Honestly I don't understand some of the reviews the hotel has gotten. It's glory days was clearly 2008 when it hosted the miss world beauty pageant but it's still got a lot of that glory left at a fraction of the price of it's competitors. The best way to describe it is peaceful and large. The resort is massive which probably gives it that empty feel some reviewers commented on. But the scale is truly breathtaking and that allows you to wander around the resort with a sense of peace and quiet. Surrounded by an amazing view of the bay on one side, and the greenery of the hills on the other. It also has the largest pool I've seen in a hotel/resort, its own private beach and bay, and well spaced bungalows. The bungalows are big, with plenty of space. Well maintained and clean, with great views. The shower had great pressure and the bath was so big it looked more like a sauna than a bath. Staff were really friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat from the world or great value for your money I'd highly recommend here.

Nice quiet place. No hotel skyscrapers visible from the resort. The beach is big and clean. Pool is fine. Breakfast is not ***** but big choice and some food is live prepared. The Airco in bungalow is fine. Very large bathroom. Biggest I've ever seen. 1 free welcome beer, free chocolate, chipbag and fruit. Some bungalows are being painted and 1 coastline wall is renewed. So it's only getting better. Free shuttle bus at 10:00.

Book the bungalows not the hotel rooms. They are spacious but airco is bad. 10 min by grab car. It's fine to me.

Very beautiful property and location. Love the spa and hospitality. Highly recommend that guests should try . Free transport to the city is very nice

English language of the Cafetaria can be improved

We chose Diamond Bay Resort specifically to avoid the noise of the city, but unfortunately, we didn't completely succeed. It seems that team-building events are held quite often, which means waking up to microphone tests and house music at 6 AM. It's not exactly pleasant for those on vacation looking to relax. The resort is relatively secluded with a small beach, though it is dirty and full of silt, where you can kayak. There are also complimentary bikes available to explore the resort. The rooms are spacious, with large bathrooms that include both a bathtub and a shower. The beds are big and comfortable. The food at the only restaurant in the resort is not good, and we've eaten all over Vietnam for a month. However, breakfast offers many options and is delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our stay overall. I would rate it more as a 4-star experience rather than 5 stars. They let us stay until 14h00as our plane was at 21h00. I recommend it.

The small bay, the water was dirty, and we couldn't use it. Bikes were old.

The whole place is well designed with lots of choices although there were only two restaurants open and a very limited menu. I suspect this is the result of the COVID and will soon be resolved. The pool area was marvelous.

Sadly, there is a distinct lack of General Management with staff doing what they think best. It was also very obvious the staff would benefit from on-job training as well weekly team briefings. Having spent over USD2,000 for one week at the resort, the reception lady chased after our airport taxi to claim for two unpaid bottles of water and a missing laundry bag! As it happened the latter wasn’t missing but just not returned by housekeeping after the one and only time, we used laundry. That said it was quicker just to pay her without an argument instead of hanging around for a full-scale enquiry.

Wr stayed for 2 nights in a beautiful bungalow by the pool. The resort is in a wonderful park, full of different trees and plants, where the gardeners make a great job. Surrounded by green hills a few kilometers away from the noisy city. The resort has its private sandy beach (only problem is the mud at the bottom of the bay, would prefer sand or pebbles...). All the personnel is very friendly and helpful, special thanks to HaHa who arranged our bus to the next stay.

The food is not really the best for the price at the restaurant of the resort, there is much better in town.

Really nice resort. Got upgraded to a bungalow which made the experience just that much nicer. Buffet breakfast was nice and I appreciated that they had a free shuttle bus into town.

Was very quiet, so a lot of the restaurants and bars were not open, which was a little disappointing, but I understand they can’t open when the business isn’t there for them. Location isn’t the most convenient, but shuttle bus definitely helped. However, wish they were at more convenient times.

The 5 star standard is more according to Asian standards, but the resort is very big, green and relaxing. Biggest compliment goes to the staff, which is always extremely helpful and ready to assist in everything. The quality of the restaurant, and of breakfast as well, is good. The pool is very big, and quiet. The private beach is also good, and never crowded.

It was very quite and not a lot of quests so a full buffets was not available, but we had wide range breakfast choices cooked to order, very fresh and service from the staff was very quick and very helpful

Booked a room on a whim for a quiet night out of the city. Miss Ha and the others at reception made me feel welcome. The room was large, the bed incredibly comfortable, and above all else, quiet. I didn't realize how many other guests were staying there until the next morning at breakfast. Other than the massive communal swimming pool, there is a lovely beach which I had mostly to myself. Bliss.
