I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. Hugo, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. He’s always happy to give great recommendations—whether you're looking for the best local restaurant or the quickest route to your destination. You can even ask him about bike options if you want to explore the area on two wheels. The breakfast was a real highlight: fresh local cheese, salami, fruits, yogurt, and delicious bread—everything was fresh and full of flavor. The hotel itself was spotless, very clean and cozy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Hugo is a Lovely helpful host. It was a 6 minute walk to the main square! Breakfast was amazing. Enough food for me for the whole day..rolls, butter, jam, chocolate spread, fruit, cheese, charcuterie, yoghurt, orange juice, milk and chocolate milk in a fridge, a microwave, ….room had fresh ground filter coffee, teas and biscuits! The bed was very comfortable! Only three rooms in this b+b. Room was huge.decorated, table and chairs, sofas, tv, ..so many extras! Hugo was so helpful and generous! I recommend lady Jane 100%! It exceeded my expectations compared to other b+b’s I’ve stayed in! I was in the African room! I felt very safe and comfortable! First night late arrival in Bruge I stayed in a sterile tiny hotel room near the station. Coming to Lady Jane, felt cozy like being a guest in your home! I only had two nights but would have liked to stay longer! Bruge is a small, pretty, medieval city! Fun to explore. Came home to rest and went out again! Thank you Lady Jane bb and nice meeting the host Hugo!
Nothing! My old knees didn’t like the stairs but Hugo helped me with my bag!

We stayed at the “Japan” room, which gave us a whole floor (2 bedrooms, a big living room and a bathroom) - all super spacious! To start off: bed and shower are super comfortable, and then there are so many things to add up that make this a 10/10 stay: - Very clean and quiet place - Hugo, the owner and host, is such a nice person, he will want to receive you at the b&b and give you advices on the city, recos on the restaurants and explain things about the house - it is a 10 min walk from the city center - short, beautiful walk - and to top it off: Hugo provides a great breakfast with amazing bread, cold cuts, juice, spreads and some fruits. All served in a very simple, yet so lovely way (in our case, he left the bread everyday around 8:15 in the room and we prepared a nice table and a dripped coffee at the machine he provides) - great and fast WiFi, no problems at all
This is more of a heads up to future guests rather than something we did not like - keep in mind it is an old house, with the beauty and perks of it.. so there’s no elevator and you will need to take your luggage up. Also, the stairs are not the most comfortable ones (small steps) and the floor is a little squicky. Again - none of this spoiled our stay

The breakfast included the best croissants and pastries I've ever had, baked by the host himself that morning. They were absolutely wonderful. Hugo was very accommodating in response to all sorts of requests. This included implied 'requests' -- when he realized I was drinking the OJ at every breakfast, he started leaving two bottles, for example.
The bed was a little awkward -- I was in the Japan room, and the bed was two mattresses on a tatami mat, so it was low and a little difficult to get up from (but my legs have problems so it might be okay for others). It's a good nod to the theme of the room, however. Also the duvet was thin and needs to be replaced by a thicker, fluffier one.

Beautiful room, close to everything. Hugo was very kind and made sure we got everything we needed. The room has everything you need, a fridge, beautiful lights. The stairs up to the bed are a little tricky but manageable. The bed was super comfortable and it was super cozy. The breakfast in the morning was exceptional, we loved everything about it..would definitely recommend to visit Hugo and his beautiful B&B! He recommends a lot of nice restaurants and we went the night for mussels. A dream!
The room was a little warm and we had some mosquito problems, Hugo told us about, so definitely not his fault. Only the shower was a bit tricky, it's a bathtub were it's not so easy to stand up and have a proper shower. But overall the stay was wonderful.

Hugo was so welcoming and friendly, showing us up to our room upon arrival. The room was quirky and fun, but importantly comfy and clean. The location was excellent and really easy to find. And in the morning, Hugo laid out breakfast on a tray outside the room with a selection of pastries, breads, meats and cheeses, with a fridge full of drinks to help ourselves to. For the price point you absolutely can’t go wrong.
Nothing!

Hugo was very kind and helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast was really nice each morning with freshly baked breads and fruit. The room is very spacious and homey with its own style and character. Cleanliness was very good.
The shower is a bit inconvenient with no shower mount over the bath and the water temperature kept going up and down on its own.

A unique B&B. the Lady Jane certainly provided an interesting experience during our stay in Bruges! The décor was interesting and provided a very personal touch, while Hugo was very welcoming and helped us every step of the way. The breakfast that was included was amazing, with wonderful fresh bread. Great location allowed us to explore the city thoroughly via foot without having to walk too much.
The bathroom is sperate from the bedroom and shared, which was not in the description as I remember. The bathroom also did not have a shower, just a bath, and only shampoo was provided. Due to that historic nature of the house, the floors are very creaky and their is little to no sound proofing.

Absolutely lovely place! The teddy bears around were adorable (although the clown doll near the bath was a little unsettling!) and the host, Hugo - was a charm. Gave us recommendations for where to go; always had the fridge stocked with treats, and the breakfast was perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bruges.

The room was very big. There was a sofa bed, a sofa, and a loft bed, which we didn't use. The breakfast was nice and sufficient. Hugo was very responsive to our queries.
The loft bed was too high for us. Going up and down the spiral staircase was a bit dangerous for us, and the bed up where it was didn't feel safe for two older folks like us.
