This was just a one-day stop on our way back to the UK via the Rotterdam to Hull ferry. We wished to visit Rotterdam before the ferry home and used Dordrecht as our base, taking the train into the city. It would be fair to describe our hotel as quirky, using the architecture of the Water Tower to great effect. Our room was fine, plenty of room with two chairs, which you don't often get in an hotel, and a comfortable bed. The shower was fine. We had a meal in the restaurant when we arrived and this was excellent. We also enjoyed our breakfast. Our hostess was very helpful and welcoming.

It would be fair to say that we didn't totally like the fact that there was no door to the toilet and shower area. The hexagonal shape of the room meant that it was 'round the corner' as it were but maybe being a couple of oldies weren't totally comfortable with the idea.

What a fabulous place to stay, had been beautifully refurbished to a very high standard. Impressive views from an accessible viewing platform. Delicious breakfast.

My only gripe, which was really only due to my age was the bath and shower. Huge step to get into bath and that was also where the shower was so made it totally inaccessible for me. Possibly could have been helped with strategically placed handles and another step or two to get in.

We were 5 people on a bike tour for 6 nights and this was far and away our favorite stay. Great staff, rooms, breakfast. We particularly loved the observation deck. We had two rooms and one happened to be on the top floor (we flipped for it and I lost!), which was particularly AMAZING. Fantastic breakfast as well.

Well, if you're afraid of heights and enclosed spaces, don't stay here! Otherwise, enjoy!

Very welcoming staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The room was very sensitive to the sound of others guests. It depends on the construction of the building, the old water tower. But one thing bothered us, lack of bathroom door. Hard to complain about it because we stayed there before, so we knew it, but even so it was very uncomfortable. .....but it is still worth recommending.

Everything. We stayed on level 8 (top level) and the big windows allowed for 180 deg views that were just spectacular. We had dinner in the courtyard on a warm night (echt gezellig) and a breakfast that had everything you might want. Across the road was a field of wildflowers that was so beautiful - it's a private garden but on certain days/times you can go and pick your own flowers. A great experience overall. Staff were wonderful. We highly recommend staying at this place

That we couldn't stay longer!

Secure storage for cycle overnight. Friendly / cosy dining room. Excellent dinner (surprisingly extensive menu), good choice of AF beers. Superb breakfast served on a platter with a selection for all tastes. Room had a bath. Water tower, so an unusual shaped room, adapted in style.

We loved the large room in the water tower. Slept really well in the very comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and plentiful, more than we could eat in fact. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was absolutely delicious

unique and interesting. beautiful room with some lovely touches. the diamond shaped windows and carefully constructed curtains were great. breakfast was delicious. staff were all lovely and helpful.

nothing but useful feedback might be that we were asked to lock the main door when we came in late. when you lock it, it’s locked from the outside but still opens from the inside. it would’ve been helpful to know this as it took us ages to work out that we had successfully locked the door! more coffee options at breakfast would have been nice but the food was thoughtfully prepared, fresh, generous and delicious.
