We were participating in an overnight car rally running out of Minden so the location was good being on the highway home. Checked in and immediately requested a noon checkout, was granted with no extra charge due to the expected heavy snowstorm. Got organized and only had an hour's rest before heading to the event, then in the morning got back about 8am. Passed on the hotel breakfast and went straight to sleep before heading home at noon. We are thankful for that. Really needed sleep before the 4h drive home. BIG snowstorm that day. Room, bedding etc was clean & warm. Loved the supplied fridge and microwave. Came in handy.

Being a Motel, the usual issue of other guests having loud conversations right outside your window. Snowmobiles coming and going. No one idled or rev'd their engines at least. Found the heater noisy. Recommend good earplugs. Found the washroom got chilly if the door was kept closed. Parking was a maze of pickups & skidoo trailers but there was a BIG snowstorm so markings were impossible to see. Lastly, I feel >$200 is pricey for 1 night in a 2-queen bed motel room. The cleanliness and appliances make up for it but I've stayed in bigger, nicer hotel rooms for cheaper in downtown Montreal.

The room was very clean, and we had housekeeping every day. The location was perfect for our needs, just a mile from the trade show we were attending. The owner is lovely, very accommodating. Check in was quick, no hassles, price was great.

Nothing really. This isn't a fancy place but it had everything we required.

Very direct for travelling. Accommodating our hockey team families. Children were able to visit and even played mini sticks outdoor together.

A bit outdated in terms of bathroom needing maintenance and Reno. Fan vent in washroom was not working well very loud.

The lake view was spectacular, and the motel is closed to places where we can find to eat. Plus, it was pet friendly and didn't charge us a fortune for our dog to stay. The place is clean and has no smell

Great location across from park with walking path and down the street from restaurants and shops. Friendly staff who always waved and said hello. Clean and tidy room. Would stay here again.

Nothing, it was a comfortable stay.

It was clean and well-kept, exactly what we needed. Overnight in town for work. The staff went out if their way to be helpful and dropped off a mountain of clean towels while we were out.

Haliburton needs a place to buy breakfast at 5am, but that isn’t the Silver Maple’s fault.

Property is currently being refurbished and the rooms are a combination of old and new. However, other than in other motels you can really see and feel that the owners take care of the place. Owner was also very accommodating with respect to our request for a different room!

Location is very close to downtown.. with a nice view of the bay across the street. Room was clean..beds were comfortable. There is a fridge and microwave in the room.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the addition of the microwave in the room. Previous stays before new management there was only 1 microwave at the office for all rooms to share

Price was very expensive. I've stayed in much nicer hotels and motels for much cheaper. With taxes and fees I paid almost $200 for 1 night. Only thing that has changed since my last visit was beds, curtains and the addition of a microwave in the room. I dont see how an extra $75 per night from the previous rates is reasonable

Just book this place, kind of spur of the moment, as our group was doing a super long arduous trail the next morning. I didn't want to drive 3+ hrs north doing an 8 hour trail and drive 3+ hrs back so we booked this place. Haliburton is beautiful! I've been in the near area a lot but not yet to Haliburton. Have to bring my better half next time. The drives from Minden and to Carnarvon are both amazing. The motel is pretty much par for the course motel in the great area, a bit cleaner/nicer than others. Staff was friendly and helped me out when I had to clean up broken glass. Reasonably priced when everything else is going for stupid money and all you want to do it crash for a night.
