Breakfast was a very good selection of very nice local food, and the lounge where it was served was extremely comfortable. The location just in front of the station is super convenient, and there is a good amount of onsite parking, though it is paid separately. The rooms and general interior were clean and well-appointed, and the separate children's slippers, face towel, and toothbrush were a nice touch we were not expecting. My wife also loved the on-site onsen.

The wallpaper in our room was a bit old and peeling in a couple of places, though nothing inside the room itself was dirty or out of place.

Very close to Mito station and downtown sights, nice bath in the basement, attractive downstairs café, view of reconstructed corner turret of Mito castle, friendly staff (they let us leave our car in the hotel's parking lot for a couple of hours after checkout).

Extremely small refrigerator without freezer compartment. Voices from smoking room (next to our's) could be heard. Also some cigarette smell. Had to keep curtains closed because of workers on scaffolding right in front of room. Use of parking payment machines somewhat tricky, because there are two of them (one of them tucked away on the far side) and the by no means huge parking lot is divided into three different areas and two payment sections.

I am a fan to old style building with descent interior and I fell in love with this hotel at first sight. It is located nearby the station and it is very eye catching for its "old money" appearance. As soon as I enter the hotel, I am immediately falling in love with its ambience and interior, so elegant with brown, bronze and beige colors. The rooms are bigger than most in Japan and the bed are spacious and they have neflix on their tvs. More over, they provide wonderfull breakfast that you just don't want to miss. The only regret i have was not to stay longer in Mito to enjoy the onsen inside the hotel's spa and sip some.coffee in the hotel's cafe.

The coint laundry. It would be great if they upgrade to a newest type. But it is not a big deal as almost all coin laundry in Japan are already high graded.

I am in love with their communal public bath! It is open 3pm to 10am meaning if you wake up very early in the morning like myself you can just go down and take a nice soak rather then just lounge in the room (which is also fun but it's great to have the option). As a female, the public bath for women come with a code lock only women are provided which gives a sense of security as well which I appreciate. The hotel is literally just one staircase and a minute walk to Mito station, and is a street or two away from Mito castle ruins too, so it's really a very ideal location. The room is lovely, maybe even a bit larger then what you expect for Japanese hotel rooms and the concierge was very kind!

Excellent location, overpass from Mito Station leads direct to Hotel, down stairs & to the front door. Reception staff very helpful & friendly, left luggage ok. Key for room & staff check in was great. Breakfast was really fresh & plentiful & staff lovely, not rushed. Our room was Huge, couch, table chairs & big bathroom & bath.Didn't use Onsen.

Nothing not to like. We had a great 2 nite stay. Would stay again.

Very good location, even though in front of Mito station they have parking lots next to the hotel. The rooms are renovated except bathroom. Decent atmosphere.

Basically facilities in the room are old style. Breakfast is reasonable price but minimum choices are available, not fancy.

Bkf is good. Location is very good. But no one informed me about how to reach the hotel by elevator.I had a big luggage and was so uncomfortable to carry it from the skywalk down the stairs in front of the hotel.

I asked for one more pillow but they sent 3-4 towels to put under my pillow.The pillow was so flat so I feel very uncomfortable to sleep.

It had been completely renovated, but in a way that made it feel luxurious and classic, not cheap and plastic. The staff was also helpful in letting me check in a little early. Super clean, and I liked that the sink in my room was out of the bathroom and there was only a shower, no bath.

Wasn't much that bothered me ... the door lock was a bit tricky and the doors really slammed shut. Also it was hard to keep the cooler at a comfortable level and I was on the hot side of the building.

Location is excellent, very near the station. Room was large and had a nice view of the area around the station. Staff was friendly and spoke English.

Because of the proximity to the station it was a bit noisy sometimes. The bed was a bit hard for my taste, but I still managed to sleep well.

The room was very pretty and I loved the sento. First time going to one with music!

I regretted the sento to close at 10pm. A bit too early when you’re travelling, 11pm or midnight would be better.
