exact charm and comfort we were looking for to enjoy our Christmas break. The views from our room were magnificent, and wherever you are in the hotel (bar, restaurant, spa) you are reminded of the nature that surrounds you. Our room was very spacious with plenty of storage and equipped with everything we could possibly need.

Great ambience throughout hotel; well fitted out, spacious room; staff all very professional, polite and smart; great service!

Dinner in restaurant on Friday evening was disappointing; v. slow, at least 90 mins before main course arrived, when it did arrive Halibut dish was over-cooked but not hot enough. We had a much better dinner the first night.

Overall it was an exceptional experience! Every staff member was immensely helpful and polite, the services and food was impeccable! Would highly recommend!

Location is a bit far from some tourist sites, taxis are expensive. If the hotel could provide a cheaper shuttle service to key tourist attractions that could make it better

Amazing hotel, very cosy and personal was really nice. SPA is fantastic ! You can access the slopes directly by taking the little train next to the hotel. Prefect place to mix a ski trip and relaxing moment at the SPA. I will come back!

We took our nephew and his bride here on their honeymoon, and they were astonished by the luxury. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, upgrading the newlyweds to a huge room with a spectacular view. The service across-the-board was excellent. My husband and I ourselves were in an executive double room, which was also huge, with loads of closet space, a large bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower, excellent amenities, mini-bar, coffee-maker, and a fabulous bed. (We had a "park view" but we could see the mountains too -- it was lovely). The spa and pool were terrific: comfortable, immaculate, and spacious. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied. We were hot, tired, and grumpy when we arrived at the RoyAlp, but the staff was superb and took excellent care of us.

This is simply a note to travelers: Be careful navigating! For some reason, when we put the hotel address into Google maps and our GPS, the GPS kept directing across across the valley to a town called Leysin. To get the the RoyAlp, use the town of Villers-sur-Orlon as your destination instead.
