Dear fellow traveler, With the utmost sincerity I urge you to visit the Coorg Wilderness Resort and Spa because it is simply amazing, down to the smallest details. We arrived after dark and out of the jungle rose massive iron gates with side lights, and we were inspected by security - this felt very Crazy Rich Asians. We were met at the roundabout by Aswathi who facilitated the rest of our checkin. We received a blessing, were led to a couch, and received a cup of ginger tea before she went over the stay and amenities with us. We were shown to our suite, which was beautifully appointed in every way. Simply luxurious. You will not want for anything, there is something to occupy every visitor, even the pickiest among you - even our 15 year old daughter. The food in the restaurant is outstanding, a feast for the eyes and the palette. Daily there are many activities offered. Our favorites were morning bird watching, rooftop yoga, and a wilderness walk. The latter was led by Jagath who knows much about the local flora and fauna, and was infinitely patient with our many questions. We met other of Jagath”s colleagues, Harish, and jithesh, who operate the sustainable farm. We were offered the opportunity to select our own poultry for dinner…a rare option in our experience. The farm provides produce and meat to the kitchen and the results are unbeatable. So fellow traveler, this resort is most certainly worth your time for a visit.

Coorg Wilderness Resort is an exquisite retreat that offers a luxurious escape amidst the serene beauty of nature. The well-appointed rooms, stunning views, and exceptional service make it a haven for relaxation. The staff were attentive and accommodating, and the dining options were outstanding, featuring a delightful mix of local and international cuisine.

However, there were a couple of issues that affected our stay. We encountered a small infestation in the bathrobe, which was unfortunate. Though the staff acted promptly to resolve it, it was a detail that shouldn’t have been overlooked. Additionally, there was noticeable noise from another group staying at the resort, which disrupted the otherwise peaceful ambiance. While the overall experience was wonderful, I’d recommend addressing these minor concerns to maintain the resort’s high standards.

Everything from the beautiful property to housekeeping to food to the restaurant staff to reception staff are wonderful. Sidhdharth, Smrudhi, Paul and Jitesh the estate agent were wonderful and took care of every small request for me. The property is stunning and I absolutely loved my stay. The staff took special care of my son and my dad. Nupur and Brijesh at the restaurant gave personalised excellent service everyday. I used their spa and Mingma was just so amazing. I will be back to this property again.

Everything is excellent

The property is lavish luxurious and well maintained with highly skilled and professional staff I must say. The resort is ultimately picturesque and has visually appealing landscapes throughout the resort.The property area is too huge. The decor is so impressive with Tiffany lamps everywhere adding taste of European houses and fairy tale scenes amidst the property itself. Despite being in the forest there is no inconvenience of insects entering the rooms as the rooms are well insulated for such purposes. The room has aesthetic touch of flamboyance and majestic royal designs of furniture and fittings. This property is an epitome of class and magnificent architecture.

There is nothing to the. Louved to bits

Immersed in a breathtaking view, my stay was pure bliss. The panoramic views from my room were simply unforgettable, stretching endlessly across rolling hills and lush greenery. But the true gem of the resort was the staff. They were incredibly helpful throughout my stay, always anticipating my needs and going the extra mile to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. From activity recommendations to arranging local excursions, their attentiveness made it a truly relaxing and unforgettable getaway.

Food was okay not really good.

From check-in to check-out, all services and staff are exceptional. The property is located on a hill top amid a forest. The undulating grounds are beautifully landscaped with a variety of flora and well maintained. Several decks and an infinity pool offer great views of the mountains and the forest around the property. Suites are spacious (even with an extra bed), squeaky clean, and well-appointed. The interiors everywhere are beautiful and were stunningly decorated, this being the Christmas season. Food options in the restaurant and in-room dining seemed a bit limited. But, the chefs were always ready to go beyond the menu.

There was nothing not to like!

Amazing regal rooms, our suite was wonderful. Extremely well-lit, and lavish bathroom space. Good views as well. The sunset point is a must-visit, great views of the entire place from there. Overall, a very nice property to walk around. Good reception area, good pool, an excellent gym, and activity center. The walk around the property was conducted adequately. Would definitely recommend if visiting Coorg.

A definite improvement is needed around food - The buffet food was a bit lacking, both in quality and even the arrangement. The live counter serving dosas and parathas for breakfast wasn't great (problems with the dosa batter, and the salty parathas). The salads, sandwiches, and drinks were also not of great quality. The non vegetarian section seemed a bit of an afterthought. While the variety isn't bad, none of the dishes stood out in either breakfast or dinner buffet. Overall, the food was average at best, which is a shame given the resort does well in most other areas of hospitality. Regardless, it should not deter from a visit once at least.

It was an marvellous experience. Money well spent. The staff was extremely cooperative and pleasant. They made sure we had a great stay. My special regards to Mr. Joy, Gagan, Sara, Harish, Ramesh, Abbas and all the staff members whose name I couldn’t recollect. They have state of art facilities and all the luxurious bits you would expect from the best properties. They had many recreational activities in the resort that kept us occupied. Their spa is one of the best I’ve ever been across to the world. The meals were tastefully prepared and very sumptuous. I can’t wait to back. I had a stay of 5 nights and 4 days, still I feel I could’ve stayed at least one more week and wouldn’t get bored. We fully relaxed and rejuvenated.

There is nothing I didn’t like. It was an exceptional stay for me. I have only good things to comment about the property.

The location is amidst coffee plantation and jungle. The view of the misty mountains is mesmerizing. There are lot of adventure activities and things to do in the resort that will keep engaged. The local cuisine at Vembanad is must try. The staff is very courteous and took take of special request

As the resort is admist jungle it is a natural habitat for monkeys. We didn't have to keep alarm to wakeup. Monkeys started jumping over the roof at 6am.

Right from the architecture to maintenance of the property, everything was excellent 👌 The staff is extremely courteous and sweet, the pool was well maintained, also a great place to just walk around, considering the size of the property.

Would have been nice to have a bar at the pool. Carts/buggies were not very frequent, so most times you have to walk uphill to eat, or do anything for that matter, got a bit tiring. The bird walk was quite weird! We literally strolled in the front of the reception for 15 mins, considering they have such huge property in the middle of a forest, their 'nature expert' could have taken us to a more green area where you can actually see birds. I saw more birds while climbing towards the sunset point, wish i had binoculars then :(
