It's close to my parents' house where we spend Christmas. This time we stayed in the largest room which happens to be right above the bar and restaurant. Since it's closed over Christmas, it was super quite. No foot traffic to bother us in the middle of the night. The breakfast was also good with local foods such as comté and Morteau sausage 😉

Weird thing because usually it's the opposite... but it was hard to get cold water at the sink... so when you want a drink or rinse your teeth you had to wait forever to get cold-ish water. Not great when it comes to energy and water conservation... Also for me the mattress was way too soft. My husband loves it though...

Right in the centre of the small town. Ample free parking, undercover for motorcycles. Very biker friendly. Staff friendly.

Breakfast poor, wasn’t kept replenished properly. Asked for bread and given a full stick, no sharp knife to cut it !

A good value well run hotel with good size and well appointed bedrooms. There is car parking and Morteau is a good base for exploring the Doubs valley. All staff very efficient and pleasant. Snacks and cheese/charcuterie boards available in bar area.

Staff was great as well as the location. It is convenient to have a bar at the location and even though breakfast was not included we found it worth the extra charge as there is plenty of variety including a fresh orange juice machine!
