The breakfast was very fine, everything was there that you could wish. Location also very fine, close to trainstation. Interesting to learn about the history of the building, the location in the cellar where the breakfast was served was very well maintained and spacious, here you could feel the Wings of history. Nice with pamphlets and a booklet for those that are intersted in the history. The bathroom was nice, well designed, and modern. Obvious that it was remodelled. The Room was ok, the bed nice, not too soft, not too hard madres, nice walltapestry, also good with a small table for writing.

Would be nice with comfortable, soft chair for reading... But since history is in center it should be designed either modern style and/or fitting in style.

Breakfast is great with a really good variety of hot and cold food and lovely environment. The hotel has character and I really like the 'personality' with modern art mixed with historical articles on the walls. Good choice of music (relaxed jazz in reception and breakfast room). The room itself had a heated bathroom floor and interesting layout. The staff are relaxed and friendly. I like the fact that the default position is NOT to clean the rooms unless asked. Good positioning for the newer and older areas of Malmo and the station.

Each room will be different but our one was quite dark with one small window facing directly onto a wall opposite so no sun. With character comes 'old' elements. This did not bother us much but some people might not like the low sloped attic roof or older furniture. We booked a room with a double bed but got 2 single mattresses. This might be because of the 'bonus' of being able to lift up both ends like a hospital bed but we did not want that and it meant as a couple we had a gap between us. It also meant that the mattresses were very soft and dipped in the middle - I presume this is so they could bend with the electric system.

Quaint hotel with confusing passages, lifts and staircases sporadically spread throughout the building. Actually got lost at one stage. The city's library has been preserved by the hotel and was an absolute pleasure to have coffee there specially after we had booked out. Many thanks - that was great. Room was a nice size, bathroom was fine and the fridge was a nice touch as it was a little warm outside. The huge flag was fantastic in re-finding the hotel after walking around.

The navigation qualification required to find you room again ... just joking. It was fun finding alternate routes to the room. When we were dragging our cases, the stairs were an issue from the street level and then on the way to the room. An airconditioner would have been real nice.

I didn't manage to sample the hotels breakfast as it stopped serving at 9:30am, and I tend to sleep later than that. The room was very spacious and clean. A mini-fridge was in the room but I never used it. Large bathroom with a heated towel rack, shaving mirror. I don't recall if there was a shaving outlet in the bathroom though. Soundproofing was good (I think) as I didn't get disturbed by other guests at all. The hotel itself was a 5 minute walk away from Malmo Central trainstation, so very easy to get to. Plenty of very good places to eat in the local area, bars etc. Staff were very friendly and full of smiles.

I am used to hotels having shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers in the bathroom, but my room only had a soap dispenser in the bathroom with one very small bottle of shampoo and conditioner. This would be fine if you are only staying for a day or two, but longer than that and those bottles will be empty. The Mayfair also uses classic room keys, as in an actual key and not digital swipe/tap keys. As there is only one key per room, this can cause difficulties if grouping in a large room.

Breakfast was great everything what you could think of to start the day good or to fight hangover. I wasnt able to get to the breakfast often but when I did it was really good and helped. Only thing I would want to change is times because for me I am not early up when I don t have to and 6:30 - 9:30 durring weekdays weren t good enough for me sadly but thats personal preference.

The shower was done very weirdly but it was functioning enough so not a problem I just needed to watch out for the doors to shower to not break them and water could get out no matter what you did.

Fantastic location less than a 10 minute walk from the central train station. The historic hotel had wonderful common spaces -- lobby, library, breakfast dining area in charming cellar space below -- and spacious, comfortable rooms. The morning buffet was complete with many hot and cold breakfast items, including eggs, bacon, sausage, hard / soft boiled eggs, even Swedish pancakes! In addition, meats / cheeses, pastries, breads, etc., as well as coffee / tea / juices. In short, one of our best breakfast buffets ever.

Though not necessary for us, there was only a small lift available, so that could be a problem for guests requiring that amenity.

The location was very good, just a short walk from the railway station. My room was small but cozy. The hotel itself had an interesting history, and I liked its atmosphere. The library room with free coffee/tea was beautiful. The breakfast was very good.

While I liked the breakfast, it was not very easy to find what I was looking for right away since coffee/tea/other drinks were served in a different spot than the other stuff - and waffles were in the third corner. The wifi connection was a bit unstable at times.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The room was clean on arrival and could be cleaned each day on request. The room had a nice enough TV, plenty of seating, comfortable beds, and more than enough space for clothing, luggage etc. There was a kettle that I made plenty of use of in the evenings and a minibar that I refrained from using, but the option was there. There is a lovely library beside reception that provides a wonderful place to sit and relax at all hours, with free tea, coffee, and biscuits available. I made use of this a few times when I wanted to relax but not head up to my room quite yet. The staff were incredibly helpful and always available to help. Even after I checked out I was permitted to make full use of the hotel's facilities until I needed to start travelling home several hours later. The hotel is only a five minute walk away from the Central Station, it's connected to a lovely little souvenir shop, there's a lovely bakery just up the street (try the Semla!) and there's a plaza full of convenient places to eat just around the corner. So in terms of location, two thumbs up. The breakfast was the best I've had of any European hotel I've stayed in so far, offering the usual continental breakfast staples as well as extras that made a Brit like me feel more at home (it amazes me how few hotel breakfasts I've had in Europe include bacon and eggs, but all was well here!)

The most minor of nitpicks would be that the consumables (tea, coffee, shampoo etc) in the room were never replenished when I requested the room to be cleaned, but the provided toiletries were enough for the duration of my stay, and I was able to get some teabags and sweetener from the library lounge whenever I needed to refill on those.

One of our best stays anywhere. Easy walking from train station, near everything. Amazing history of the hotel, very enjoyable to read the framed descriptions on the hallway walls. Absolutely beautiful library with 24 hr tea. Best breakfast (included), absolutely first rate. I can't imagine anything I would want for breakfast that wasn't there. Friendly counter staff, good English. We arrived in Copenhagen a day before the cruise ship departed because of long flights. Took a chance on taking the train to Malmo rather than staying in Copenhagen. Great choice. Train was so convenient, crossing the bridge beautiful, and Mayfair better and less expensive than Copenhagen. Malmo is a pretty city, great restaurant nearby.

When I arrived early at the Mayfair Hotel Tunneln, the staff were incredibly welcoming, offering to store my luggage until my room was ready. My room was cozy and full of character, with a comfortable bed and modern amenities to ensure a relaxing stay. Breakfast was served in a historic cellar, featuring a variety of fresh, local dishes that added to the hotel's authentic feel. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready with great local recommendations. The location is ideal—just a short walk from Malmö Central Station and close to many of the city's main attractions, making it easy to explore on foot. While the historic charm of the building comes with some quirks, I found these only added to the overall experience. For a stay that blends rich history, great service, and a perfect location, Mayfair Hotel Tunneln is a wonderful choice in Malmö.
