Julien, our host at the Villa Volcano was fantastic, attentive, careful, and helpful. He did everything he could to make our stay perfect and was.. ! He was very kind to recommend a local restaurant and make a reservation for us. It was at restaurant du Village Auvergnat in Orcines, right at the base of The Puy de Dome. Julien went out of his way, talking to the manager of the Restaurant who on his side as well was very kind to hold the kitchen staff for us. We ordered quickly not to abuse of the time given to us, the food and the service were great and everyone was absolutely very nice. Next Day at The Puy de Dome. Highly recommend The Villa Volcano. There was nothing we didn't like except NOT being able to stay longer. Definitely, in my address book for another possible stop, perfectly located 1/2 way between Paris and Narbonne/ Carcassone

Very comfortable and clean. Our host was informative and suggested two restaurants for us to try. He booked the tables for us and we were glad we took up his selection. He also had a supply of wines and beer that we could buy to bring home ( and as chance would have it, I am enjoying as I write, one of the beers I brought home). The room we had gave a lovely panoramic view of Clermont and we sat on the patio with wine which made it even better.

Breakfast was good but I would have liked to have had a little more bread available.

This is an absolutely fantastic place to stay. The house is beautifully clean, well maintained and decorated in a tasteful, modern style. There are private patios and a terrace from where you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views over Clermont Ferrand. The welcome from Julien, his customer care and attention to detail is second to none and the breakfast was copious and delicious. Stay here if you can, you will not be disappointed.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike;

The room was extremely clean and well maintained and had a fantastic view over Clermont-Ferrand from the bed. The host was very helpful and booked restaurant for us and advised on nice places to visit.

The location is in a villa area far from restaurants and shops, so you have to be prepared to drive for your dinner. A nice breakfast was served but at a long table with other guests which was a bit awkward. Would have preferred small tables.

Julien went above and beyond for us. When we told him about our early departure (6:45) he told us that he would try to get us a cup of coffee ready on the terrace at least to enjoy the view for a bit. To our surprise he had a full breakfast for us at 6:45 the next morning! Amazing view (both from our bedroom private terrace and from the breakfast one). Everything else was spotless. Thanks again!

The property had phenomenal views over Clemont Ferrand. parking was easy as it was a dedicated space. our room was on the ground floor and was beautiful but one negative was that in order to get fresh air in during the night you had to leave the outside door open. as there was shutters, it reduced the risk substantially however on a hot day I would imagine the room would be extremely hot as this one didn’t have air conditioning. i note that the upstairs rooms had good window ventilation and AC so perhaps should be your first choice

Beautifully presented in a quiet location with a magnificent view of Clermont Ferrand. The host was attentive and very friendly too. Couldn’t ask for more.

Maybe larger bath towels although not too much of a problem.

A fantastic setting the views are incredible good parking

Breakfast was a traditional French Breakfast with French croissant, butter, bread, orange juice, coffee and tea if you wish. Location was amazing with good top hill sightseeing to city.
