Stayed at Majula for 7 days a lone traveller looking for peace and tranquility, and that's exactly what I got. A small, pleasant and friendly hotel, staff always smiling, polite and very helpful without being intrusive. A lovely pool and terrace area. Small friendly local run cafe's , bars and restaurants all no more than 20 minutes walk. Bakau and Cape point are less than a £4 taxi ride. Same for Fajara craft market and busy  beach areass if too hot to walk. If you want loud music, activities, water sports, karaoke and half price shots, this is not for you, if you want to enjoy the sunshine and local people then go home fully recharged and rested,  I highly recommend the Majula Boutique hotel.

Majula was a perfect place to relax after spending some time farther into Gambia. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was enjoyable and we appreciated the egg station and getting to try Chura Gherte (delicious and highly recommend). The menu for other meals was varied and reasonably priced. The pool was chilly but refreshing. The staff were happy to move umbrellas around and relocate chairs and shade as needed. My friends and I also enjoyed walking along the beach undisturbed when the tide allowed.

Wifi in the rooms not in the main/reception building could be improved. At each meal there were some items we wanted to order that were unavailable.

Room was spacious, ocean views were beautiful, wifi worked very well. Airport transfers worked well.

Restaurant needs improvement, Breakfast was just ok, scrambled eggs were watery that it was easier to eat with spoon! I ordered a chickpeas vegetarian burger and got a chicken burger instead, when I pointed out that I see meet they changed it. Bread on the burger was not fresh.

Staff helpful and friendly. Beautiful view of the sea. Peaceful the chef is quite good.

You couldn’t sit outside for breakfast in the morning because they were always cleaning and washing that area, which is a pity because it would’ve been nice,

Amazing view, very accommodating and helpful staff, there were a number of breakfast options and it was a treat sitting on the terrace watching the ocean

Beautiful ambiance. The fact that every suite is ocean view made this place more special. The staff was professional, welcoming and just overall amazing. Our host Abdulai was amazing, very pleasant and accommodating. Everyone greeted us with a smile everywhere we approach staff in the property

This is our second time staying at Majula for 1 night and had a late check out. Loved the environment we were fortunate it was off season so it was quieter and just beautiful

Missed the variety of juices for breakfast but we understand it was off season so fair

Great location, lovely view. I was able to invite 3 friends over for drinks and to sit in the lounge area by the TV. Open swimming pool all very clean .
