We have now stayed twice at the Fleur de Lys. We like it because it accepts dogs and is a good stopping off place between our home in the Netherlands and the Le Shuttle service in Calais. Our bedroom this time was big, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom shower excellent. Breakfast is served at your table. Eggs are cooked to order. There is no restaurant but Ten Voute in Loppem is excellent and only a 5 minute drive away. It's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays though.

Beautiful property with great surroundings, close to Bruges and Ghent, has ample free parking and a nice and clean swimming pool at the back, the host ( Marco) is a gentleman who treated us with respect and full of humour, he and his wife made nice and healthy breakfast for us during our stay, our room was decent size and very comfortable so we had wonderful stay and slept tight. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and will stay here again if come back to Belgium in the future.

Very nice chateau, clean and beautiful. The room was the perfect size, bed was comfy and the bathroom was quite adequate. Walkable grounds around the property. Easy to find right off the main road and surprisingly quite due to the road being close. I had breakfast here, beautiful dining room with the traditional European breakfast with way more food than I could eat with several choices. Staff was quite attentive during dining and a beautiful view out the expansive window of the garden area. Elegant to a point.

Parking was a bit tight and odd but it worked. Stairs are quite long but they're plenty wide enough. Elders may take note.

The hotel is something very special and it’s truly amazing what the two hosts did out of it. They are doing everything on their own and you can sense the passion they’re putting into it. The best was definitely the breakfast - the best I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. And also this was made and served by the hosts themeselves. Last but not least they’re super dog friendly, you we’re allowed to bring your dog everywhere which made everything so easy for the owners.

Property is beautiful, rooms big with comfortable super big beds, breakfast is one of the best ever offered in a hotel and hosts go above and beyond to help you. Extra points for being super dog friendly- our Luna loved her stay!! Garden and pool just add marks to the property! Will return for sure!

There is nothing not to like

Very beautiful and stylish place on quiet and peaceful location. Clean and welcoming. Easy to find. We arrived late and were warmly greeted by the friendly staff. Received two connected rooms as we travelled with our two kids. Enjoyed a tasty breakfast which included everything you could possibly want. Highly recommended.

We were only sorry we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the lovely swimming pool.

Our host could not have been more helpful, even getting us to the bus stop to avoid having to wait an extra hour. The information he provided meant that we were able to have the absolute best day in Brugge and we were able to see the Winter glow which is amazing and we would not have found otherwise. An excellent choice was available for breakfast along with a good cup of English tea and also great coffee. There are nice touches such as an inexpensive mini bar and English TV channels.

The room was large, which was really good and the bed was comfortable. The owners were very nice and friendly. The breakfast was huge and delicious.

The only issue we had was with the shower, which was a little difficult to manage without leaving a huge amount of water on the bathroom floor !

The location is good, around 10 km away from Brugge. For those seeking a calm place to relax after a day of sightseeing it is a perfect place for the price. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and hospitable. Dogs friendly!

The smell in the room was a bit disturbing, not very fresh. We had to open the window in the roof (attic room) to let some fresh air in, which helped a bit. No bar and no restaurant was a bit of a disappointment: good to keep in mind while booking that it is more of a B&B place. The garden looked pretty nice on the pictures, however, it looked a bit unprepared for the visits: the terrace was not open and the facilities were not really in use.

Price for the night I find it expensive. Only because I think rooms were a bit outdated, lack of natural light, the fridge wasnt cold enough to keep drinks in there, there was no lift.. seems not many guests have been staying there for so long. One of the rooms where my brother was staying it was full of mosquitoes. Him and his partner werent able to rest that night. Looks nice on the pictures but when you go there is actually a bit dissapointing.
