The rooms were very spacious, clean, and had fun themes. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful and had a great attitude considering they were the only one there when there was a line of people waiting to check in. They were efficient and handled everything well. I can't speak to the breakfast as we didn't have it, but it looked good!

The location was a little hard to navigate to and the parking garage was very small. The guests before us couldn't park because their van was a bit too tall. We were able to but it was a tight squeeze. Though I was happy they had parking so do appreciate that!

Lovely size room and nice decor and bathroom area. The reception and downstair area was quirky and the garage underneath was great. We did worry our car with a roofbox wouldn't fit but it just did. The breakfast was delicious and the view was spectacular with the cathedral and Puy de Dome in the background. Location great for the cathedral and restuarants at the main square and also for getting into and out of CF. Overall, very happy to have stayed here. Staff were also excellent!

Nothing much. Perhaps the price for parking was a bit steep but then you pay for convenience and it was definitely convenient. I'm not sure tere's anything else I'd pick up on. Might have been nice if they served dinner in the restaurant upstairs, especially with the amazing view.

It was a nice relaxing environment in the hotel. The breakfast is on the 6th floor and has a fantastic terrace offering a great view of clermont ferrand and beyond. We stayed in the junior suite, which worked well having the rooms separated by a sliding door, travelling with a child. The hotel offers an underground car park, securing our car with bikes in the back. It was first come, first serve but we didn’t have a problem parking.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hôtel Littéraire Alexandre Vialatte. The location is unbeatable—just a quick 5-minute walk to the historical center, making it easy to explore the city's rich history and culture. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was incredibly comfortable and provided great value for the price. The service was exceptional; the staff were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. If you're looking for a hotel that combines convenience, comfort, and excellent service, this is definitely the place to stay.

I booked the room short notice and we arrived at half past eight. The receptionist was immediately aware of the booking and explained where we could park the car. We got a nice family room on the 4th floor and the additional bed for our daugther was already prepared. We liked the view and little balcony, also the furniture in the room was smart and light. The reference to Kafka and his novels for the rooms was fun, as was the information on Alexandre Vialette in the room. Unfortunatley we did not have time to enjoy breakfast on the 6th floor (breakfast room looked beautiful) as we were in a rush the next morning. Well, it seems we have to come back. ;-) PS. Big thank you to the team for sending a forgotten mobile phone to us.

The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was very attentive to every need. The literary theme of the room was beautifully done. It featured a wonderful window overlooking the square, but for the best experience, you must have breakfast on the rooftop. There, you can enjoy a stunning view of the city dominated by the cathedral, as well as the surrounding volcanic mountains. All of this is paired with a truly fantastic breakfast made from high-quality local ingredients.

Convenient for the centre with its restaurants and bars. The hotel itself was better than we expected it to be for the price. The hotel was comfortable but the bed in our room had a little "usage" dip in it but was comfortable enough, comfy pillows! No milk in the room with the tea and coffee refreshments but in hind site, I could have just asked. Great view from the breakfast room and a pretty good buffet breakfast but hot options were limited.

There are a few City Centre road works going on and so we had a small diversion. On entering the underground car park, the underneath of my car grazed the pavement as the angle down from the pavement on to the ramp down is quite acute, same happened on the way out. I think the length of car will dictate if this happens but if you are lucky enough to own a Ferrari or Porsche, I think the car will be too low to the ground. Although the room and hotel were very clean, they missed the dust on the extraction fan covers in the toilet and bathroom of our room.

Friendly, welcoming staff. A sense of ‘this place is trying hard to please’: the curb appeal is… low, but the literary theming, the staff, the comfort of the room, the quality of the breakfast all more than make up for this initial impression. Good location - a short walk to the cathedral, and very close to the Basilica of Notre Dame du Port. I recommend this hotel for an overnight stop in Clermont Ferrand. Parking in the underground carpark was a welcome bonus!I

Breakfast was lovely, you have it on the top floor of the hotel and has a lovely view of the area, great choice of food to eat, bed was comfy, secure parking was really good... Lovely friendly staff, very smiley and very helpful...

I think it's a university town as it was very noisy outside around the town with people shouting and chanting a lot of the night till about two o clock, but it was a Saturday night and maybe it's quiet the other nights of the week...

The breakfast was excellent, one of the best we’ve experienced. The car park was good & secure & the room was functional & well equipped for a one night stay.

All the information, art work, brochures etc were only in French, some translation would have been beneficial to have understood more about the history of the hotel.
