Of all the non-staffed facilities we've visited over the past few years (and we're not fans of the system) La Tour Grégoire could well serve as an example for others. Communication was flawless, timely mail and text in French and English with friendly, precise and as it turned out correct instructions how to open the front door, the door to the room, etc. Text messages sent by us to confirm our arrival got a prompt and friendly reply. Even our request to leave the luggage behind after checking out until we left the city was immediately followed by a positive answer. So, kudos. Location was easy to find, 15 minutes walk from the train station and in the middle of the city centre. Nice room, impeccably clean. We made no use of the kitchen facilities but they looked adequate, as was the breakfast (some items neatly stored in the fridge, modest portion of coffee by the easy-to-use coffee machine, croissants and bread hung up outside the room door in a small basket in the morning as promised). Room well shut off from outside noise and light. We'd come here again.

Bathroom facilities are a bit inconvenient: a separate toilet just next to the bed, shower room next to the toilet but a washing stand inside the room... Water piping hot, take your time to fine-tune.

Once we actually navigated our way to the property and found the parking, about 200 meters away, we were in for a treat. Super close to the old city square and surrounded in history. If you can manage, leave your big bag in your car and bring what you need in a carry all. The stairs are narrow and you really don't want to carry a 22 kilo bag up to the first or second floor. The breakfast basket was great with the addition of yogurt in the mini fridge you are going to be fine. The fresh rolls and croissants were a treat too.

Call it operator error and my poor translation of French to English. I called to get access the the room, when all I needed to do was read my text message from the management. They were quick to return my call and I apologized for my lack of reading directions carefully. The La Tour did everything as stated.

The entry details had been sent to us via email and text. Through no fault of the hotel these were not received so our getting in was not as easy as it should have been. A phone call managed to get the details sorted. Once in we found a lovely good sized ground floor room with more facilities than we needed. Everything worked well, even the breakfast delivery, combined with the milk, butter, yogurt etc in the fridge worked really well. We arrived by car, Un loaded outside then moved it to a local multi-storey car park. ( Cost around E20 for two nights ) We would stay here again.

We had no problems but another couple arriving slightly later had to deal with suitcases on the typical small French spiralling staircase to reach their room upstairs.

What a gem of a place. From the outside, this place looks grubby & a little unwelcoming, which is a shame, because as soon as we stepped into our room, it felt like a little haven of peace and comfort! The perfect size, modern and comfortable. There was milk, orange juice, yoghurts and butter in the fridge. There were coffee pods for the machine. The bed was lovely and big, as was the shower. It was lovely to wake up in the morning, and find a little basket of goodies hung on a hook outside the door, and to be able to sit at the table, enjoying breakfast before exploring. Thanks for the little details!

The quirky room, the decor and the facilities, the breakfast hung on the hook outside the door.

The noise from the building work, and the narrowness of the surrounding streets in terms of vehicular access. The sat nav was useless because so many roads were closed. We were fortunate to meet a local who led us, on foot from where we managed to park, to the property. Otherwise, in the car, we might still have been looking for it. The road closures are a nightmare.

Spacious room full of character and personality. Extremely helpful staff, quick to respond to questions. Good nearby restaurants. Comfortable bed and good bathroom and kitchen facilities. Super clean. Served my purposes well for a convenient overnight stay at the start of a trip.

If it's hot, the window of the nice ground floor room opens out a few meters from the street. The street is wonderfully quiet, but some might wonder about security, though probably not a problem. The 15-minute walk from the station includes rough surfaces and a steady uphill climb, the last stretch beautiful cobblestone, making the walk challenging if laden with luggage and/or pulling a roller bag. Nice basket of pastries is left outside the door for breakfast, but nothing for me matches a large cup of coffee! These are only considerations in a very agreeable room!

Perfect stay. Excellent communication with extremely easy check in. Wonderful facilities. Great WIFI signal. Short walk to a nearby secure parking garage. Wonderful breakfast. Everything was perfect.

Everything was great...maybe some empty shelf space for personal belonging might help but it's only a minor issue.

Everything was as expected, very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great too.

No parking and the recommended car park was too low to take our car with a top box on. Also there are extensive roadworks so the satnav would not take you to the property which when tired was a pain - but that wasn't the host's fault! We just wished they had warned us about the roadworks.

The location was excellent, and parking in the underground garage one block away was easy. The room we stayed in was on the top floor, but we didn't bring a lot of luggage up for just the one night. We walked to dinner at Il Visconti and it was my favorite dinner so far on this trip to France. I'd love to stay here again. Merci!

Well, the hosts must have had a lot of fun kitting out this apartment - it’s delightfully quirky and charming! Warm and cosy, well equipped, very comfortable bed - and an amazing breakfast appeared outside the door in the morning! Very central in Claremont within a short walk of everything. Would highly recommend!
