The hotel is modern, yet retains the Japanese spirit. The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel itself is very quiet and serene. We slept so well ! We loved the breakfast and the possibility of getting a beverage and hanging out at the reception area after a long day of running around Tokyo. This was our second time here, and the kids couldn't wait to get back to their favorite hotel. The staff is kind and courteous, and the hotel is such a homey and fun place to be. It is located within 1 min walk to Ōtsuka station (Yamanote line), so it is really easy to take train to all the places of interest. There are so many cute little places to eat and a convenience store with ATM right across the street. We highly recommend it !!!

Excellent location — just a 2-min walk from Otsuka Station on the Yamanote line. Thoughtfully designed room to maximise space, with a spacious loft sleeping area and sofa-bed at bottom level. Floor space is generous — we had enough space to move around even with our multiple pieces of luggage and bags! (which is not the norm for Japanese hotel spaces...) Very comfortable for our family of 3. Great area surrounding hotel (not overly busy as with major train stations), with many family-friendly eating options, convenience stores and supermarkets. This hotel exceeded our expectations and we'll be recommending it to family & friends!

There are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the hotel, which is too few for a hotel this size. Had to queue to get laundry done in the evenings, which is the time most people do theirs after returning from a day of outings. There was a long wait to use the dryers as it would take 1.5hr (3 cycles) to get clothes decently dry. We ended up doing our laundry at 6am. :]

We had breakfast on our third day, but should’ve had it more! Value for what you got was very good, and lots of variety to choose from We especially found the location very convenient being a two minute walk from a major line on the train system. It was especially easy to get to the airport from this location as we just hopped on the bus, which was one stop away from our hotel. I really special treat was finding delicious high-quality, and extremely affordable sushi restaurant within the block. I wish we could go back today. We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Fantastic location, beautiful clean room. This hotel exceeded the expectations of the whole family. 100% would recommend and will definitely book again when we return to Tokyo. The area surrounding the hotel is fantastic too. Not too frantic and just a short train ride to the main hustle and bustle of Tokyo.

We stayed here as a family of 4 with 2 young children (4 & 13 months) and found the room to be bright and spacious with plenty of storage. A decent sized bathroom with both a bath and shower. Comfy beds. Welcoming and approachable staff with filling breakfast. The location was amazing for us being close to main train lines but in a less busy area.

Whilst not exclusive to this hotel, it would have been helpful to offer a travel cot to save guests having to bring their own from home. We found the room had plenty of space for one.

The Yagura Room was spacious and even came with a tub! The staff was friendly and able to converse well in English. The hotel also allowed for luggage storage before check in time. Hotel was also conveniently located a 3 to 5 mins walk from nearest station. OMO 5 is a hotel that feels like its more than a business, where its part of an effort to revitalise the local area with a dedicated wall map to the different tourist attractions ranging from shrines to eateries. They even have a nightly DJ session at the hotel's lobby! There is a minor inconvenience for the Yagura Room, the lower bunk bed is a little on the short side, with some cushioning to prevent head bumps. Would recommend that the hotel attaches the cushioning on the entire frame of the bed. Overall, OMO5 is a hotel that provides great value and hospitality. Do check it out!

Great stay! If you are tall be careful, luckily there are soft guards under the bunks. The food was fantastic, largely rice/risotto based and one bacon and eggs option. It was on the JY line and Otsuka station is very easy to navigate from, close to many small food shops and one supermarket. We felt that the space was large enough for three adults to comfortably navigate. There are blinds downstairs to provide privacy re changing etc. The staff were all amazing and very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and functional. It was quite unique having the sleeping on a mezzanine above a living area which worked for us but had to be careful not to knock your head with the low ceiling. The beds were comfortable but you had to climb up stairs to get to them (which was fine). We enjoyed Otsuka as a location. It is on the Yamanote line which is handy to all the main tourist areas but it is away from the centre of Tokyo. It is quiet and had a nice character. The hotel is very close to the station so that is also convenient. There were plenty of places to eat and the breakfast was delicious - delicious rice risotto or full American breakfast. They also have a fun dessert with Saki for when you come back in the evening.

The location is superb. 5mins away from Otsuka train station. There are at least 4 convenience stores within walking vicinity. Food choices are abundant. The hotel also recommends restaurants to try if you are unsure where to go via their map wall near the entrance elevator.

Their rooms could be cleaner, alot of dead pockets of spaces that you can easily see are not cleaned. I guess it is a reflection on how well their rooms sell, there may never be a good period of time where they can clean their rooms thoroughly.

Cool design, very nice breakfast with plenty of coffee, great location on Yamanote Line but in one of the quieter neighborhoods with the old-school Toden train running through the neighborhood for extra-quaintness. Rooms were extremely clean and nice.

The room design with the bed lifted above the living room space was a little awkward. Most adults would have to stoop to enter the living room space, then have to crawl carefully up the little stairs to the bed space above it. Ultimately, it's a minor inconvenience, and does lead to a very cozy peaceful sleep up in the loft. But I wish the ceilings were like 40-60cm higher!
