The staff were great throughout, especially as my flight was 7 hours late, I arrived after midnight and with no luggage as the airline had left mine at Gatwick :( The night watchman checked me in and gave me extra toiletries including toothbrush, toothpaste and a comb. There were two courtesy bottles of water in my room on arrival too. My bed was huge and so comfy, the sheets were smooth and cool. Just lovely. My room was made up every day and fresh towels added when needed. Everything was so clean, which I was very pleased with as I'm rather fussy about such things. I had booked a room only as I didn't want to have to get up in time for breakfast! Instead, I bought patisserie and fruit items from the local supermarket for brunch. I ate 2 evening meals at the hotel which were delicious and reasonably priced I thought. The servers were attentive. I'm intending to return next year and might splash out on a rear room with outside balcony, just to be able to dry swimsuits and towels outside as I had an internal room, which, although had 2 windows to an outside area, it was a muddle of roofs with another storey or 2 of roofs above, nowhere to hang anything to dry. I've been going to Calella de Palafrugell on and off for at least 45 years with family. This is the first time I've stayed at a hotel and it definitely won't be my last! I felt very relaxed and safe at Hotel Mediterrani, especially as this was my first time holidaying abroad alone.

Brilliant location, perfect for spending the day on the cute beach right at the front of the hotel. Tables outside looking out were great for morning coffee and evening post dinner drink. Staff were so friendly, I had a great experience checking in and checking out with two different people and they were so nice I felt very welcomed. Inside lobby/seating area perfect for chilling when the weather wasn’t great.

Appriciate I was solo so this wasn’t terrible but in a small (very neat and clean!) room - It had a window but was in the middle of the hotel so over looked the entrance at the back atrium, when waking up had to really strain to see what the weather was like/just see the sky! It was fine for me but just a warning ask for a view. The walls/doors/windows also pretty thin you could hear everything, neighbours showering, coming back late, knocking on doors etc. woke up to very loud work or bin men one morning to. Again - all fine for me and not a problem or reason not to stay at this lovely spot but bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper :)

The res taurant food was good and the staff helpful and polite coffee or alcoholic drinks overlooking the sea a must do thing parking was fine and very close by

The restaurant could do with a refresh and a bit of color it felt a bit like a mausaleam with plain walls and a couple of old oil paintings no vibrancy at all in what is projected as a modern hotel we ate in restaurant on three nights and the food was good if not inspired and our waitress was a joy but when restaurant only has a few couples dining it feels bare so a little piped music in background may help

Great hotel with the best views over the Calella bay (if you get a room with a balcony, otherwise the lounge or the excellent outside terrace have basically the same views). Staff are invariably, and non-ingratiatingly, friendly and helpful. Calella (de Palafrugell...that's important to distinguish it from the other Calella down the coast) is a beautiful Costa Brava town with great beaches and some excellent places to eat. It's a very 'non-package' destination, and although it's been gentrified a fair bit it retains a small fishing village vibe.

We had a room with a balcony, with the breathtaking view of the bay. However the romantic feel at night was somewhat marred by the harsh fluorescent lights on the front of the hotel...which can't be turned off or down. That's the only thing I would recommend that the hotel consider changing...

Probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in! The location is perfect, right on the beach and within easy 5 minutes walk of the main village with restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, the breakfast was delicious and all the better with the seaviews from the restaurant. There is a beautiful terrace right outside the front door serving drinks, breakfast, tapas. The hotel provides beach towels and complimentary sun umbrellas and loungers but the best thing of all were the staff. In particular we'd like to thank Anna Maria and Ambra for being so helpful and making our holiday so relaxing.

Nothing, the hotel were so accommodating to our every need, they even provide a guest shower room for people who have checked out but want to go to the beach for their last day.

The location was great! Beautiful view from the rooms as well as the dining area. The staff was very friendly and helpful even with the language barriers. By far the best hotel here.

The room could have a kettle for hot water. Had to keep getting warm water from the bar. The house keeping could do with a little more attention to detail. We stayed for five nights and I asked for an extra pillow that kept disappearing. The shampoo and bath wash were not replaced regularly.

We loved the location, friendly staff and the restaurant on site - it was super convenient to have breakfast at the hotel as nothing else was open for hours in the morning when we woke up.

We found the parking to be quite expensive, and we were expecting a room with a bit more of a view for that price. We ended up with a small room overlooking a carpark and playground at the back of building.

My stay at Hotel Mediterrani was exceptional, far exceeding expectations for a 3-star hotel. Although I typically opt for 4-star accommodations or higher, this hotel stood out with its unmatched customer service, which you might not even find in more upscale hotels. The location was exceptional, offering convenience and beauty. Our room, equipped with a spotless balcony, was perfectly clean, enhancing our comfort. The breakfast provided was also quite good

My room was facing back. Next time I get the ocean view.

Obviously the location is the main selling point. The hotel has gorgeous views overlooking g the bay. It’s very clean and our room was a good size.

It’s not that I didn’t like anything but the room could have benefited from a small fridge to keep drinks etc cold. We were room only and the price is expensive as you are paying for the view. I have been here 3 times now as I love the view from the balcony.

I love this hotel and for sure we will be back, it’s close to the beach and the staff is very nice. This time we got a smaller room on the 2nd floor ( for the same price as last time 3rd floor ) but that’s subject to availability and the staff was kind enough to explain the situation.

Well, some beach towels would be great to be provided and maybe invest in some nicer amenities and use ecological products for cleaning, the smell of chlorine and ambiental spray in the room is a bit annoying and irritating.
