Great view at breakfast (when it wasnt snowing). Good to have a few dining options close by in the adjoining shopping centre - even if some were not that great. Staff were super friendly. Room was good.

Parking process was not really explained properly (r maybe i just didnt listen well enough) - so got stuck trying to get out a couple of times. Breakfast had a reasonable variety but wasnt that great in terms of flavours. Our worst japanese breakfast - that included staying at a hostel. Everything was luke warm - coffee was poor. Location not great - bit painful being out of town.

We have all read stories about Japan and how when travelers lose their belongings, it’s always returned to the rightful owner. Well it finally happened to me and I left my wallet with $450USD in the desk of my room at checkout. I called the Grand Park the day after checkout and the housekeeping staff had already turned it in. The staff (Mr Jiang, and Rei I San) were extremely helpful in mailing my wallet and cash back to me. Thank you so much!! I highly recommend the Grand Park Hotel!!

Great location overlooking the harbor. It’s an older hotel with a nice view. We wanted to turn out the room lights and look at the harbor.

Pro tip - get off at Otaru-Chikko station to go to this hotel. It also has a strange symbiotic relationship with the mall, which doesn’t open until late. It’s also realllly far from Otaru proper. Don’t walk to find dinner along the canal unless you like walking by iffy harbor lots far from the crowds. We weren’t the only ones taking an unexpected hike. Much better to take the train two stops away and walk to the canal area.

The room was great, very large ., lovely view from the room. Linen changed daily, a novelty in this day. Breakfast great variety of options, to suit most cultural tastes.the hotel 5 2 stops fromOtaro but trains every 15mins. And cost about $2.50 each way. Wasn't a problem for me.

The bed was firm and I like to sleep with the AC off and window open. It was a bit noisy as the train station is close by. A good and not so good thing. Ocean view rooms should not be bothered by the trains

This hotel is near the Otaru-Chikkō Station.You must make a right turn as you exit the station and get into the mall entrance, which is on the second floor. The mall is open around 10.30 to 22.30. The hotel reception is on the first floor. Find an escalator to the first floor to the hotel. I recommend everyone to stay at this hotel. Buffet is excellent. I and my wife love it. The staff is very friendly. Restaurants and supermarkets are easy to find.

Spectacular bay view room, decent 35sqm room size with reasonable price. Professional and polite staff. smooth check in and out. Located in quiet area as it’s quite far away from Otaru central. A pro for us as we drive. Buffet breakfast is above standard.

Nothing bad to us. Make sure room windows are locked when travelling with kids. Hotel staff helped lock them promptly upon our request.

I booked an Ocean View Room which turns out facing a yacht club with little yachts and boats and really big enough. Nice ocean view too. Breakfast selection and quality was good and staff at the lobby cafe were very nice and helpful. A definite credit and merit to Sano san, she speaks very fluent English.

Great hotel, attached to the train station and massive shopping mall with great food at the grocery storeplus a Daiso store for Hawaii folks! Comfortable, quiet even on the train/mountain side of the hotel. This was such an unbelievable bargain! Microwave is on the 13th. Floor,

No coin laundry but that’s okay. Otherwise, it’s perfect!

Mall connected to the hotel with arcade, shops and restaurants. Just nice when my kid needs some playtime at the arcade.

30mins walk to Otaru shopping street. So had to drive & park there. But of course I already knew roughly about the distance.

The location to get to three resorts easily was good. It was close to two smaller but great resorts and one larger one. All three were not in tourists areas meaning low number of ppl and no lift line…. The variety of terrain was great not as long runs as bigger mountains, but was made up for in fun. The room was big. It is not a new hotel but was presented well clean and great view. It was a 5 min train ride to centre of town. In the complex there was a shopping mall including everything you could need. Restaurant, shops, food, drink, entertainment. Right on train line and bud stop to town or resorts. If you wanted it was a 20m walk to town through most beautiful Japanese town. The area had cheap prices and friendly ppl. I can be hard to please, aside from maybe an upgrade to the hotel it was still clean well presented and a good location. Especially for what you pay. I will defiantly look at staying there when I return. Don’t let mixed review sway you from a great place. Yes it not the middle of the town but it so easy and fast to get there it really was great and for Japan size was huge….. Definitely recommend for boarders looking for a good place with good access to the mountains. Staying on resort is expensive for room and everything you need. Why waste that money when you can experience the real Japan. Five stars in my book. There is always a front office person why can speak English. Great place. Thanks

Only thing I didn't like was it could do with a refurbishment but it was not bad it was dated. But you can’t complain especially for such a good price. Nothing bad really to say.
