Amazing stay in a unbelievable and unique location. It is hard for this American to believe that people are allowed to spend the night in a castle that is over 400 years old! Parts of the ruins here date back to the 1300s! The owner has done a beautiful job with the renovation. Rooms are comfortable with all of the modern amenities! After hours you are allowed to roam the grounds and enter many of the rooms and climb the tower. Words cannot express how much we enjoyed the stay.

Not a single thing not to like. A/c not available but the night was cool, so all good with the windows open. No refrigerator.

Beautifully restored manor house adjoining a castle. We had a suite which was very spacious, three rooms with bathroom. There was a small kitchen setup with a sink and kettle in the first room, a lounge room and a huge bedroom with desk. The bed was very comfy. The place is beautifully decorated with period pieces and antiques. Wifi was very good, surprisingly considering the thick walls. We really enjoyed our stay.

There was no shower in the bathroom, you had to stand up in the claw bathtub with a hand shower. Not everyone’s cup of tea but probably in the spirit of the period. Better to settle for a bath.

The historical environment. The decor, furniture and artefacts all in keeping with its history . A very unique place to stay. The bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. A short drive from our hotel to the lakes and spectacular scenery.

Perhaps a greater selection of cooked items for breakfast.

We had a great time at the castle, it was a magical stay, a taste of the past. The complex it self was interesting and the reception advised us to go and explore the place, and we did, enjoyed it. The was big, very clean, very comfortable bed, the shower was nice supplied with shower gel shampoo bathrobes etc. Good and tasty breakfast.

It felt like the hotel was understaffed, in the wellness we had to operate the sauna and jacuzzi ourselves, the bar had a small variety of drinks (just two wines red and white and one kind of beer a bit overpriced). At breakfast we came 30 min after opening and a lot of things were empty, we had to ask specifically to make more for us. We didn't get silverware, had to get it my self. Overall had an interesting experience, and pleasant time.

The room was in the old section of the building, was large and had old world charm.

We did lose power which took us some time to find someone to help as there was not a 24 hour reception or security

I booked a suite. Loved the size of the room/bathroom, cleanliness, and that it included robe and slippers. Service was excellent. And the price is great for the size of the room, full access to the wellness area, and the ability to explore the castle on your own. The breakfast was good as well. The bed was very comfortable. The view from our room was amazing. I would definitely stay again and wholeheartedly recommend.

Our room had modern, slightly cheap looking furnishings. No one who chooses to stay at a castle wants the room to be this modern. I suggest requesting a historic room when you book. I was told it was the last room, so was pretty disappointed. The breakfast would really benefit from the addition of a toaster.

Very beautiful castle, stylish room space, interesting design in a medieval style, exciting to live for some time in place like this. Besides we had an option to use a restaurant, wellness center and get around the castle for free.

When you are with kids, there is not enough privacy. Besides it was difficult for me to use the sitting (hip) bath without spreading the water all over. Would prefer more vegetarian options in the restaurant menu, but it's already restaurant's review.

We love it! One of the most special night i had. Staying in a castle is just special! The room is very clean and comfortable, and we love the bathtub. Best thing is you are able to walk around and explore the castle by yourself without any charges. Restaurant provides good food too! The young lady at the front desk is very helpful and friendly! (Sorry we didn't manage to get her name)

Everything is perfect and is highly recommended to all travellers!

It is really an amazing experience to spend fee nights in the real castle… although staff refusef to tell us scary stories before bedtime.

Well standard check in time till 18:00 in 4* hotel is domething we really did not expect

I love this hotel a lot, it's a second time I stayed here, this time I brought my lovely friend from UK, she equally liked the hotel! We also brought my dog Dashka, she played with the dog of the owner:-) I wanna express my big respect and give A big praise to the owner - she did fantastic job with the renovation and also the furnishing, she did it with taste and very stylishly, am also active in the hospitality industry, so I know it's no easy an easy task;)

There is nothing to be critical of this place and I am usually having higher expectation and paying attentions to details;)
