An old hotel, but with renovated rooms. The rooms are large and spacious. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is in the heart of the city. There is an option of paid parking from the hotel, which is very convenient. All rooms and access to the hotel are operated by phone, which is convenient from the point of view of late check-in. When booking, guests receive a gift card for free access to museums and local entertainment. The breakfast is another story - I really liked its content and its atmosphere.

I would pay attention to the cleanliness of the floor. We walked barefoot and therefore saw that there were problems)

Big room in two sections with a sofa sitting area with a small coffee table, brilliant as we arrived late and wanted to finish snacks we had from our trip so we had our own little “picnic”. Modern beautiful room, plenty of storage and hanging spaces, comfortable bed. The check-in was seamless if you don’t mind having to rely heavily on digital key. You register before you check in and open the front door and your own doors with your phone. That’s brilliant as no one was at reception at the time we arrived. The only thing is you always to make sure your phone battery is good but we had no problem. Parking wise we arrived on Saturday night and the bonus of arriving on Sunday is that you can stay for free off street parking. The fact we still not in the high peak season I reckon that is why we could find parking easy but in summer season you will have to get in touch with the hotel beforehand to arrange for them to get you a discount for the all day parking. Good news kept on coming : I read you could get the guest card from reception and let you enter the four town attraction for Freeeeee ! We did the town museum (brilliant!) the “instagram”fantasy museum thing was ok but never I would have paid the whole price for it if I had to pay! It was fun but hardly finished in places. The miniature museum was free too but there again I would have not pay the entry fee if I had to pay unless it was cheap. The waterfall was free too and it’s a lovely easy walk open till late. Breakfast was exceptional, loads of choice and variety of nice breads! We had a wonderful Black Forest roulade at the end of a full day of exploring. And it was IMMENSE!!! Delicious !! The staff was really friendly and helpful!

The bathroom was relatively small in comparison to the room size. Breathe in! Dusty towel rail!! The bed was clean but the sheets at the bottoms had holes in and one pillow had stains like pen stains. The pillow a bit too flat for support. No lift but the room was only on the first floor.

Our stay in Triberg, Germany, was an enchanting experience surrounded by the beauty of the Black Forest! The town’s charm, with its iconic cuckoo clocks and delightful atmosphere, instantly won us over. We loved exploring the famous Triberg Waterfalls, just a short walk from our accommodation, and hiking through the serene forest trails. The local food was incredible, and the warm hospitality made our visit even more special. Triberg’s rich history and picturesque scenery offered the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. It was a truly magical getaway!

Nothing…

In the heart of Triberg and the Black Forest this hotel is a gem! I stayed with my family (kids age 13 and 11) in the family room and we all loved it. The room had plenty of space for all 4 of us with each child having their own bed. Situated above a bakery, the breakfast included each morning was delicious. Location is great and easily walkable to everything the town has to offer, including a very short walk to the falls. If you have a car parking is convenient at the paid lot they help arrange for you around the corner. I highly recommend this hotel, and my kids say its the best hotel they have stayed at!

Only one minor thing to note - hotel is on a main road so at night if you have the window open you can hear occasional road noise. You dont hear this with the window closed though, so not a major issue.

Location! Just 5 on 5! 10 mins walk to the waterfall, restaurants and supermarkets also within 5-7 mins of walk. Reachable from triberg station by bus. Also the room was neat and clean and very spacious to stay with a kid!

The breakfast was disappointing. Only boiled eggs and not much option in bread too! Coffee or tea was not very nice. I know it’s buffet but even then we travel a lot and much cheaper hotels do provide better breakfast options! Nevertheless, it was snowing full 2 days while we were there so cannot complain.

We arrived about an hour after the front desk closed and used a simple after hours check in. Hotel was nice in central small business area. Easy walking distance to the Triberg Falls. Parking is not the most convenient but managed to park in 30 minute spot around the corner to unloading and loading luggage. Very nice and large rooms but no elevator and of course we were on the third/top floor. Number of good restaurants close by. Breakfast was good and hearty in the European continental style. We ended up not using the hotels parking but found easy and inexpensive parking close by. Room was nice and had a small sitting area.

The room had more modern amenities than we expected and was very cozy. The location was great, with a nice view of trees and hills from the window, we were a short walk from the Triberg falls. The breakfast was also good and in a nice dining room. It was buffet style where you serve yourself, but with a set and reserved table for your room.

No elevator (that I saw), not a big deal, but if you have heavy bags expect to carry them up some stairs. No clear directions on parking (none included directly with the hotel), I think there was a cheaper option for parking that could be arranged with the hotel, but that wasn't made clear to us in advance so we paid more for parking elsewhere.

There is very good breakfast included in the price as well as a local transport card and tickets to 4 of the main attractions in the town (waterfall and some museums). Room was amazing! Really big, had a tv, kettle, tea and coffee, toiletries. Even a desk and coffee table with chairs. The bedsheets were the softest I have ever had! There is a café downstairs which had various cakes and also a vending machine with wines, beers,, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks at very good prices. Location was perfect and right across from an amazing restaurant. I didn't want to leave this place. Highly recommend.

The hotel was welcoming of my dog (large breed). The family room was very spacious and very clean. Bathroom and bedroom were modern and had all we needed. Breakfast was good. The location is on the main street, just a short walk away from the waterfalls. There was the possibility of covered parking on the side street.

The only thing I didn't like was that I had to open the window to the main street to get fresh air at night, because it had been a very hot day. So it was noisy while there were still cars circulating under our window. But it calmed down later in the night.

Big room! Well updated to give the comforts of a modern hotel. Breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent! The cakes and pastries sold at the cafe was well worth the visit on it's own. But take note of the days in the week the cafe is open. It will depend on the season. They properly arranged for our late check-in and they have a paid parking area just around the block. Location is walking distance to most of the attractions in the main town. If you open the window in our room, you could hear the water flowing from the nearby brook (coming from the waterfall) but if you fully close the window, it also properly blocks out the outside sounds if you want a quiet room.

No elevator so plan how much luggage you plan to bring up to the room. Wasn't much variety to the breakfast so if you are staying multiple days....
