Food was very good quality. We stayed half board and both breakfast and dinner were well above average Buffett style hotel meals. The facilities were good, they had tennis courts a private small beach, the swimming pool was lovely but my pet hate it was filled with “reserved sun bed” towels by 9.30am!

Our room on the ground floor overlooked another block of rooms, so our view was non existent, it received no natural sunlight and no where to dry swimming costumes etc. there were some beautiful rooms with private pools and views, just not ours (441)

it is in the details. if you choose white design for your Signature bar, the pillows should not be dirty. In some corners you think you have booked just 2 stars ( brocken tiles, missing color on the walls). Half board was very disappointing. No spices, no herbs, just average buffet style. If you decide to book the pricy restaurant in advance you get top quality but no credit for the half board. Very complicated credit card debit charging system. Very loud golf cars and cars in the area ( EV cars should be standard). During the weekend you do not hear the noise from the street but this is changing on Monday morning.

All the staff are very nice, the location with a private beach is great. The spa personnel were amazing and super helpful. We enjoyed the spa, the beach, the restaurants, and the Greek night. We had a lovely stay for the entire family! We debated between the Royal Blue and the “sister hotel”, the Royal Senses. It is important to note that the Royal Senses is a 5 stars hotel and newer. The Royal Blue in US standards is probably 4 stars, due to amenities, level of housekeeping, room furnishings and room maintenance (night lamps from paper and falling apart, for example). We chose the Royal Blue because we wanted to be closer to the water, and we were very happy with our choice. We went to the sister hotel to use the water slides one day, and to eat in their restaurants sometimes. We also enjoyed all the restaurants in Royal Blue.

The quality of the food in Room Service can be upgraded; the housekeepers were not too helpful, and didn’t clean the common areas outside the rooms enough.

The hotel was set out like a village, which ment that it never felt busy or overcrowded - we opted for a room with a shared pool and this was a great choice as we had a small quiet area to retreat to if the main pools or beach was busier. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. And the hotel management had obviously thought about the little touches that show their clients they care. Welcome drink on arrival, iced towels, fruit around the pool, chilled water at the beach. Sunday brunch with a chellist playing were all memorable things that would definately bring us back here. We had the most relaxing holiday I think we've ever had.

The hotel app, which is a great idea in principle for ordering things and or reporting issues - wasn't responded to as we would have expected. The hotel was encouraging feedback using technology but then we didn't see the personnel back up to make sure that clients felt that their comments were being monitored and or responded too. We reported 2 things, which were not deal breaking but it would have been nice to have had action or a response when you go to the trouble of reporting something and using their system.

I booked this hotel for our honeymoon and wanted everything to be great for my new wife. I was very stressed and was hoping it would be a memorable stay and would meet our expectations...so...did it? Honestly everything was perfect, from check in onwards we were made to feel like our happiness really mattered to them. The spa was really good. If you can afford to spend a bit extra to have a romantic candlelit meal for two, then definitely do it, you wont be disappointed. The food was amazing, the staff were delightful (I would name names, but there probably isnt enough space to list them all). I only hope we can afford to come back again in future.

The resort is beautiful, the main pool is exceptional, all facilities are really good, breakfast is totally exegerated in every aspect, great service, kind and very nice staff everywhere. The main dining room dinner is also very rich, but the alla carte restaurants are beautiful and their food is at Chef Restaurants level. They have an amazing sunset bar with DJ and great drinks. The alla carte restaurants are so good and have such amazing atmosphere that we ate all dinners in the 2 restaurants. Not cheep but definitely worth the money.

The rooms are a bit older than they seem in the pictures. The beach, although very big, well organized and highly invested, has a feeling of a closed Marina (to avoid waves) rather than a natural beach in Greece. The water at the beach is crystal clear.

The private beach area was a fav! As well as the sunset view inside of the resort.

The communication with the stuff was a bummer. Before my arrival, I had a terrible experience with the reservation department. I made reservation 2 months before and then updated it, there were several charges from the resort after in my bank record. I tried reach out to them but never got reply, ended up having to ask Booking to be in the between to push it. A simple thing took me 3 weeks to have it clear. As well of the time staying there, requesting the daily refilled water was not something easy. There was one restaurant offered buffet as dinner, the waitress who usually worked there at that time was rude.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Travelled Crete and this was by far the most wonderful hotel we stayed in. Staff fantastic and so helpful. Was given an upgrade to a two storey villa with pool which was luxurious. Spotless rooms and surroundings. Pools, beach, spa fantastic. Selection of food in buffet was incredible.

Nothing. It is out on its own but you can visit sister hotel which is amazing too. This didn’t bother us though as too nice to leave.

Our only thing - except for breakfast there is a policy of no water in the hotel because they want to make you buy it, and in a very high price too. We thought this is really unlike the rest of the level there, especially given that we paid for half pension- so dinner also and they didn’t have free water even at the dinner table we feel like that’s really petty.

Very beautiful resort, with everything you need to relax, enjoy the stay and focus on your health… swimming pools, separate beach, spa, gym, great restaurants, etc etc etc. Also perfect spots for watching the sunset and sunrise.

The only thing I was a bit upset, is that for charging orders on the room, they didn’t accept my credit card just because I only have it virtual… even though we paid 11 nights with half pension in advance. This led us to paying drinks whenever we ordered something…
