Amazing place to visit - historic buildings with modern interior in a village environment.., in the area clearly best place to go. Still it is of course a huge challenge to have professional staff meeting the expectation of the location. But everyone was really kind and customer focused :) be open and flexible - then you can enjoy a unique place with great food and ambience 👌👌👌 rare to see such places

The concept of a country house and a hotel, surrounded by forest but still having a supermarket and a couple of restaurants nearby. Nice that they accept dogs

The price point of the restaurant was a touch high. No common areas, or a lobby to gather and have a drink. No frigde in the room. From the room in the first floor we could hear the kitchen and personnel door in the evening quite a lot.

The size of the room and quality of the meals except breakfast. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

The breakfast was very disappointing. The eggs and bacon were cold and the chafing dish was not even lit on one morning. That was not good value at 20 Euros each.

They had thought of everything. we arrived late with two babies and our Labrador and everything was all set up beautifully. They had even left our dog some food in a bowl (next to a dog bed) which was an excellent touch. We stayed here as a stop over on our way to Denmark as it was just off the Motorway and easy to find. The room was also ideal for all of us. We will definitely be back.

The only thing I would perhaps suggest is it would have been nice to have a kettle in the room with tea making facilities.

Had a lovely stay with my 4 year old son, they were super welcoming and had a kids menu, a bit of toys for entertainment, and a beautiful big garden. At the same time, I would also find it a wonderful place for a weekend getaway without kids.

Really great place and the whole venue felt so typical German countryside. The staff was amazing and made every extra effort to make us happy and comfortable. The room however felt a bit worn down and the ashtray on the terrace wasn’t emptied in quite a while which felt unfresh.

We stayed there during the winter and it seemed that heating was turned off during the night which was really uncomfortable as we had a baby with us

Lovely and stylish hotel in a beautiful old building near Hamburg, very convenient for the motorway. Very friendly service, excellent breakfast with a lot of choice. A pity there is no restaurant apart from breakfast. But the landlady kindly let us eat our take-away from the excellent Italian next door on the premises and let us use all we needed from the hotel - plates, cutlery, glasses... And we could buy our drinks from the fridge accessible around the clock. All in all a good solution - and even cheaper than going to a restaurant! :-)

Nice hotel in charming surroundings. Very high level of service and we were well received when we arrived. Nice interior and beautiful garden. Several good options of coffee, beer and wine that you could choose yourself and then pay at checkout. Next to the hotel is an Italian restaurant with good food and high service.

We chose the hotel because it is a boutique hotel and had an expectation of sitting in the lounge in the evening with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. When we got to the hotel after dinner at 8.30pm it was unmanned and dark and we had to go to our room instead. It is quite unusual to have to pay for coffee and tea in this type of hotel.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was large, spacious and well equipped. The hotel is in a quiet village perfectly situated to atop off on route to Hamburg Airport.

A mini fridge in the room is always useful to make our baby’s milk however only a minor detail
