We feel so lucky to have stayed at this wonderful place, it is truly heaven. The facilities are superior to anywhere we have stayed with real attention to detail and providing a serene atmosphere. Staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating. Pomelo was excellent for both breakfast and dinner, with an extensive choice of menu. Jeff’s Cellar was a unique experience in a jaw dropping setting and is a must do! We felt extremely sad to leave here and would love to return.

Nothing we didn’t like… if we have to offer constructive feedback, then it would be the provision of the outdoor speakers at the villas. Some people did play music very loudly which can ruin the tranquility for others.

during initial arrival from guard house i was asked to go to parking lot, then self carry the lugguage till the front door but no one is there to guide. We have to turn and find the lobby upto reception ourself, which is the only negative impression during this stay. I believe if there is a communication between the guardhouse and the front desk, then it will be better. Otherwise, our stay in banjaran is exceptional with the awesome service. Thank you.

It is a beautiful place surrounded by a lush garden. The place is very peaceful as a retreat should be. The staff is very nice and polite. Our lake villa was specious and very comfortable. The food is very high quality. The fine dining restaurant Jeff's cellar which is located in a cave is amazing and its location unique making it a memorable experience. The tasting menu was a treat to the palate! All in all, a fantastic hotel.

Nothing about the hotel. It's just that when I asked for a change of dates in booking.com, it was refused by the hotel because it was a cheaper rate. At the end, we agreed to pay the initial rate and not the discounted one. I wouldn't say it is good business practice.

My wife and I enjoyed a short but memorable stay at Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat—a last-minute detour that turned out to be a highlight of our trip. While the retreat offers a beautiful natural escape, some aspects feel like they need PROPER refreshing despite the property being just over a decade old. The Highlights Thoughtful Care: Arriving slightly unwell, we were touched when staff sent a small wellness gift to our room – these personal touches elevate the experience. Exceptional Activities: The hot springs, jungle lakes, nibble fish waterpool and meditation caves were fantastic. Even with just one night, we soaked in the relaxing atmosphere—wish we had more time to try everything! Delicious Breakfast & Room Service: Breakfast was excellent, though I had to laugh when my "steak and eggs" arrived with a tiny, almost symbolic piece of steak. On the flip side, room service was speedy, and the food quality was restaurant-level. Breathtaking Setting: The retreat’s location is stunning—limestone cliffs, lush jungle, and a peaceful thermal lake create a true sanctuary.

Dated Feel for Its Age: While opened in 2010, some areas already feel worn and in need of updates. Eg the TV had an analog connection, and while the decor is tasteful, certain fixtures and furnishings show noticeable wear. New Hospital Nearby: A recently built multi-story hospital near the entrance slightly clashes with the retreat’s secluded vibe. Once inside, the tranquility remains, but the initial approach isn’t as serene as it could be.

The Jeff's Cave dining experience was absolutely incredible. We loved everything, the meditation caves, the food, the staff were incredible. Thank you for making my birthday and our 30 year wedding anniversary incredible.

The only drama we had was the jungle walk to the petty zoo. We didn't realise we were going to an enormous theme park and got quite lost in the place with no sunscreen, hats etc. We had heaps of trouble getting back to the resort. The staff at the theme park were really unhelpful. In the end we walked out the front and all the way back along the road because we couldn't get a buggy back. If we could have gone back the way we came in with a code or pin that would have been better.

Beautiful Welcome & the pomelo in the room was a great touch! As well as some other little treats. Also they kindly did a happy birthday for my friend as we were celebrating her birthday by having a treat girls night away. The breakfast was really nicely done and they were so careful about ensuring we had the right menus for our dietry requirements.

Can't really think of anything here, it was all nicely done....oh if I have to say something. the coffee was machine coffee, rather than barista made, so it wasn't great but we enjoyed the Nespresso style one in our room instead.

We love everything about this place! From the moment we stepped in for check-in to our check-out service was excellent. Breakfast choices were great and we were able to take our time to relax and enjoy the whole place as there were not many people around. The gifts were a lovely touch - the welcome bouquet of flowers (we were celebrating our anniversary) to the bed deco and cake, to the snacks during turn down service, to the parting souvenirs. Will definitely be back here!

Price point was a little steep but would understand the amount of maintenance required to upkeep a place like this and keep it as it is.

A mini patadise. Very luxurious and relaxing. Hot springs and amazing limestone features and caves to enjoy. Very spacious and well-appointed villas. Generally very quiet everywhere Jeff's cave is a unique experience for a special occasion. Staff were very helpful everywhere. Lovely grounds. Beautifully planted and maintained. Butterflies everywhere!

The food in the Ponelo was variable. Tasteless omelette (poor choice of cheese we think) and an overly soggy noodle dish in particular did not impress. Our phone wasn't working so when we checked out we couldn't call for a buggy to help (it is quite a walk to some villas). Jeff's cave staff assumed we were there for a drink and insisted we join a group who were being shown round. We were never given the opportunity to say we had a booking until we'd got to the bar and I think they realised they were missing a couple of people in the restaurant! Would have appreciated a change of music. If a meal is going to take hours, you need a longer playlist! At the price I would expect everything to be close to perfect. It was very, very good however and we would definitely recommend this hotel

Don't know where to start; simply magical experience from start to end. It was all the innovative, quirky little touches for me! From the luxurious breakfast with a champagne corner and unique options like ochazuke, to the many interesting caves you can explore and chill at, to the stuffed tigers placed around the resort to "scare" the monkeys away, to the many delicious offerings like whole pomelos to chocolates to the thoughtfulness of the staff... and so on and so on! We really didn't want to leave, and we truly rested SO WELL here. Oh, and when I made reservations at Jeff's Cellar (the on-site restaurant IN A CAVE) and let them know it was my friend's birthday, the staff not only celebrated it at the restaurant but decorated our room as well! The fine dining experience is not to be missed too, by the way. Though both the stay and the dinner were not cheap, they were truly worth every penny!

Honestly, everything. The hot spring, ice bath, swimming pool, spa, food.. everything was amazing. We wish our stay was a little longer in this tucked away out-of-the-world of full mind and body relaxation. We especially loved our ritual of going from the hot spring to the steam cave then to the ice bath and back again, and then end it with a swim in the pool with ice cream. Can’t believe this is in Malaysia. Definitely will go again for a longer stay.
