The reason I stayed was it was all inclusive. I figured out it was better than staying at a hotel for what you would get. They had a wonderful dinner that evening - three course meal and breakfast was out standing with homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh cut fruit and other yummy items. You could also get a homemade fresh breakfast with eggs, etc. The room was so nice and clean and the area was so quiet and beautiful views. Staff was so nice and helpful. You could swim laps in the pool and did you say pickleball - wonderful courts.

I loved the friendliness of the staff and the ease of access to all the amenities. I loved the touches everywhere with thought … water stations outside, hiking sticks, towels by the pool, blankets near fireplaces, complimentary drinks in the fridge, a very comfortable bed, beautiful pickleball facility, places to relax and swing a nice deck with sun and shade

I would have preferred to know in advance about the dining gratuities, as it was advertised as all-inclusive.

Continental breakfast and dinner being included was great. The free waters and cookies and drinks in the day and the hot tub were excellent. Spa experience was excellent and all the staff were helpful.

For the pecan cottage, the bed could use updating and the door lock is quite stiff and could use fixing. Dinner food was excellent 1 night and the next night was only okay.

One of the best place I’ve ever stayed at. Magical location and view, lots of cosy lounging areas, massive pool, lovely room and food and the best staff. We spoke with Brad, the manager, about the history and wildlife, very nice and professional team. Thank you Brad! The photos don’t do it justice!! We’ll definitely go back if in Texas!

The quiet restful atmosphere.

The heat in the room did not funvction properly. The bed squeaked. I requested garlic-free food in advance. I had to remind them every night at dinner, and my dinner was still prepated with the rest of the guests (with garlic). I even checked with the front desk to be sure my request had been annotated. It was.

nice rooms, spacious bathroom with jacuzzi, beautiful views, swimming pool, trails, outdoor fireplace. Above all the staff was very attentive and caring and accommodated all our requests (a shoutout for Savannah)

This place is amazing in every aspect. The views, the staff, the food and the amenities were all outstanding. We had a relaxing time spending our honeymoon here. Highly recommend the Hays room! 10/10

The property was magnificent. It sits high on a hill overlooking a creek and there are lots of trails and gardens to explore. There are deer and so many different birds - the wildlife was fun to watch. Meals were included (breakfast and dinner) and that is nice when you don't want the hassle of getting out for dinner. It is the most relaxing spot.

Loved pretty much everything - a thought is possibly eliminate the corking fee for bringing in your own wine to dinner. It doesn't really make sense because we simply enjoyed our wine before and after dinner on the patio, grounds, room, etc. I know that restaurant wants to sell wine, but if someone wants to have a glass, they would just have it at times other than dinner vs. paying the fee. I believe eliminating this fee would probably be more of a positive than negative for the property.

Beautiful setting and lovely staff.

The food. It really was OK at best and sometimes even not good. It would be better to give up on dinner and focus on a nicer breakfast - or just charge a bit less.
