The place is beautiful! The rooms and hotel is so nicely decorated and has the original open stone in display really highlighting the property. The service is amazing, all the staff but incredibly kind and helpful. The service both at reception and the restaurant was incredibly attentive. They handed us a printed guide of the Kotor Bay, which is very thoughtful and helpful. The location is very accessible through the ferry, as it is right across the street. There’s a restaurant next to the pool that has an incredible menu and the quality of the wood is amazing. Also, I really recommend trying their local wine! 10/10

As mentioned, the property is very close to the ferry, right across the ferry port. So if your window is facing the street side there’s a lot of noice from very early in the morning until late at night. The window is pretty good at blocking most of the noise, but you if you’re a light sleeper it might be an issue. You’re also not able to open the curtains or the window as the room will be visible from the street. Also, (something that wasn’t so important for us as we were on vacation but might be worth mentioning in case someone is planning to get some work done while staying at the hotel) the internet is VERY slow.

From the friendly greetings at the front desk to the delicious meals - a wide selection of breakfast and a la carte, the wonderful staff including the manager who drove us to our tour because there was a traffic jam and our taxi was delayed.  I simply cannot say enough positive and praise for this place. I highly recommend guests to try the stay, meals, and comfort. The location is awesome as its right by the ferry boat and boats to explore the other islands.  Hotel Capitano has given us a lasting impression of good memories. I'll definitely be back for a future stay.

This hotel is beautiful. Felt very exclusive with so few rooms. Lovely small pool right outside your room door. The room was stunning and we loved the view of the ferry port. Great breakfast spread plus a menu card. A shop 2 minutes away. Nice restaurants walking distance. The highlight are the amazing staff, Ana and Elena. They went above and beyond to help us with arranging beach visits, boat tours, being kind with our toddler and going so far as to finding toys for her to take to our room. Dinner there was our first and best meal of our whole 2 weeks in the Balkans. Great chef and very friendly server. The hotel also produce their own wine which I would highly recommend. Absolutely gorgeous hotel, we had a blissful 6 nights here. We’re a family of 4 and had a beautiful room with a massive bathroom and a sweet little terrace. It’s very pretty and calming with wonderful receptionists and staff. The pool is never busy as I think there are only 7 rooms. The breakfast is amazing with lots on offer at the buffet and an a la Carte menu to choose from as well. The restaurant for dinner is great with a fabulous waitress. I liked the black risotto. It has a nice atmosphere. There’s a shop a few mins away and a bakery too. All round 10/10 and totally sad to leave

It would be good to be able to borrow an iron. There is an ironing service but you have to pay

The perfect place for our trip. The staff were amazing and the hotel itself ticked the boxes. A few practical things to highlight: - Lovely rooms, well air-conditioned, comfortable beds and a great shower. Everything you need is provided for you including toiletries, minibar etc - Staff were amazing, they organised a birthday surprise cake with a sparkler and wine. Throughout they couldn't have been more helpful, answering questions, booking us taxis and offering drinks by the pool. - Great breakfast with cold and hot options. They also provide food on a night if you choose to dine at the restaurant and the menu is comprehensive and tasty. -Nearby to a supermarket and a couple of good quality restaurants (e.g. Bocasa) within 5 minutes. Within 15-30 minutes there are some more. A short drive / taxi away are some other great restaurants such as Verige 65 All round highly recommended

Not a slight on the hotel itself but given we didn't have a car we had to get taxis to various places. For example old town Kotor was just under an hour away and around €50 each way. Despite this we didn't regret it as the taxi money was worth it for the great quality of the hotel and the value for money.

We loved the hospitality we felt from everyone at the hotel. The food is wonderful (special mention to the ceviche!) We felt like we were entering an oasis as soon as we passed the entrance to the hotel, where you can breathe tranquility and harmony. Lovely bed and great decor as well!! Un

Actually nothing, but I might say that It is right at the ferry stop so it can be a bit confusing for some people, but for us it wasn't and we didn't hear any noise that would bother us. We had a great time!

The breakfast and the customer service at this Hotel cannot be beaten. The location is perfect for exploring the coastline. Staff are so friendly and know so much about the area and how to get the most from your trip. Many of the owner's family work in the Hotel and are really invested in making your stay a success! The rooms are also beautiful. We were in the smallest, which was a good size for us and had an excellent shower. Room service is impeccable.

This hotel is opposite the car ferry, and Montenegro drivers like to test their horns are working every five minutes. HOWEVER, don't let that put you off. The traditional shutters and modern double glazing combine to shut the noise out entirely, and all you hear is the whisper of the AC.

Hotel Capitano is a lovely, small hotel. There are only 7 rooms, but this means that the staff give a personal experience to their guests. All the members of staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were able to help with any issues at the hotel as well as booking taxis, transfers, excursions for us. The room was always cleaned to an exceptional standard and had all the necessary facilities. The location of the hotel is directly by the ferry across the bay. It can be quite busy with traffic queuing etc. but it wasn't a problem for us. It also allowed us to use the ferry easily (free of charge if a foot passenger) and we could explore the local area conveniently. Breakfast at Hotel Capitano was excellent, with a comprehensive breakfast buffet complemented by an 'a la carte' breakfast menu. The food was fresh and served lots of local produce.

The pool area is quite small so if you are expecting a large pool/swimming area then it would not suit. It was, however, quiet and very relaxing and suited our needs.

Boutique Hotel Capitano is a beautiful small hotel located right by the sea, in an area that has a beautiful beach and a beach bar Bocca few meters away from the property and surrounded with great restaurants just couple minutes away by car. Rooms are very comfortable and clean with a beautiful interior and a touch of traditionality. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating! The breakfast is great, lots of choices and all very tasty! Overall a great experience and enjoyed it so much! It’s a great spot to stay in if you are planning to discover Boka Kotorska Bay. We all definitely come again!
