The room was a good space for a couple and there were many amenities provided by the hotel. The check in/out process was easy, there was daily service for changing towels and taking trash out, and the area at the lobby was filled with manga that you can just sit down and read whenever and whatever you want. Finally, it was not my case, but it was very well located and it was very easy access for those traveling in and out of the country via Haneda airport.

I felt like this room compared to all others I’ve been in Japan was a little more run down. Some of the furnishings were damaged and dirty, the wallpaper was falling apart and there was a weird faint smell in the room, which eventually we adjusted after about an hour inside the room. In my case since I was not staying there because of the closeness to the airport, this was much farther away from the main areas and attractions in Tokyo (Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ueno, Akihabara, etc)

We really appreciated the hospitality and flexibility of the staff. They kindly accepted luggage deliveries from the airport and other locations, and also offered complimentary luggage storage both before check-in and after check-out — which was truly exceptional. The free-flow curry rice and udon were also a great bonus — after all, who doesn’t love free food?

The only challenge we faced was transporting our large suitcases from the nearest station, so we ended up taking a taxi directly to the hotel. I’d highly recommend this place for light travelers or anyone planning to take a short taxi ride from Shinagawa Station for added convenience.

I didnt think I would love the 24hours Comic&Book lounge area to be such a winner for the stay. The free food & drinks was such a saver after a tiring day. And, the hospitality of the staff is also such a plus point. Having coin laundry in the hotel is also very helpful. I’m 164, my brother is 177 and we have no issue with the room size, beds, or whatsoever. It was just the right size for us, enough for luggage (and extra shopping bags). Also, they gave you pyjamas which is really nice if you pack light (granted this comes in 1 size, and I’m a size 8, and its big on me). The area is a bit of a suburb so lots of other apartment, hence the lack of city noises which makes it nice for resting time. There’s also a bunch of good local food around the Kamata St. area (just walk a bit). The hotel isnt located close to central Tokyo, but that is a decision I made as I need to be back at Haneda quick, and there are a few express train from Keikyu-Kamata to Haneda which is such a lifesaver.

Not much, no universal plug, but USB-A is available so if you forgot adaptor you should be good.

A very cool concept of a comic book hotel. Also provides 24 hour udon noodle soup, japanese curry with rice, and a soda machine included in your stay. The other facilities like two washing/drying machines, microwave and a currency converter machine were very useful in our stay. Very close to the train station where you can take a limited express train to shinagawa station to go around tokyo.

The room had a bad body odour smell and we had to keep the windows to air it out. The smell did dissipate but still lingered by the time we finished our stay.

this accommodation was beautiful, especially with the manage library in the lobby - also had free refreshment drinks and udon + curry Staff we’re friendly and made our stay very welcoming - easy check in process especially at 1am due to late arrival from travelling Easy process of check out also Rooms were cozy, small for us islanders but still accommodating to a short stay before heading to the city areas 7/11 next door , which myself and my family loved for late night food haha but also quiet close to everything train station, restaurants and shopping would recommend if you were travelling to or from airport HND stay

The property is located in a handy location, 5 stops/8 mins from Haneda airport by train (Keikyu Line). The walk from the station is a little longer than I would have liked but young legs will be just fine. Getting to other parts of Tokyo is easy by taking the train to Shinagawa and transferring to other lines. Meals are included consisting of simple curry/rice and udon noodles which are great for breakfast or a late night snack. Manga fans will want to stay longer as the hotel’s library is extensive. The neighbourhood is safe with plenty of convenience stores and places to eat.

We only stayed one night so didn’t have time to find much fault. Room size is typical of Japanese lodging. Bathroom are classic modular all in one.

This hotel was so charming! It had all sorts of little unexpected extras. For example, I knew there was a manga library, but they surprised me when they showed a whole shelf of English language manga! The selection could have used some work, but since I was expected 0 english language manga, it was a happy surprise.

I really have no complaints. As is often the case in Japan, the toilet could have been bigger. It's a strange thing to have to say, but it really is a common complaint by Euro-American visitors.

This was an excellent location for a hotel being located so close to the subway station for easy access to the airport! It also was in a quiet area of Tokyo with calm streets all around it. I enjoyed walking around the area. The room layouts were really nice especially for one person. Desk area with chair, good TV alignment with bed and a nice bathroom area. In addition, I really liked the manga comic renting even though I didn't have time at the end of my trip to fully enjoy it.

The area to get the free noodle and curry meals was a bit cramped and hard to move around if multiple people were getting drinks and meals.

Just a little bit away from Haneda International Airport, Quintessa was a fantastic first hotel on our trip to Japan. Very courteous and English friendly staff that made the check-in process seamless! The room was fair (accurate with what they showed on their website) and was very clean and well kept. Probably best part was their included free curry/udon and refreshments section in the lobby that was available 24/7 to all guests with a generous manga library. The food was fresh and filling every time I had it, and was a great way to feel welcomed at this hotel. Would also note that during my time waiting and relaxing in the lobby with my food, that there was a good mix of both locals and international travelers staying at the hotel. I always consider that a good thing when it comes to staying in a hotel. Will definitely be recommending this place to friends in the future!

Honestly, there wasn't much outside of things that we should have already known. The room layout could be considered non-intuitive for duos, as the space was clearly designed for a single traveler in mind. Alongside this, perhaps the room was a little bit stuffy when we arrived, being at the Japanese "standard" for rooms at 26 degrees celcius! Unfortunately, as Canadians, we needed it a lot lower! That being said, the thermostat was easily accessible and changeable, and we were able to change it as needed.

I arrived at around 14:20, the reception told me to wait 10 minutes and then they had my room ready, which was super helpful, without any extra cash/registration necessary. Free drinks/soup/curry and lots of manga. Taxi to the airport was 3.000 yen, which they called for me beforehand. Room was clean, bed very hard, just how I like it. Also really quiet, which suprised me. Despite being in the south, I still managed to visit a temple and tokyo-tower on half a day. Overall great value for money, especially for a half/day-morning flight-stay.

The room was really small, just my small bag opened blocked the floor completely. For my one-night-stay this was no problem, yet if you plan to stay longer and spread your clothes, you should ask back if they have larger rooms.
