Everything was exceptional: warm, welcoming service, beautiful facilities and spotless cleanliness, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, live concert in the courtyard (only until 10pm, then quiet and peaceful for a good night's rest), central location for exploring the town, 5 minutes from local bus stops to get to Calella, Llafranc and Tamariu, and 10 minutes walking from the main bus station for intercity travel. And all of this for great value for money. 10/10

Wouldn't change a thing.

Really nice place, super charming and beautiful, well located in the center of Palafrugell with bus to the beaches at 50 meters. Breakfast was nice, diverse enough to fit to everyone’s taste. The room was very clean and confortable, with a little balcony. The host are truly exceptional, they really like their job and you’ll feel it ;)

Hostal Plaja is central to bus station, and beach bus stop at Plaka Europa. Helpful host, beautiful gardens. Rooms are small and comfortable with ceiling fan to keep cool. Be prepared for many steps. Quiet location, comfortable beds. Good WiFi. Stay here to visit Palafrugel, Calella, Llafranc, and Tamarui (taxi). And Walk Camino Rhonda.

The owner was very friendly and it is a very nice location we where able to travel to many beeches by bus the town is nice to explore.

A bit of confusion as the hotel offers Jazz bands we didn't realize paying guests at the hotel are meant to pay a surcharge if they sit and watch from the courtyard. This was not specified however this money was refunded thankfully. If you listen from your balcony that is allowed for free.

It's s bit run down but they make efforts to keep it clean. This building is a not so pretty but functional. Bad insulation and expect noise from neighbours and showers and toilets.

The excellent location.

Noise, My room was at the end of the corridor next to the metal spiral staircase. Right after 8am, housekeepers come from there dragging their geat/equipment creating amplified noise or some guests walk on it noisily in the wee hours.

The location is central with an old-world charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean with an excellent and powerful shower. The convenience of all the local restaurants and shops made this a great place as a base to visit local attractions. The area always felt safe and secure which is a must for families. If you are expecting hotel-style accommodation this is not for you but if you want to experience the local culture in a safe, friendly and charming location, this is the right place for you.

The room was on the small side but had charm and as I was traveling alone, it was quiet and suited my needs. It was very clean with a lovely balcony. There is very little not to like about this place.

Carmen was incredible welcoming and friendly, and really made our stay comfortable. She offered suggestions of activities and we had some lovely days out based upon these. The building itself is very beautiful and we had everything we needed. It felt safe and quiet but also in the heart of the town centre.

Our only disappointment is that we didn’t stay during the days that there was live music in the courtyard. I’d recommend staying Thursday - Sunday to make the most of this as the courtyard was lovely, just a bit quiet during our stay.

A lovely, family run hotel with a great atmosphere. Carmen the landlady is a sweetheart and very accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for her. I would definitely stay there again.
