It is a brand new hotel in a great location with easy walking access to restaurants, public transportation, and attractions. I really loved that it was in a happening area, but on a quiet street. The amenities were great and so was the technology in the room. There was a tablet that controlled most everything in the room. My room included a washer/dryer unit that I wished the one at my house was as quiet. The hotel offered spa services and I had a great massage in my room. The staff were simply incredible. They were professional, personable, efficient and effective. I would absolutely recommend a stay here.

My only recommendation is to change up the breakfast buffet offerings.

Room size, bed quality, amazing shower, air con, amenities, restaurant, great bar ambience, ambience, lighting, hotel entrance, garden theme, very attentive and customer focused staff

small point - restaurant provides meditteranean style breakfast and plays latin music....i think hotel should focus on local japanese food and local ambient music as that is why people come to Japan - get the authentic food and atmosphere

Great location and loved the onsen. Restaurant was also good and staff were very accommodating.

No view but it didn’t matter as everything else was perfect.

This hotel was amazing. We had such an enjoyable time. The rooms are big for Japan. Modern, clean, and the amenities were generous and more than you’d get at other hotels. The staff were friendly, helpful and always there. Small things that we hadn’t thought of but the hotel had Modern and efficient washer and dryers. These were super helpful and quick. The Hotel Public baths were a lovely surprise, for hotel guests only. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delicious. The location was perfect. Honestly there was not much we could fault. Perhaps the breakfast; it was good but not great. A small selection which didn’t change in the 5 days we were there so it got a bit boring. Luckily the markets were about a 5min walk from the hotel. We will be back!! Photos are all within 5 minutes of the hotel

I liked everything! We booked a deluxe suite that was on the ground level, which although was beautiful, the windows were frosted (so no view). I asked to be moved to a room with proper windows because our previous hotel in Tokyo had the same issue, which was not great. The staff quickly showed me two different room options (both with lots of sunlight). I was able to pick whichever room I wanted and we moved within minutes. It was seamless and they were so accommodating. The rooms were so clean and beautiful. The hotel smelled incredible and the onsen was so gorgeous. The location was also super. I can’t recommend this hotel enough.

The breakfast could’ve had more Japanese style options in my opinion but otherwise it was great.

This hotel is a delight. Alone, I stayed 6 nights. The entrance is attractive and welcoming. The lobby comfortable with seating area that gets a lot of sun even on a bitter cold day. The room was clean and well appointed with a comfortable bed. The staff was courteous and kind. Breakfast was good and healthy. But the hotels location is a shock. Close by are the best knick-nackery shopping boutiques and up market department stores in Japan. A celebrated food market is two blocks away. Walk in almost any direction and you run into a famous temple, a street of craft shops, a nexus of transport that can take you to any place in Kyoto. I’m talking perfect. Location. I doubt that i could stay anywhere else now. In a city spoiled by the unlimited choice of superb hotels i shall go no further on my return trips.

Location is great. Centrally located. Property opened approx 6 months ago. It’s clean and beautifully kept. Onsen is very nice. Traveled with family for two weeks and upgraded our room to have a washing machine in it. Fantastic! Wash and dry in one machine. Speaking of… they give you pajamas, slippers and slides to wear in hotel, to onsen etc If you have members of your family who are 6ft+ tall, chances are they won’t fit. All amenities are available in addition to what is in your room. Products are very nice. Water, coffee and tea were always in the room. Daily Housekeeping as well.

Rooms were a little hot. Breakfast was not included with our room. We did enjoy the breakfast twice during our stay but it did get very crowded. Staff just had a harder time keeping up with it. I also recommend adding moisturizer/lotion into the rooms. It’s very dry and it’s important to keep hydrating your skin.

1) The attentiveness, kindness and care of all staff was the best we ever experienced! 2) Both the public and private spa were beautiful! 3) The free coffee in the lobby was greatly appreciated! 4) elevators super fast 5)location amazing 5) The restaurant is beautiful and food exceptional and fairly priced! I loved the cheese and the workshop space, but WISH they offered actual classes! I would love to learn how to make mozzarella!

Since we do not eat big breakfast we did not like that the hotel only offered a buffet (fixed price) offering. Ala carte is much preferred for Americans.

This hotel is in an excellent location for getting a good start each day for prime sight seeing across Kyoto, but is in a very cool and chill upscale neighbourhood for strolling at all hours of the day. There are great coffee shops, bakeries, and excellent shopping. There are loads of chic restaurants to look up and book ahead of time, and some more relaxed options to stumble upon if you’re going with the flow each day. We enjoyed coffee at the Blue Bottle cafe, sandwiches and baked goods at the Flip Up bakery, and shopping the North Face purple label goods at stores in the immediate hood, and nearby market area.

It’s a Japanese hotel which means you’re going to get some nice touches like the public onsen, skincare and toiletries to take with you to the room, and slippers/pjs. But, the service is just different from western levels. Japan like everywhere seems to be struggling with staffing and I would say the team here is very junior and not very knowledgeable about the neighbourhood. They were unable to make recommendations for dinners, but did offer to navigate the booking pages if required.

The public bath and the self laundry service is the two points I love the most. The employees are nice and always be ready to help you. The first floor lobby area is wide and cozy. The room size is perfect with great bedding. The location is great too, not far from the metro and walk distance to all the great restaurants in the area.

1 There is no view at all from our room on 5th floor. It is about 2 meter away from another building's windows. 2 The breakfast choices are very limited as a buffet. I ordered a cup of latte, in a buffet, and without any reminder in advance, they charged me another 700 yen on it which surprised me. 3 The gym is a little bit too small without a window. So if you encounter someone else using it, there is literally no space for you to stretch.
