The hotel has a very nice localization in the middle of the park. Stylish "old world" decoration, but all the modern amenities necessary. AC functioning well, which is important as opening windows in the summer is not recommended (mosquitos!). Very nice and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant on site - no need to go elsewhere, if you're after traditional Hungarian fare this is one of the best in town, and the prices are right. Free parking.

Selection at breakfast good for meat eaters, slightly more limited for vegetarians. Free parking is nice, but a bit tight to maneuver.

Good location, conveniently situated near the spa and just a short walk across the road to the Aquaticum. It's also close to the stadium and the Fonix Arena. The rooms have a "vintage" style with tasteful furniture. The hotel features an on-site restaurant, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Christmas decorations were beautifully done, festive atmosphere. Good parking, which is essential in the area

The breakfast could use some improvement, as it is currently quite basic. The breakfast could benefit from more quality and diversity to enhance the overall experience.

The Villa Hotel basically consists of the second floor of a restaurant in the middle of the park. It is a bit old-fashioned in an exceptionally charming way and seems a bit like "grandmothers living room" in the best sense. In other words: expect a bit "cozy/plushy", and not "modern design"-y. Staff is wonderful and helpful, breakfast buffet is good and offers all that one would expect from a four-star hotel. Definitely an excellent option when living in Debrecen, be it for leasure (thermal spa "across the street", city center 10min by tram), or if you visit the university. A detail that I really appreciated: the hotel left another key card in the electricity switch, which allowed for leaving aircondition on, if necessary, even when leaving the room. Given that the rooms are directly under the roof, this is a real incentive on hot summer days.

Nothing serious. The rooms and their interior have aged a bit and - as many hotel rooms of that time - have fewer electrical sockets than our "battery-recharging-hungry" time wishes.

The location is absolutely great! Aquaticum is 1 min away, the villa is in the park so it is very quiet. Tram is 2 minutes away and it takes you to the city center really fast. Breakfast was good, not 4 stars breakfast but you could eat something for sure. At least 3 good restaurants within walking distance. Small mini bar in the room, clean space.

Rooms are pretty small, 2 people are already a crowd. There are only twin beds and the mattresses move even if the beds are next to each other. I think the biggest complaint is the AC because you have to keep it always on (for heat) and it was very noisy. And you don’t have an overview on how many degrees are in the room. So, if you are a light sleeper, you should take this into consideration. Otherwise, we were happy with the place.

Great location, just near the Thermal Spa, the University, and a tram station. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's a nice hotel, but it could use some renovations.

The breakfast was basic, nothing extraordinary, not appropriate for a four star hotel. The rooms were quite cold, as the heating is provided through the ventilation system, which tends to be problematic during the winter.

Friendly and attentive staff made check-in and the whole stay pleasent. Equipped bathroom with all essentials. Small room but equipped with air conditioning units for personalized temperature control. Convenient parking options provided for guests. Good breakfast buffet.

I needed to work on my laptop, but there was limited access to the connector. An extension cord in the room would have resolved this issue.

Very nice hotel with a character. Set next to a park and the therme this offers an environment for relaxation. The Restaurant also offers fantastic food! Excellent price and highly recommended, will visit again.

Unfortunately they were renovating some of the rooms at the time but they did their best to minimise the inconvenience.

Has the best location at the Nagyerdő area and a nice boutique hotel with free parking. The room was really comfortable.

The breakfast was at a room without windows, underground, and by 9.45 we had to ask for bread and plates, as they did not refill automatically. The breakfast was not amazing but OK for the price.

Everything else was good

The only thing i didn't like is that the decaff coffee was charged as extra and none of the waiters told me there is an instant coffee option available for breakfast. Also there was no option for a vegetarian egg.

One of the most charming and relaxing stays we've had everywhere! The food was fantastic, the personnel exceptional, and the location could not be better! Thank you Villa Hotel!
