Tastefully decorated hotel through out, spotlessly clean. Very comfortable, huge bed, beautiful garden view from the windows. All staff were very polite and welcoming. I need to mention Solt, our waiter who was outstanding: always smiling and happy to help. The hotel is perfect for a romantic gateway and rejuvenation. Lovely spa and massage. Definitely would stay there again.

Very nice atmosphere around the hotel ,green and quiet location. Well preserved and nice decorated historical mane building , with excellent spa and swimming pool . There was good variety of food for breakfast in the beautiful restaurant inside or on the porch outside.

All in all ,our stay was plesent enought, but there are some issues that ,in our opinion ,need improvement. The half board booking was the only option and we were disappointed with dinner offering variety ,especially for those who don't eat meat , like me. The air conditioning could not cool enough but if you want to increase it you need to call a maintenance and most of them don't speak English . And it seems to me that it's necessary to mention on Booking that there is no shallow water in the pools , so it's not convenient for families with a kids.

It is a beautiful place, it could be heaven on earth. We really enjoyed walking in the mornings through the castle park, enjoying the peace, the chirping of birds, the coolness and the transparent green light coming from the rich flora. The room was bigger than we expected, we also found 2 extra beds and bowls for food and water for our 2 puppies. Thank you! The castle is wonderful, renovated and maintained, the staff is very kind and the pianist delighted us every evening at dinner. There is also a pump in the parking lot for electric power for the car. The surroundings offer many touristic attractions, including the Bukk National Park, which is a second paradise there.

The pet fee is a bit high, considering that those who come with animals are accommodated in an annex building and the pets are not accepted anywhere else. They do nothing, except breathing. Considering the 4 big stars of the location, a bottle of mineral or still water of 330 ml could be included in the dinner buffet.

The food ( breakfast and dinner) was delicious with plenty of choice every day.

Charming property - an elegant combination of a restored manor house and the adjacent modern building nestled in a quiet park with a view over Szilvasvarad coupled with wonderful service and food options close to Bukk National Park. Your noble and comfortable gateway to a quite weekend stay or to an abundance of activities in Szilvasvarad, the neighboring national park or the whole region.

Everything was perfect... fortunately our room was in the main castle, and not the separate new built a big farther away. I would not have been happy with that, given we specifically booked the castle for its charm. Something to keep in mind. The wellness section and the pools were great, food was very good, room big and clean. No complaints

Because of the energy saving it was some Celsius grade colder than it should be, it was especially annoying the water in the swimming pool. I understand the saving, but I think if I pay this amount, I shoud feel at least comfortable

What a fantastic hotel , the room was amazing and the pool area looked fabulous but unfortunately it was raining so didn’t get to use it The evening meals and breakfast was superb Staff were very friendly and helpful Short walk down to the village and great on site parking for our motorbike

Exceptional location in the middle of nature, quiet, spacious rooms with great views, amazing facilities (sauna, hot tub in room, pool in the chateau), delicious breakfast and dinner. Very helpful and friendly staff. Massage therapist highly qualified and responsive. Highly recommended.

It was all perfect.

The room was not like in the info text. We booked double room with balcony, 44 m2, it was max. 25-30 m2. No other room or separate bath room as in the photos on Booking’s site. There was a door but it was locked. Also info text says that slippers in the room are included. They were not. Receptionist (quite rude person) told us that them are not included in our room type. Ok, after arguing a while we finally got them. The waitresses didn’ actually speak english. All this left a little bad taste to my mouth.
