This was a return trip having stayed here a few years ago. There has been a lot of refurb work under taken which was needed. Nice large comfortable room over looking the mountains, under floor heating through out, new shower unit. Ideal place if you like walking/hiking or just chilling out. No problem recommending the hotel, Polite front desk staff, plenty of free parking. Breakfast as per photo's, nothing out of the ordinary. Excellent eatery down the road also another one next to the Palota Hotel up the hill.

No problems with the stay (3 nights). Might return at some time but during the summer months.

I knew that I wanted to visit Lillafured but, beyond that, I didn't know much. Hotel Szeleta turned out to be an excellent find. For me, the Palota Lillafured was completely out of my budget-range... but Hotel Szeleta was not :) . Hotel Szeleta and Lillafured are easily reached from Miskolc... I took the tramway from the train station all of the way to the end, and then transferred to Bus 5 or Bus 15, both of which head up to Lillafured. Hotel Szeleta is in a pretty town in the valley called Also-Hamor, so downstream from Lillafured. I think it was about 1- 1.5 km to walk to Lillafured by way of Felso-Hamor, another pretty town with the stream running through it. I was able to have a reasonable lunch at the restaurant in Palota and could walk their beautiful grounds... so it all worked out. In Also Hamor, there appeared to be some restaurants geared toward tourists... but as it was off-season they were not open yet.

I visited in April. In the summer, there is a swimming pool as well as a sauna and a salt room at Hotel Szeleta. Maybe I can come back in the summer some time to enjoy all of those perks!

Very warm, nice and cosy room with very comfortable king bed. We lived heated floor very much indeed. Buffet breakfast was excellent! Everything one needs for a breakfast was there. Everything fresh and tasty. I love Hungarian salami and cheese, bread coffee. Staff exceptionally nice and professional. Nice neighbourhood. At a creek, in mountains and national park. Easy access from Miskolc.

Nothing, as everything to me was perfect!

Old-fashioned look of the building but modern feconstruction inside. Excellent small pool for refreshment in hot weather. Good breakfast, goog room, good beds. Quiet place and excellent position in the valley in the National park, good starting place for hiking and trips in the centre of the mountain.

Breakfast could a bit more vary.

The location is the best, near Molnar Csárda and 2 bus stops from the Hámori tó. The breakfast is good enough, simple but with good variety. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The installation could be cleaner, the bathroom shower was absolutely moldy. The pool also could be cleaner, as this is an outside pool there is a lot of debris. There are no ventilators in the room even during summer.

Good base to explore Lillafüred and the Bükk hills. Beautiful scenery, located in a valley by a creek. Very clean and tidy place. The staff is kind and helpful. The room is relatively spacious, the bed was are comfortable.

Relatively close to the main road. The breakfast selection was not very wide. No elevator, headroom is decreased by the slanted roof.

The area, the building, the staff - everything is absolutely all right. The breakfast is more than proper for a 3x hotel.

The room was too warm during the night, the heating should be reser a bit lower.

Everything was great Nice location, clean and stuff is nice. Sauna is good to have after a tiring day.

No shampoo is available There are foxes at night, so take care

Excellent location if you want to go for a hike in the mountains, there is a restaurant in the doorstep of the hotel with not much traffic and with excellent food and staff. The traffic is very low in December, so if you love hiking, wait for the snow, book a room in december and let's go!

The edge of the shower tray wasn't clean enough, not saying it was moldy, but it wasn't clean either. And please for the love of god, turn down the floor heating in the bathroom, it was like hell in there. If you want to see more of Lillafüred, you have to pretty much hop in a car or bus to get to lake Hámori, otherwise you are stuck walking at the side of the road as there is no proper direct walking route to Lillafüred from this hotel (except through hiking of course).
