Exceptionally good staff.

While the hotel staff make a great effort to keep the hotel as clean and functional as possible there are areas that can improve; our shower mixer was faulty as the water was flowing through the shower head as well as the tap, probably due to a fault in the mixer. The fridge plastic shelving unit was a bit unstable and keeps dropping due to a guiding rail that was broken. These are not big problems but better QA from maintenance staff would help resolve these issues.

Port- Bo is a unique, very comfortable hotel with the best breakfast buffet on offer. So generous and the staff are very helpful . The position is so close to the beach and fabulous restaurants. It is quite retro and old world but immaculately kept. On all the walls are tapestry's that were created by the family's Grandmother. Whatever we needed extra pillows or blankets were provided with ease. The pool was fantastic and lots of sun lounges to enjoy. David and Adrian were very helpful and informative. We would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this friendly hotel. The main part of the hotel is like a film set from the late 1970s, all the furniture and fixtures seem to be original from when the place was first built - and has been incredibly well maintained. We really liked this retro character but it may not be to everyone’s liking if expecting a modern styled hotel. The breakfasts here were brilliant, the daily service of the rooms was very efficient, and all the staff we met were very friendly, relaxed and helpful. The free laundry facilities were extremely useful for us. Location was very convenient to the beautiful seafront of Calella.

The canopied area by the pool provides shelter and screening and is very practical, but could be made a bit prettier perhaps with planting. But this is a very minor thing.

On arrival greeted by the owner really lovely man, we think our room upgraded as we had 2 teenagers with us and it gave us more space. Rooms were very clean and spacious with a verandah overlooking pool.Cleaned everyday new towels We had a kitchenette and cooked one evening ..The breakfast was amazing so many options and the staff so kind and welcoming.Pool area lovely. And so close to bars , restaurants, beaches .Car parking space 10 Euros each night..but felt safe leaving it here than in the rd. Overall we loved the mid century vibe of Hotel..

It was all great

The room was really big, the beds were comfortable and the terrace was also big. The staff were really friendly - and there was lots of choice for breakfast!

There was only one blanket on the beds and no extra ones in the cupboard - we asked the night receptionist for two extra blankets and he gave us one and said he'd look for another one, but it never came, so I woke several times feeling a bit cold even though I was wearing a jumper. I asked the a different receptionist the next day and when we came back later that day, there was an extra one on the bed.

Incredible breakfast, with lots of attention from staff there (omelettes included, scrambled eggs, etc). Room was huge, with even two rooms, for a family. Very nice swimming pool and jacuzzi (but winter time, so no able to enjoy it). Very nice location, very close to center (2 min walking). Room with A/C. All the staff at the hotel (and by all, I really mean all of them) were very very kind.

Rooms could have a small fridge, and TVs in rooms be a little bit bigger (very small size). But this is just to mention something, because overall, very good experience.

Apartment within the hotel. Excellent and charming staff who all spoke English. Fabulous breakfast. Car parking. Swimming pool. Easy access to the beaches. Good WiFi. Bike storage inclusive of repair and maintenance equipment. Daily cleaning. Air conditioning.

2 single beds rather than a double bed.

Fab location only a few minutes walk from the centre and beachfront. Breakfast was amazing. Our room had a sun terrace perfect for evening drinks. The staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely pool area. Free safes and fridge in room. Efficient A/C Onsite parking.

Being picky here - Lack of hotel bar/restaurant (other than for the amazing breakfast) A bit "echoey/noisy" when fellow guests were moving around their rooms or using the bathroom.

Fantastic location. On site parking essential in Calella. Great pool which wasn’t busy and no towels on loungers to reserve space in the morning. Breakfast very good. Apartment spacious, clean but a little too functional and sparse. Cleaners came every day

Apartment needs a few more facilities and more welcoming. Had to ask for a corkscrew and a kettle

Really good breakfast with lots of fresh choices including cooked eggs and bacon. Very friendly and helpful staff. High standards of cleanliness. Very nice pool and never too busy when we were there. Really good value for money especially in comparison with many other hotels we've visited in the area.
