The room was modern. The courtyard was quiet and pleasant. Location is great right on the edge of the old town. There was an arming available for a fee. The staff were very friendly and gave good advice on where to eat etc. the town was surprisingly interesting, well we were surprised. We only booked there to be close to the Madrid airport on our last night. The university, the old town etc are awesome and the town really exploded into life come Saturday evening. The streets were packed with locals. Great spot to stay if you have a rental car and a flight to catch. 20 to 30 minutes drive to the Airport.

The room was very nice but very small. For one night we did not mind but a longer stay might be awkward for 2 people and 2 suitcases. They may have larger rooms.

The room was gorgeous. It was really pretty, small but felt large. Lots of space. Had a safe. We were just really impressed when we walked in. It was better than the photos. The shower was a highlight for us. After a long walk to the hotel, the shower had a massaging/spa function and it made it even better.

There was no separation between the bathroom and the room. It was all together. We wished the toilet had a better door and maybe better ventilation. But, that isn't to say it was top notch! Just small improvements would make it even better!

A lovely room with en-suite facilities - though these are not separated from the bedroom itself. Good facilities, including fridge and safe. The location of the hotel is perfect, just a short walk to all attractions. A lovely courtyard and excellent wi-fi.

Parking was very expensive at 30 euros per day or part day. There was a free public car park behind the hotel, which the gentleman on reception told us about, but it was closed for repairs when we arrived.

The location is perfect. Easily walkable to the main area in Alcala as well as the train station that goes into Madrid. My hotel room was large, clean, and comfortable. There is air conditioning and heating controlled with a personal remote.

I think communication could have been better. Clubs in Madrid close at 6am and when I returned I was unable to get into the hotel. However, there is a doorbell on the side, but it looks like a camera. So we waited downstairs until someone came. No one answered when I called either.

Evenia Alcala Boutique Hotel is for people who are tired of boring modern hotels with no character. It sits in the middle of an ancient town and as a result, is part of the history of Alcala de Henares. So on walking from your room through the inner courtyard, you are reminded of it's history. When you exit the main entrance, you are in the middle of the old town and ready to explore its bars, shops and restaurants on foot. The main Cervantes house and museum is a 5 minute walk. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The cellar, where you take breakfast was unique, since you sit in what was once an active working cellar, still looking like it did hundreds of years ago. Staff were friendly and attentive. While breakfast was self service, on each morning we were asked did we have everything we needed.

It is a small thing only and probably something some people appreciate, but in one corner of the breakfast room there was a TV showing the world news, much of which is bad! Maybe we should have a quiet breakfast before having to hear all that bad news. It's only a small thing, but some gentle classical Spanish guitar music would get my vote instead!

The old building is beautifully restored, yet keeps its authentic atmosphere (patio, cellar). The room was not big, but comfortable, bright and well equipped.

The breakfast - at additional charge - offered not much choice, and was even a bit measured (we could not get some additional bread); almost all bread spreads were packed separately (even the ubiquitous tomato salsa) which produces huge amounts of waist. Evenia, you can do better!

All good - location is near the centre of Alcala de Henares, the bedroom a very good size as was the bathroom, and all very clean. Complimentary bottle of water was appreciated. I had minimal contact with the staff, just a quick efficient check-in and check-out. The central patio is nice. Something to note would be an apparent lack of an elevator, perhaps check if there is a ground floor room if an issue. Nothing negative to report, I would stay here again.

Lovely hotel with old style inner courtyard. All rooms were centred around the courtyard at ground and upper floor. The room was perfect for a night’s stay. The location was excellent being only a few minutes walk from the cathedral and Calle mayor

The only minor issue was the the wood floor was cold during the night but that’s due to being there in January

This is an absolutely beautiful little hotel with stylish features especially the inner courtyard. My room even had its own private mini courtyard/patio. The location was fab with lots of local businesses all within walking distance. All in all this was great value for money.

The only thing I would have liked is a kettle in the bedroom.

The hotel is cleans and the staff is friendly and helpful. It’s located close to restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the train station with about 25 minute train ride to Madrid. We had a car and were able to book parking with the hotel as well. As two women we felt safe and thrilled with the location.
