This is a wonderful classic hotel. The building is a magnificent example of architecture from the end of the century before WWI. The inside is cozy and charming. The lobby and breakfast room are outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable: strong wifi, great A/C and the breakfast is incredible, many choices or meats and breads, vegetables, juices. Good coffee. The staff is flexible, kind and very helpful. The location is the best of any hotel in the city. Plenty of parking. I recommend this hotel and the town for a nice get away, to go to the theater or the city's awesome museums. Good place for children too.

Breakfast was nice, and the attendant prompt with stocking.

I did not realize that we had to pay for parking, as it alluded to the fact it was included. Upon arrival we found out it was additional money and parking was hard to negotiate. In addition, we did not stay in the main building, which was a big disappointment. I wanted to stay in a historical hotel and had I known this was not the case, would have stayed elsewhere. The building we did stay in had no attendant and the door, was supposed to be locked and often was not; there was also mold in the shower.

Room was clean and well equipped. Bathroom also fitted to my expectation. The breakfast was excellent with rich selections of meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruits, etc. The location is perfect, the hotel is in the center, all around restaurants and shops. Tram station is very close. The surrounding is quiet as no traffic allowed.

The aircondition is a hotel style, centralised and as is it doesn't work properly. I mean the room wasn't cold enough especially in those very hot days.

Perfectly located in the city center. Spacious room, free towels and toilettries, AC, elevator, nice and english-speaking staff. The room was equipped with a fridge filled with free soda. The breakfast was tasty, served early. No prepayment needed - the whole sum can be paid at the reception desk, both in Forints and Euro

The A/C is loud and low efficient. Moldy bathroom

First of all: the experience of staying in a hotel that has done its best, to preserve some of the character of a hotel from the old days, and yet has the conveniences that are basically needed today. The use of dark wood, the shape and size of the rooms, it all would be different in hotels built today. Second: the location. Very convenient, just one tram stop out of the centre of Miskolc. Third: the friendliness of the staff. We were there out of the season, so we only met a few staff members but they were all super friendly and did everything to make it convenient for us. Fourth: the breakfast. A blessing that it is not a buffet breakfast. It gets served at the table: bread and buns, cold cut and cheese, sausage, jam, there is yoghurt at a separate table and fresh fruit, orange juice, hot water for tea is at the bar, coffee and eggs will be made as per your preference. Fifth: the water pressure of the shower. Always great to be able to have a powerful hot shower.

We liked everything, just understand that for the price you cannot expect a very large room. Because of the age and history of the building, the ceiling was quite high though, and therefore it does not feel like a cramped room. For us, the bed matresses were a bit soft and thin, but we admit that this is also a personal preference. One other suggestion: the wide stairs are carpeted with those metal rods to keep the carpet on place. We saw one or two of these rods laying loose on one side. Maybe you might think of some solution that they cannot get loose so easily. However, the carpet stayed in place, so it was not dangerous or anything.

The location is good, friendly staff and they have underground parking. It was free for my motorcycle. Good breakfast!

The elevator doors were very noisy when they opened or closed. Wifi signal from our room was almost inexistent. The place where they served the breakfast was underground and smelled like mold.

It was available even late. Clean place, was easy to sleep, no noises, good water pressure even on the top level. Breakfast service was also friendly and satisfying. Easy to find near center. Feels safe in general.

Wall plug was under desk, a bit uncomfortable location for charging phone with short cable. The stairs could use a bit of attention.

Excellent breakfast covering every aspects. The location is perfect, almost in the city center, all around restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The city train stop very close. The staff friendly and professional.

The power of the A/C system wasn't enough, other way everything excellent.

Hotel is located on perfect place in the city center . Looks nice , rooms are a bit smaller but very cozy and clean . Perfect girls in reception . Good breakfast and good coffe . We were satisfied . Thanks .

The style. The hotel has it. If You like those old school and old style hotels, it’s perfect choice. No complaints about the breakfast; simple but nice commanded by very stylish kitchen chef. Everything is near from the hotel and You can visit the teatre or the cosy bars in the narrow streets at the corner. Comfortable beds and simple but working bath equipment.
