Joy Beach Hotel was a lovely place to stay at the end of our holiday. Particular mention must go to the excellent manager Vassia who seems to work 24/7 yet remains unfailingly friendly, helpful and generally lovely. The rooms and bathrooms have seen better days it must be said but were clean and comfortable and the air conditioning works really well. The pool is gorgeous although we mostly swam in the sea. The beach is a couple of minutes walk and the loungers with shades are free to use which is amazing - it would be far too hot to lie out without shade.

It would be nice if the kitchenette in the room was a little better equipped - no corkscrew or sharp knife, one pan, three cups for a room that sleeps 4 (though we were only two so not a problem!). A tea-towel would be a handy addition, too. But this didn't detract from our enjoyment of our stay at all.

The location was superb, the proximity to the beach was great. The reataurants nearby were very good with lots of fresh, tasty fish. We loved the variety of different cuisines, too. The appartment was facing the pool and met our expectstions (family with three children). It was cleaned as per our requests, the cleaning lady was very nice and polite. The pool was clean and nice alternative on a windy day. Free sunbeds on the property were also nice. The host was nice and approachable, supported us in all our requests. The transfer from/to the airport was as requested, the driver was very nice and followed our wishes with other requests, too. Overall, another great vacation in Santorini.

Pool was lovely, there was a chicken named Bugs who sometimes stopped by the property. Vassia at the front desk was super helpful; she organized our ATV rental, taxi to the airport and any other bits and bobs as needed. Room was bit with air con.

Music from the other bar was definitely an issue. I thought it would be unmanageable but in the end it’s only distractingly loud when at the pool (not in the room) and between maybe 2-8pm when conveniently we were never at the hotel. Would also recommend maybe cutting back the tree that over shadows the balcony in room 8, not completely but a little bit. Very cool to have the sunbeds but only a sliver of sun got through.

Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Property provides pots/pans, plates and cutlery, fridge and complimentary water, tea and coffee. Swimming pool is gorgeous, clean and quiet. Property is attached to the YoYo which is a beach cafe with another pool and bar service (in the pool!) Staff is extremely friendly and aims to please! Any arrangements can be made for you (car rental, excursions, etc…) only downside to this beachfront property is that our stay wasn’t long enough!

A gorgeous, small hotel run by the amazing Vassia, for whom nothing is too much trouble. The fabric of the building is getting a little tired, but it’s immaculately clean. The pool area is lovely & hardly any other guests seemed to use it, although I was there toward the end of the season. It’s in a great position near to lots of restaurants & 2 minutes walk to the beach.

The music from Jo Jo’s bar which adjoins the hotel can be quite loud & annoying when you’re trying to chill by the pool. But it does finish early evening so it’s not too bad.

I would like to give a special recommendation to the staff at the hotel, especially Vassia at the reception desk. She absolutely went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as she could. This was all the more appreciable since we were traveling with our 18-month old daughter. Our family loved her!

Nothing really. The room was huge and they offered daily room service.

The room was basic, a good size, had everything you needed and worked..! It was cleaned every day, as was the outside with the pool area very clean and tidy by the staff. The one thing that made our experience was Areti on reception, whom was not just reception,she was manager, bookings,departures, conceige and execptional person a true credit to the hotel, this is what brought joy to the joy hotel. It was ideally situated for bars restaurants,beach and local transport.more of a couple's resort although something for most age groups.

The only thing really was,the music from the bar next door was a little much all day everyday,when you are trying to relax round the pool. It wasn't bad, but would have been more relaxing without it.

Very convenient location, close to the beach, yet close to everywhere, especially since we had a car. Ample parking space. Good service

The location is very close to the sea, the access through the JOJO is really nice. The club is never too loud and it's pleasant to have a cocktail or two sometimes. Rooms are rustic with style, AC is great and size is BIG. Beds are big, sturdy and mattresses are very comfortable. The swimming pool is great at day and night, you can chill on the very comfortable beds and under the stylish umbrella as well as watch the sunset in the mountain from the pool seats on the right corner. The trees and garden makes it a beautiful place to stay when you want to relax. Last but not least, the manager is very gentle and helpful, she makes sure everything is as it should be. Also rooms are cleaned and serviced every day and the place all around looks spotless at any time. Picturesque!

Overall nothing deserving any remarks. Maybe the side public road needs some attention, nothing to do with the Hotel though.

The receptionist (Areti) was a Joy in ever since of the word! She is welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. The location, The location, and the pool. I think one of the best places to eat is right in front of the hotel "JoJo". You have to treat yourself to their wonderful food choices! Also, I think you can order food to be delivered to your room since they are located right in front of the hotel! I know this hotel is not for very everybody...Like my wonderful friend, who must have breakfast included in her stay! If you are looking for a good deal with a very relaxing pool area... Then look no more!
