Location was good.

Roads was not good to the property!! Even single sign board was not placed any where. Maintenance of the room was not standardised!! For my total stay the television was not working. For the half board customer there is a another menu card, we have to select from the provided menu card only.

The location was spectacular, truly. The view from my balcony was a panorama over the valley below and the surrounding mountains. The property is situated in a remote location, which makes it a quiet and beautiful retreat in a garden + with its own tea plantation. The room was well appointed, and it is clear a lot of attention and care was dedicated to quality towels, comfortable bedding and quality furniture. The mattress is very good and I was able to enjoy a nice, peaceful night sleep. The personnel around are super nice and helpful with everything from reception, bag carrying, service, and everything one might require. Reliable wifi as well.

I'll start with the breakfast and dinner options: They are scarce. This being a new hotel at the time of writing my review (Nov 2023), they haven't yet found their footing in food. Breakfast definitely needs more options beyond fruit salad, cereals and basic Indian fare (idli and poori with gravy). Dinner on site is tasty, with both veg and non veg options. Also, there is no swimming pool or spa centre available as yet, which draws down my value for money score. The only options for entertainment around the property are taking a walk to the villages around (very pleasant and safe) or sitting on the balcony and looking at the view, both of which are not enough for a 5* hotel, as the Viceroy markets itself as.

As of now (Dec'23), the property is brand new and really beautiful, located in a stunning green setting. The staff is trying to give a feeling of a real 5-star hotel. Amenities are high quality. All is very clean.

The staff is still learning - felt like they did laundry for the first time, there were miscommunication regarding food, they couldn't help a lot on anything outside of the property. Surrounding area was still being developed. Not easy getting by using English as well. But they are trying hard!

Nothing that I can remember!

From the minute we entered hotel we have been greeted with kindness and politeness. All staff is so friendly and so helpful, no matter what we needed they were there to help us. The hotel is superb, very comfortable, the surroundings are stunning! Abin has treated us with such a good attitude and patience, answered all the questions we had. Thank you so much Sir. We felt like a family. I highly recommend this hotel for relaxing stay. They do make the best tea! They also have a spa with very reasonable prices. We all used it and the messages were amazing! Thank you again to all team for memorable stay.

Staff were pleasant and accommodating, allowed a few hours early check in due to rooms being available. Rooms were kept clean and tended to, throughout our stay.

Could improve: - (Minor inconvenience) The shower button to change the hand shower to overhead was very stiff. Also the temperature setting for the shower fitting when changing to hot water were inconsistent. Bathroom fittings could be maintained better. - Food prices in the resort were far too high. - Included breakfast was ok, not exceptional. Also staff could have advised of what is available for the breakfast, as only heard they served ghee roast after our stay.

We had an amazing time at Viceroy the view from our room was gorgeous in all weathers and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the pool! The staff throughout the property were welcoming, professional and very helpful, they made our stay very memorable in all the right ways! We enjoyed the easiness of having a restaurant upstairs and enjoyed all of the meals we had there. We also appreciated the Masala chai!

The gym needs some TLC - neither of the fans worked and it seemed a bit neglected. I definitely didn’t want to use the yoga mat as there was nothing to clean it with and I wasn’t sure when last it was looked at. Don’t expect total luxury in facilities but the staff more than make up for it!

We informed that we were booking our stay to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary and the staff had taken extra care to make sure that my parents had a lovely stay. They arranged a special cake and we signed up to the candle light dinner for 4 which was offered by the chef and team which was fantastic. They arranged sightseeing tours with a lovely chap who was funny and highly experienced. All in all, we enjoyed the stay. The location is quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone who needs some quiet time to disconnect.

The hotel is located in a beautiful area and has amazing view on the mountains in the distance and palm trees. We loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view with a cup of coffee/tea! The room is spacious and bed very comfortable and big! Shower works perfectly (good pressure and hot water). The pool is beautiful and spa downstairs offered amazing massage experience for reasonable price. The game room is also good addition as we enjoyed playing pingpong and pool during the evening. The staff of this hotel is absolute gem! Absolutely every single person of the staff was welcoming, helpful, fun to talk with! We felt like home :) Breakfast is with plentiful options and variety. Dinner menu was also good and with good prices and quality.

The pool area needs more sunbeds, while we were there, these were always occupied so we used a picnic blanket on the grass, which was also enjoyable :) I recommend for the hotel to provide more sunbeds.
