When you don't expect luxury but want to feel welcome, then this is the place. There are plenty of reasons to visit this area, we only stayed for one night, and had a fantastic time. This was not for fancy luxurious but for wonderful hosts who were unbelievably helpful, and treated us like kings. Obviously in a figurative sense and not literal... But, we definitely didn't regret coming. Besides hospitality the hotel was nothing fancy, very down to earth, had all the necessary facilities except internet/wifi. The restaurant was great, breakfast ok, beds comfy on the soft side when lying down, and everything was well looked after. Next time we're in the area, we will come back to stay!

I think at this time of age not having wifi for guests is a big miss. So my suggestion is to make this possible, and yes, I understand that you have to take care of it, finance it and spend time to make it work, but it's very difficult to justify not doing it.

Great location, spacious property located on a small farm location. Beautiful backyard and trees. There is also an awesome farm store with fruits and vegetables, local produce, jams, wine and such at walking distance (although better with a car though). I would be back, good option around hamburg, 20min by car from the Altstadt. They are wonderful hosts!

the breakfast could be better, a bit more complete. But not bad. the others aspects are just like advertised, nice property.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Owners were very kind and helpful, asking continuously if everything was fine and sharing information/tips about the area. Breakfast was also good. There were nice areas around to go for a walk with our dog. Benny, the owners dog, was very kind and friendly, and our dog Freddie also got to go out and play with him 🐕 😊 You can find a grocery store, gas station, McDonald's and some café/ restaurants in couple of kilometers radius. It took about 30 minutes to drive to the Hamburg centre. If we plan another trip in the neighbourhood, we will most likely return to Landhaus Mienenbüttel. Thank you for a great service! 😊

Unfortunately, during the last night, there were a bit noisy guests staying up late and going in and out of the neighbouring rooms, which was somewhat disturbing. Maybe some clear information about the quiet period could be added in the rooms and mentioned upon check-in, especially when there are families with younger children in the nearby rooms.

I coming after check-in hours at 22 o'clock. The owners live the hotel room key very simple that, I can easy find and income inside. Without any additional charge. Owners very honestly and caring. The breakfast very good good and full. Well thought out, had everything you needed. The room is clean, also was everything you need for shot stay. Shower is good, clean everything work well. Large convenient parking place. Good quality - price ratio.

Very friendly family run hotel with restaurant. Nothing fancy, but everything is as expected. It is clean and run efficiently. Lovely dog! :-) When I was there (twice), used by both travellers and workers looking for an overnight stay. You may want to make a reservation for the restaurant as several people were turned down as they were fully booked.

We chose this hotel to spend a night on the way back from vacation in Norway. The hotel staff is very friendly, the rooms are well equipped, clean and spacious. The site is very quiet. The breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. I do recommend this address to travelers passing through this region.

The hotel is run by a family, and that is clearly visible. There is a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very pleasant. The room and bathroom were beautiful, comfortable, modern and spotless. We loved this classic motor court with large rooms and comfortable beds. Very quiet location with easy on off major highways just a few kilometers away. We’ve stayed twice and had great meals in the on-site restaurant: dinner as well as breakfasts. Owners are wonderful hosts and very kind.

The location of the hotel is really great! It is not far away from the high way, very convenient location. The staff there are very nice and friendly. Good breakfast and dinner, quiet in the night. Not far from the hotel (walking distance), there is even a Hofladen where you can buy tasty local products.

The wifi is not so great in the hotel room.

Just about everything about this family-run hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The comfortable room was on the ground floor with an external door, making loading vehicles very easy. Unusually, it had its own restaurant, which served excellent food very reasonably priced.

The only thing worthy of comment is the lack of a kettle in the room.
